Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews) is 75 today? Whoa ^^
Speaking of years, I think I'll get my hands on the remastered John Lennon CDs.

And even more talk about remastered stuff: Starwars I-VI in 3D?

So the game is out since a couple of days now...unfortunately I can't play it since I do not own a 360 and do not plan to buy one soon. I am just not a fan of consoles.

What I am a fan of is Spartan Supersoldiers though ^^ Now what to do with 8-10 Armors scored at BFair...oh RIGHT!

Bought a new sorting box for all my Lego pieces, took care of some errands, cleaned my room up further and went to Granma's to make Pancakes with her. Yummy!
I'd say this qualifies as a good day, though not a 100% sure.

It's sunny, I just worked on some chores while freshly brewing coffee.
You're welcome to have a cup and some marble-cake,
or some tea, if that is more to your liking, hang out here and take a break ^^

I'll work on some art in the meantime.

    Have a good day everyone!

So, after one week of settling back in and PC troubleshooting and family-business and school organizing and cleaning up my room I finally found the time to update the blog.
My flight back home was a bit of an adventure. I left the hostel on time, I caught the bus on time, or rather, I was quite early for my flight. Of course that advantage was completely turned around a 180° when the actually boarding began. The plane was 15 minutes late which resulted in a 30-minute delay for the departure. First and executive class getting special treatment and getting to go on board first in a terribly slow pace is not good for anger-management either.
It wouldn't bother me at all under normal circumstances, but if there is an inter-Atlantic flight waiting for you in Toronto and you arrive in a rush, things get quite stressful. So stressful inf act that when I killed the time by reading up on Wikis to pass the waiting time before boarding, that I totally forgot to grab my Laptops powerchord when packing up my carry-on, so the first half of this week was spent without any Internet.

But I made it home safely in the end and enjoyed a good in-flight movie as well and finally got to buy that airline-exclusive Lego-Set you can only purchase in board ^^ It's pretty neat.
Unfortunately on arriving I found that my backpack, due to the short timeframe of my first flight did not make it onto the plane. 5 months and not once I run into trouble...but try to get back home and trouble begins...maybe it's a sign?
Anyway, mom and dad picked me up, were happy that I was safe, were not so happy that I bought so much stuff while under way and all in all it's back to normal in Germany.

I miss all you cool people on the other side of the ocean though.

Which leads to the purpose of this entry: Thankyous!

Giant (I'm talking "that's no moon that's a spacestation"-sized) thanks to CJ, Nukaya, Sisen, Lady K and families. Without you the last 6 months would not have been possible in the way they were. Thanks for taking me along, being awesome friends and just for sharing a great time. And thanks for putting up with this strange guy from Germany. He is a funky/odd fella. ^^
That being said, let me just put in a little disclaimer and say that there is no scale in this universe with which one could measure the awesome of the aformentioned people.

    Peace Out!

You may talk like yer part'o some cut-throat blackhearts-crew, but let me tell all you landlubbers a lil' secret:
    I could actually set sail!

For now, enjoy yer Pirate-talkin' day. May the wind be in your sails and no Jolly Roger on the horizon. Except for yours!

Once again it is well past midnight except this time I do not have a legit reason to stay up this late unlike a few weeks earlier when it consisted of doing awesome art with awesome people sitting in their awesome room trying to keep each other awake (you know who you are and you are awesome )
I am trying to decide, wether or not to adjust my sleepschedule back to more homely times which means going to bed and waking up at odd ours while on this side of the atlantic and turn into a northamerican undead (non-sparkling) while waiting for a flight, or be a sane person and go to bed at regular times and combat the jetlag by the means of groundhog-day-like sleeping until the time is right again to come out into daylight again (Ahhhh the burn!).

Suggestions or anybody with a coffin I could rent, depending on what the majority vote turns out?

PS: When has it become in to pimp "totally" into totes? I see where it is a hip thing and saves you typing an additional 2 keys therefore prolonging your keyboards life, but on the other hand it sounds strange to me, a German, to whom "totes" is an attributive adjective meaning DEAD. ^^

So, I did as threatened and stopped by ubisoft Montréal, met one of the guys who worked on AC 1+2 and Brotherhood and thanked the guy randomly, then went to the lobby and...oh, I am not gonna spoil it
Just wait til the end of the week.

Whoever thought of calling the "Brotherhood assist move" in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood that is genious!
I should seriously drop by Ubisoft Montreal while I am here and thank them personally or something

And if you thought "Internet-Drama", all I can say is: "gotcha".

I just spent the last night mostly lying with my head on my left arm which apparently cut of the circulation and led to some very mild nervous damage in my left hand. Long story short: It tingles and feels weird.

Guess that happens when your head becomes too heavy for your own good. At least I didn't hit myself in the face like last time this sort of thing happened...

