  1. Ic: The sportscaster in Senegal's mind was yelling in his ear. "Senegal is down! Senegal is down and can't get up!" he yelled, as if taunting the toa of iron. His arms and legs were sticking together as if fused, though he could tell from the pain that they were very much separated, if not attracted. Magnetism, he decided. Blast it. His breathing was shallow and his chest armor seemed to constrict him like a snake wrapped around him, his breathing coming in shallow gasps for oxygen as he tried to stay awake. For the first time in a long while Senegal felt helpless, restricted. Blast that fool. But helpless wasn't hopeless. The invisible bindings around him were already unwinding, albeit very slowly and gradually, and he could finally move his toes and fingers. Furthermore, one of the people in the clearing was protesting this... being's actions. He wasn't alone. Good.

  2. Ic: Acheno Acheno nodded and followed the Toa without a word. The adrenaline had decreased just a tad and he didn't feel like wasting words.

Ic: "Excellent!" Danerys exclaimed. "Let's go." Ooc: Filler post. Dany and Acheno to... Ga-Wahi, let's say, since it technically is in that realm.
  3. Mentally check listing his alternatives, Xeth gave the prying Toa a cold stare. "Lad, ye best keep your nose where you can handle to keep it." He straightened up slightly, resting one foot on the sack. "Take what ye found that the accursed bird dropped and count yerself lucky."

Ic: "There has ta be a reason ye'r so protective," Senegal noted. "How about ye just share trust and let us know. There's no harm in tellin' where tellin's due. But there's no need in fixing for a fight," he said, shooting a look at the Skakdi who offered his sword in whatever was going to happen. "I can take you all down if I wanted to," Senegal proclaimed not out of pride but fact, turning his shoulder for all to look at it and see the tattoo he used as his trademark insignia. "But I don't want to, so let's settle this like men, not children."

  5. Jaime has POV chapters in the latter three books. Dany may not have any more claim to the throne than the rest of the lot, but all things considered, she's be a great monarch. She's not like the pompous and pampered Lannisters and actually has to fight to get the throne, which only serves to harden her resolve, skills and allies. In the end, assuming she does get the throne, it'd be great seeing someone who actually was in control and served the kind of justice that was difficult to find in the Baratheon-Lannister dynasty. Stannis Baratheon, however, is simply awesome. If there was one other person other than Daenerys who I want to see claim the throne, it's him. Calculating, cunning and just, he also has the largest claim of them all as Eddard Stark concluded. Like Dany, he's got to fight for it, and his fighting is by and large one of the most exciting parts of the series.

  6. Ic: Senegal bent over and picked up the shiny "trinket," inspecting it in the light. "This ain't no trinket and this ain't something to take lightly," he declared. "And from the looks of it this isn't just one of a dozen of the like. Now I'm no lawman, but I know the law. Where'd all this come from?" he asked.

  7. Ic: The sound of things dropping through the foliage caught Senegal's attention, and he was attracted to it, if mostly for the curiosity. Things falling in the jungle was not uncommon, as monkeys in the trees can let loose berries or branches, but there was no sign of such creatures in the area right now. He paused for a second, hearing one last item drop and hit a rock, the telltale ring alerting him to the fact that this was coinage, not vegetation, that was falling. And from the sound of it, others had already reached the coins and were asking about them. Not one to be daunted, though, Senegal marched forward closer to the sound and revealed his presence in a typical brash manner, swiping away the branches and dropping right into the midst of the other people. "'Ay!" he said loudly, "What's going on here?" Ooc: I'm too lazy to figure out who else is there. XP

  8. Actually... the Android market does suck. I have an Android phone and I must admit, it isn't quite as user-friendly as the Apple equivalent is. I still have a hard time getting used to it, and there are a ton of worthless apps in there. At least Apple regulates the apps on their markets. And iTunes is great! ... But then again, I do run it on a Mac, which is smooth as ice. :P

  9. It's Daenerys. xP Seen the show, love it to death. Read the first book and am in the process of the second. It's so hard to get copies of the books in my library, though! The show really made people check them out like mad. My favourite characters have to be Petyr Baelish, Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen, with a big kudos to Stannis Baratheon and Greatjon Umber.

  10. Ic: "Cool, awesome. Anyway, this mold was taken from one of my digging sites just outside of the forest in the many ridges around the Hura Mafa river. Whatever civilization made this stuff had to have had a settlement or something there, maybe even a temple or shrine or whatever. I've only started digging a little bit ago, but I uncovered the wall enough to make the mold. I'm actually headed there now, if you want to come and check it out with me!"

  11. I've followed MH very closely, and I've looked at a lot of the EMH videos. Can't say I've looked at much else, including TribeTwelve. But I really enjoy them all, and think that EMH is doing a great job at combining a lot of the best elements of the mythos and its extensions.

  12. Ic: Danerys was impressed that this man was interested. "Not so fast," she said, pulling the plaster mold back quickly. "I think it's only fair and courteous if we start this out with introductions, m'kay? I'm Danerys and I'm an archeologist and xenoresearcher slash explorer. You?"

  13. Ic: Acheno Acheno calmly watched the exchange between the twisted Karzahni-esque being and the Toa of fire. She had asked him a question and he was simply biding his time trying to come up with a decent reply, or wondering if it was worth replying at all. At length, after the mutated beast had stalked off, he spoke up slowly but deliberately. "I know where I am, if that's what you mean. This is the charred forest, is it not?" He got the feeling that's not what she meant, so he included another remark to be polite, not that he expected any reply. "Read any good mysteries lately?"

Ic: Danerys immediately got the impression that this guy knew exactly where he was but was just too lazy to leave. Maybe he was tired from a long journey or something, but his out-of-place follow up question seemed to point towards another direction: he was just lazy. "As a matter of fact, yes!" she exclaimed. "Well, sort of. I think it's a mystery, anyway." She came up to the toa and pulled a plaster print from her sack and extended it. It was an impression of a stone wall, likely a mural of some sort, as she explained it. "The language you see here isn't Matoran -- not even close. Now, I don't know who or what wrote this, but it's not alone -- there's an entire civilization waiting to be discovered somewhere here and we might be living on top of its remains! The question remains, however, what became of it and what was its extent. And it's my job to find that all out!"
  14. Edit: Grr, you. Ic: "Well, you found your bird, but... Um, soo... you're looking for a job... out here?" Danerys said, both skeptic and amused. "Sounds just a little shady to me! I mean, look around, won't you? This is hardly the place to have a job interview or whatever. What else did the poster say?"
