  1. IC: Lantz stopped walking and stood still. His ears peaked. He heard some noise in the distance. He wasn't quite sure where it was coming from, so he continued along hs path. It was dark in the tunnels, so he jogged lightly with his hands on the wall with writing on it. ooc: Just to make it clear, there was a hole which led into an underground tunnel. In the tunnel there is another hole, which leads to an even deeper tunnel.
  2. IC: Lantz seethed with anger at the sight of the Mana Crabs. Before that Turaga Nokama had removed his Toa Energy, Lantz would have been able to deal the Crabs with ease. Heck, if Lantz could destroy an entire harbor, which he very nearly did, he was probably nearly a match for an entire colony of the Crabs. Now he was here, confronted with two Mana and most likely death as well. Lantz could not have that, not when he was so close to Makuta and the restoration of his abilities.Lantz stood his ground. The two crabs approached, then stopped, gazing at the lone turaga of Gravity. Lantz could almost see one of their mouths grin just a touch.Luckily enough, Lantz still retained a small portion of elemental abilities. Not enough to kll the Crabs, but enough to stop them from being a problem. After a few seconds the Mana attacked. Lantz clapped his hands in front him, releasing a burst of his elemental energy. Gravity immeadiately lessened it's effects on the crabs. Each step they took pushed them further away from the ground until they were slowly floating past Lantz.Lantz fell to one knee and panted. He felt weak. So weak. He hated the feeling. Lantz jumped into the hole, delving even further into the earth. He didn't have much time. The effects of his attack on the Crabs wouldn't last long, and when the Mana finally returned to the ground they would be after Lantz with a vengeance. Lantz shuddered at the thought.Lantz jogged slowly through the deeper tunnel. This one was different from the one above. Here he could see distinct letters carved into the walls, in a language he could not understand. Had he the time he may have examined it, but he did not. So he kept on jogging.
  3. IC: "Well, then, we must be off" LoJak said. "After you?" he asked, stepping aside and gesturing with his hands for Pirok to begin walking.
  4. Ah, but as I said when I started this, what you see is PLAYER knowledge. All four groups who have discovered the clues thus far have NO IDEA of the other groups or what they have learned. So IC, we have about 95% of the game population ignorant of any of these developments, 4% who know only one of the four clues, and 1% who know more than that. There is a reason I'm killing myself now for several early clues, because they will come in later when the story takes a more linear track. Yes, and it would be your duty if you were to start to do that. I can't be everywhere at once nor play everyone at once, which is why crime is so rampant and the crooks get away. Though if you ask any older member (or Toa Fanixe for that matter) IF I catch you, the penalties are severa and as he found out, undesirable. I don't like, nor do most people, too much chaos in a game, it destroys it. So let's just say this: if you want me to catch you, please keep me up to date on this. If not, I suggest you let the matter drop Yeah, trying to wreck Ga-Wahi's harbour - not a good idea. Unless of course you want your Toa to be Turaga'ized. I'm gonna go ahead and guess the same goes for certain other crimes as well.
  5. IC: Lantz noticed a slight depression in the undergrowth in the area surrounding Kini Nui. He hurried over to it, and was surprised by what he found. Beneath a number of plants was a hole in the ground, and by the looks of it, it levelled out and enlarged into a tunnel. He carefully climbed down into it, holding on to roots to prevent falling head forward. Finally inside, he began to walk. The tunnel continued for quite some time, further than he could see. He also noticed several sets of footprints in the thick layer of dust, and from what he could tell, they were recent.Minions of the Shadowed One, perhaps? It never occured to him that a group of of wholesome Toa may have entered the tunnel, such as Merror and LoJak.Eventually Lantz came upon a former scene of battle. On the side wall was a large shaft of light, which seemed to have been formed by people climbing out. On the floor were a few scorch marks, the legacy of some Ta Toa perhaps, and two dead Kraata. Lantz smiled. I'm getting close. ooc: The good Friar?
  6. IC: "Of course Pirok. You don't survive a swarm of Nui Rama with someone and then refuse to help them save another" LoJak said. "Besides, helping you would probably keep me travelling, and travelling stops the bookies from finding me."
  7. IC: "I would think it's dangerous, if a Vortixx is involved" LoJak said. "But do you think it wise to attempt to stop him by yourself?" he asked Pirok.
  8. IC: Lantz saw a few beings gathering. One was a toa using elemental abilities to shield itself with air. Lantz tried not to look. Ever since that turaga took away his own Toa Energy and turned Lantz into a turaga as well. No, Lantz would find Makuta and offer his services in exchange for powers that were taken from him. ooc: interaction?
