I will be on Autumn holidays from September 29th to October 11th. You won't be hearing from me that time at all, because the place I am going has no internet connection. You want to know where I am going?
There:
I thought I'd tell you early so nobody wonders when I am gone.
If you have a PC that has a processor and graphics card plus some ram and hard drvie space higher than the minimal standard, i highly recommend this game. If you like FPS. But the graphics are just breathtaking, the story is catchy and the game itself very much fun to play because of its open-ness!
So:
That image had forum's URL on it. I fixed it. -Shine
So I became a lifetime premier member, so you are not going to get rid of me anytime soon.
So welcome to my little dragons cave. I will occasionally update this thing with non-Bionicle art, findings on the net that amuse me (according to BZP policy of course) and other things.
So, if you want to ask me stuff, about me or things I do here on BZP, feel free to do so.
Just a few add-on facts about me, that have changed in the last two months:
I am 18 now (well, since a month, duh -.-), means I have come of age and I have me drivers license!
I am on summer holidays for another 3 weeks now.
I have a job next week.
And my artistic amition is low right now.
I will use these few days to make this blog work, before I buy myself a Premier membership. ^^
If you haven't heard about it yet, a Judge in New Zealand has entitled a 9 year old Girl to change her name...I'd have done the same if my name was that unusual...
during my recruitment workshop there was a camera team, putting together a documentary about getting the design job and the company in general. Very interesting and aside from my colleague Justin in Super Heroes, I show up in the background every now and then, not to mention our very own 55555 ^^
I know it's been quiet again for a few days. Which has mostly to do with the fact that I'm working on the usual secret stuff. BUT, today I can give you a heads up for something, if you have access to British television!
When I applied for the job, the Channel 4 TV crew were with us at the recruitment workshop, documenting the journey of my colleague Justin from application to starting the job. Normally these recruitment workshops are not open to the public, so if you want to see more of what goes on at one, check this out on Sunday. There is also a bit of footage of yours truly.
As those of you who play with me in the BZPRPG have probably noticed, I suddenly dropped out of activity last week. The reason for that is that I got the incredible opportunity to work at the Star Wars: The Old Republic booth at GamesCom in Cologne this year, via contacts I got from school.
We met the previous weekend for the initial briefing; and after clearing up all questions, we drove to Cologne on Tuesday, where we moved into the flats we would have during the week and to get our on-sit briefing at the booth. Once we arrived, we met with the people from Bioware and EA, mostly from the community management-side, but also the live-producer and lead pvp-level designer. They are incredibly nice people all around and it was a good reminder, why I want to work in the industry. On Sunday, I also had the great pleasure of meeting some of the community-managers for Mass Effect, another bunch of awesome people.
On Wednesday we had the press-visitors at the booth and also the 501st legion. I have nothing but respect for these guys. It was hard enough working at the booth for 10 hours with short breaks, to the point where some of us got serious pain in the feet. But imagine that while wearing several pounds of plastic armour and in Darth Vaders case, a full-body leather suit and 10lb helmet. They were awesome as well and so much fun, providing lots of laughter for everybody involved.
Then on Thursday, the gates opened for the general public and madness ensued. We channeled people through the booth in 20-minute intervals, so they could try the game if they hadn't played it yet or to try the new exclusive warzone the BW guys presented there.
But aside from working at booth, we had some really cool parties in the evening, from a community meet'n'greet on thursday to the Sony-party on saturday.
All in all, it was just amazing and totally worth all the work. One of the best weeks and best teams ever!
So yeah, that's where I was. I have a project-management test coming up on wednesday, so I need to study for that. But I am back and will get active again asap!
Whoa, hold on! That's just a song by Enrique Iglesias that's way too cheesy to be heard under normal circumstances.
The Hero-Factory parts on LDD on the other hand are hands down AWESOME
It was actually the first time using the program and from a users point of view, it is very friendly as far as software goes as well, most commands are intuitive and everything is readily accessible. Took me less then a minute to figure it all out. Of course that is because of the target demographic, you can't expect Kids who's years have not entered double-digits yet to be a Photoshop pro. So whoever put it together did a great job!
I went and made three heroes of my own. And they turned out so cool that I'll probably buy them too!
So definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a fun building time without real bricks.
I am a little uncomfortable thinking about the prospect of spending the majority of my day staring at a computer-screen.
As in, literally spending 18 hours a day in front of a screen.
I managed to avoid almost all christmas songs until today
Now I can listen of my own free will...and there are some good Christmas songs ^^
Now I'll be off to bed, decorating the tree when I wake up again, wrapping the presents hidden in my room and then we'll be off to Granma to celebrate.
"I want you to take a piece of paper and start scribbling away. Don't think, just draw and as soon as you think there is something in your linework that you can use start randomly developing from there."
Our last task for the day, to be continued tomorrow ^^
Oh and our teacher has worked on movies like 10.000B.C. and the perfume, the man has serious skills!
Which he will teach us which in turn will lead up to eventually designing a head and modeling out of plastilin. SO HYPED!