In other news, I will be relocating again. Next time I post it will probably be back from Canada, Montréal to be precise ^^

Now, before you ask, you can not drive Golfballs of the back of the A-12 Blackbird, don't let "I am Legend" fool you, that was just a movie!
Other then that, it is pretty awesome hanging around a decommissioned Aircraft Carrier for a day.
Very interesting, specially with the Audio-Tour and especially with the Jet-Simulator.
It turns up and down and all around and you're supposedly controlling the aircraft. And it is FUN!
That particular ride ended when I was halfway through and upside-down looping...oh well ^^

Other then that, being the aircraft-nerd I am it was amazing and since they have a Concorde on display I went to check that thing out as well, it is a beauty indeed.
On the way out I bought a US Airforce Cappy and then I went here to chill for the rest of the day.

    What about you people? ^^

Hey y'all. I finally got settled in in NYC. It is smelly, loud and fast and I love it ^^

How to keep the fun going after BFair? I dunno. The awesome combination is like a chemistry-formula that may not be receated like this, but certainly going to the biggest TRU on Times-Square and continue checking out brand-new sets (and feeling smug because we've seen them all out of the box ) keeps that feeling going.

Needless to say I picked up a few things. In which case I need to watch oout because now I don't have CFs awesome help with shipping 10 pounds of brick home...

    Anyway, back to sorting through images...and going to the Museum of Natural history. Last time I went my camera was lost on a bus and awesome images never made it home ;_;

I just wanted to shout out another big thank you to all you awesome people I met at Brickfair! It's been such a rush leaving and going to NYC and getting settled in here that I couldn't truly appreciate the greatness yet.
It's just an amazing feeling to leave something like that with the knowledge to have made a bunch of new friends ^^
And just to add some more detail (in no particular order):

Rob, you are truely a master of sarcasm and a master of alternate storytelling. Plus you're from BC, which is plain awesome!
Joe, thanks for letting me room with you! It's just fun being in your company. And to look at that purple Brick on your badge ^^
Andrew, like a Boss. A truly great Boss. They always told me if you think your teachers are bad wait til you meet your first Boss. Those people are just WRONG!
Deb, thanks again for helping me out with that Gali-scribble. It just a fact that if it weren't for your art I would not be here. Like, at all.
Ray is just plain awesome, no matter what the situation.
Aaron. Your man-jump was the awesome icing to an awesome cake (which in this metaphor, is a video).
Jason, for baking that cake (filming that video) and all the other videos.
Ben, you helped me out in dire need. I had no place for that last night and even if it was invisible, I was really worried that I might be stuck with no place to go. And for helping me with shipping those 10 pounds of bricks home.
Maddison, just for being cool. Hope this gets better again.
Cameron, the man-jump partner in crime and awesome mocist. I salute you.
Josh, I kept my promise, I rejoined the RPG. A small thankyou for such big an amount of coolness.
Ean, your hair and your humor, my thanks!
Yannick, your blue shirt just rocks. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Pat, I almost forgot to add you here. RayG straightened me out, that's why he's on here. You are in fact so awesome, I don't know where to begin the list and where it would end.

And everybody else who was there, Waffles, Raptor, Speaknspell, Levaklah...*continues*

    Just THANKS!

First of all: LK, I read your blog and I just wanna say two things: First of all I wanna thank you for having me over, and secondly that I was never at any moment annoyed with you (only concerned when you weere hiding in your room)

Now, live from Brickfair, it's VF reporting in. I can just say it is awesome. I talked to official Lego employees and I am hanging out with some of the most amazing people!
Or like Darth Vader said, this is the purgatory for Lego Fans!
I can't write any more...it's just too much to list.

PS: If you guy think Nukaya's squeaking is adorable, you should hear Kohaku

PPS: It has been declared, by the men of the union of manliness, after consulting with Isaiah Mustafa, that Kohaku does squeal in a manly manner!

The Temperature is rising, the Barometer is going low. Tonight, for the first time, just about half past ten, I will be sleeping in NYC.

This was awesome. Plain awesome. (With a sprinkle of sadness). I met some of the most fantastic people (which means my blogwatch list got a lot longer ^^), on and off BZP and experienced so much cool stuff and got to do so many fun things. I am lazy with pictures though so you will have to wait for those I guess.
But this is the pinnacle of the trip which started out awesome and got exponentially more awesome as time progressed until it exploded with awesomeness...ok, I am going to stop using the word awesome now...

Signing off, leaving for NYC tomorrow.

Just a little question to the community!
Anybody willing to pick up a fellow BZPer at the Dulles Airport tomorrow around 11:30am before the expo starts to to drop me off at my hotel which is like 10 minutes away from the airport?

    Help would be appreciated!

And if not, I'll just take a cab

EDIT: Allright....I am about to board the flight now. Hanging around airports is boring!