  9. IC: Lantz arrived at Kini-Nui, not sure what exactly he was looking for. It took hime quite some time. First he went and visited the Suvas. He realized then that the legends did them no justice. One of them was slightly damaged, but Lantz figured the damage was quite likely caused by time itself. He glanced around and noticed a path of destroyed Infected Masks. Now, that was curious. he rushed over and inspected the ground around the pieces of Kanohi. He saw a trail, which he eagerly followed. ooc: Interaction?
  10. IC: LoJak was a little insulted by Protidor's remark. "Hey, I'm also a Toa of Fire. I'm also an all-fiery one" he said.
  11. IC: "I agree" LoJak said, concurring with Merror. "Lately, there have been series of... events....and they have been occuring with increased frequency."
  12. IC: Lantz thought for moment. Then he had an idea. Without saying anything to Knidia, he started walking to Kini-Nui. He would allow her to decide if she wanted to follow. ooc: Lantz to Kini-Nui
  13. IC: "Confront her? Did you not see what she just did to me? No, I will regain my powers some other way. Now let me pass!" Lantz demanded.
  14. IC: LoJak watched as the group began to splinter. Making a quick choice, he ran after Merror. He too used the platform and followed Merror's path. He walked over and saw him talking to a Ko Matoran. LoJak waited for the two to finish speaking.
  15. IC: "What is it you want from?" Lantz exclaimed. "You stopped my destruction of the harbor, you have stripped me of my title and my abilities. Either let me go free or help me reclaim what I lost!" Lantz stamped his foot on the ground, and he looked down. He was nearing a nervous breakdown. ooc: thanks I guess. although the whole being stripped of toa-ness was kinda unexpected Friar.
  16. Is there EP on Mata-Nui? I'm not sure if I'm confusing it with Metru Nui.
  17. IC: "What you say makes no sense. I had a destiny as a Toa - and destinies cannot simply be to be some sort of link in a chain. Nor can it be to to do something as a turaga. I was a Toa for a reason. And that reason was not to grow old and die as a weakling. No, Nokama stole my destiny. And I'm going to get it back. You don't have to help me if you don't want to. But I don't see how your conscience would let you after what you allowed to happen to me." LoJak began taking some steps away. "You coming?" he asked the Ga-Toa.
  18. IC: "No" Lantz answered. "She practically removed by elemental and Kanohi powers. She has prevented me from fulfilling my destiny. Do you not believe in second chances?"
  19. IC: "Surely you can't agree with what Nokama did?!?" Lantz asked Knidia. "Imprisonment, slavery, forced community service - I could deal with those punishments. But what Nokama did? It was... It was... It was mutilation, that's what it was. How would you feel if someone had done that to you?"
  20. IC: Lantz was led away by Knidia. The shock of the previous events was still too much to bear. "What have you done?" he whispered to Knidia. Never before had he been so - humiliated. "What am I supposed to do now?"
  21. ooc: *takes the ammo and loads it* IC: "About, oh, a hundred years ago or so, the six Toa Mata arrived and did battle with Makuta. As is evident by our very conversation, they lost.Since then, little has changed for the citizens of Mata Nui. They have continually lived under threat of coming slavery and destruction by the darkness that is Makuta. And so I, and others, have asked ourselves "why?" Why does Makuta continue to reign, even when there has been a surge of Toa on the island?"The answer lies with you" Lantz said, pointing his finger at Nokama. He laid this accusation with no venom or hate, stating it as if fact."You and the turaga have done nothing to truly save the matoran of this island. That is why I attacked Ga Koro.Makuta won, but he must have done so at great cost, or he would have already enslaved every Matoran on the island. so he bides his time. But every ruler needs a people and land to rule. The attack on Ga Koro was meant to draw Makuta out. And when he does - well, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it."
  22. IC: "Yes, oh wise and ancient Turaga" Lantz said, sarcasm evident in his voice. "How do you a judge a man that was simply trying save the island of Mata Nui?"
  23. IC: "Oh yes, very true. Each and every part of it." Lantz smiled, seemingly impressed with his actions. "It all went perfectly according to plan. Well, at least until two certain Ga and De Toa thought it their prerogative to stop me."
  24. IC: "I agree with the old 'un" Lantz said, referring to Turaga Nokama. He seemed to find the fact that he was bound humorous. "What exaclt is the meaning of this?" he asked.
  25. ooc: Thanks Tazaak for keeping LoJak in the loop. IC: "So are we going to Matau or not? All this "murder but not really" business is quite confusing, and I'm not clear on whether our friend here is guilty or not" LoJak said, suddenly speaking up. He really had to pay attention more.
