  1. Seriously? Makuta characters plan on attacking the ILS, but dont try to stop an ILS assault on the Hive in Le-Koro? Seems like Lantz/Skaarn arent the crazy ones on the island.
  2. IC:LoJak breathed for a few minutes. Now that he thought about it, the ground wasn't too bad. As long as you're lying on it there's no way you can't fall. He should spend more time on the ground. Here in Po-Wahi there sure was a lot of it, so maybe the Koro wasn't too bad after all. If only they could do something about the alcohol here..LoJak tried to collect his bearings, but the other people in the pub were making far too much noise. Every laugh and yell induced another jolt of pain in LoJak's already hurt head. He decided he had to get out. Carefully - and especially quietly - he grabbed hold of his sword and slid it back in its' sheath. Then he grabbd to nearby stools and pulled himself up. He went too fast and the building swirled, so he slowed and held his head in place with one hand. Finally upright he released his hold of the stools and kept his arms wide for balance. This wasn't too hard, he thought.Gently moving one leg in front of the other he made his way to and out the door. He thanked Mata-Nui that they didnt make squeaky wood floors in Po-Wahi, which would have done a real number on him. He shuddered at the thought of the sound and the pain it would bring. He carefully traipsed away from the bar. Luckily enough there were a number of bars in the area which kept the locals nice and drunk, so not too many people saw LoJak walking like a fool. This place just keeps on getting better and better,he thought. That's when gang of wild hooligans began to approach from down the street behind LoJak. They probably weren't actually troublesome or rowdy, but in LoJak's current state, they might as well have been. They were shouting at each other, and throwing some sort of ball around. All the sound..... it was gonna make his head explode. He had to get away.As quickly as he could, he made his way to the nearest pub he could find, the one he had been in earlier now well ten buildings away and out of reach. He tried not to make any unneccessary movements, but it was rather hard, and he felt like his brain was on fire. LoJak walked up to a pub door. He swung his arm towards it, but froze an inch before. Thinking better of it, he lightly knocked on the door. No point in killing himself, not now. He'd just began to like the Koro."Let me in" he whispered. Raising his voice to a normal level, he continued "Please save me!" He swooned and nearly fell over. He caught himself on the doorpost. He saw the gang getting closer. He prayed someone had heard him.ooc: Katuko, think you can help now? Toa of sonics have good hearing don't they?
  3. IC:Lojak sighed, looked deep into his glass and turned it over trying to drink. Nothing fell from it into his mouth. LoJak sighed again. He'd blanked out for a minute there. Too busy thinking about nothing to focus on what was around him. That, or drunk. Hopefully the former, although that probably wasnt the case. He turned his head towards the sky and groaned. How had things gotten so bad! Then he rememberd he was inside a pub, so technically he was looking at the ceiling, and felt rather stupid. Or drunk. He groaned again. Not too long ago he'd been fighting with other Toa, helping to defeat evil infect Rahi alongside heroes such as Merror. At some point he'd gotten seperated from the fighters, and became helplessly lost in the tunnels beneath the Island of Mata-Nui. He had wandered for days without food or water in dark, unable even to use his powers to create light for himself out of fear that Makuta had his minions around. After what seemed like an eternity LoJak emerged from the darkness into the sun-filled land of Po-Wahi, half deluded and starving. He'd happened upon a barkeep, who invited him to stay at a pub he owned for a few days. LoJak had been there for over a month already. He wondered how he'd ended up in such a sorry state, drunkard in Po-Wahi. He knew the answer, of course. Makuta. Makuta truly was the root of all evil, at least on Mata-Nui. It was he that had killed the Toa Mata, he that had unleashed the Infected Masks on the Rahi and it was he that felled Mata-Nui, guardian Spirit of the island. LoJak would stop him. Yes, he decided, he would march right on up to Kini-Nui and put an end to Makuta. He withdrew his sword and raised it to the air and stood up. Suddenly his legs wobbled and the bar seemed to be shaking. Then, before he could block, the floor rose up and hit him square in the face, knocking him unconscious. He awoke on the floor, his sword beside him. Okay, he thought, first I'll process that poison they call wine here, then I'll go save the Island. And hey, at least I'm not hungover. His sword was dropped beside him, clanging on the floor. His world exploded in pain and white lights, every artery pulsing and ready to burst . He crumpled into a ball, not knowing what else to do. "And careful with that sword of yours" the barkeep said after having returned the blade to LoJak. "Nobody in your condition should be holding something as sharp as that.""Make it stop" LoJak whimpered, holding his ears. "Make the sounds stop" he begged to no one in particular. Ok, he thought after the pain subsided a little, so maybe I am a little hungover.ooc: Interaction anyone? Katuko maybe?
  4. I believe the Nui-Rama assault is ongoing, and that we're all still kinda waiting for Nuju to post. And don't worry, you're not the only one with a character hanging.
  5. IC:There was a surge of Nui-Rama, and fresh waves burst forth from the hive. Those that were closer to Lantz flew and intercepted the madu cabolo flung at him, and one of the insects exploded, limbs and juices flying everywhere, drenching the Hordika. The new Nui Rama, and what seemed like Rahkshi as well, proved an excellent distraction, allowing many Nui-Rama to fly to Lantz' aid. They grabbed hold of him and surrounded him, forming a protective cluster, and began taking him to the Hive, close to Toa Heuani."Let me go!" Lantz yelled, "release me!" However, nobody heard him over the din of the battle and the buzzing of the Nui Rama, and due to the insects that were surrounding him, not many could see him either. Nobodu, that is, except for Skaarn. You could just let me regain control. I already have control over most of your body, besides your head. And we were doing so much better when I was in charge. You're a monster and spawn of Makuta's cruelty. He betrayed our deal when he created you. I will never willingly submit to your will. Never!!!Have it your way. But you know a well as I that all it takes is the right blow to the head to release me....Lantz sighed. He knew it was true. It was only a matter of time. The wound in his shoulder continued to hurt, but wasn't bleeding as much. It seemed pressure from the Nui-Rama's claws were helping, at least a bit. Still, Skaarn continued to controlled his limbs, and, more importantly, his powers. Lantz' arm was still on his back spinning a Rhotuka, one that when launched would be quite powerful. It was Skaarn's doing, and despite Lantz' best efforts, he could not regain control and stop him.
  6. what exactly is a madu cabolo? one of my char's got one thrown at him, just wondering how to respond to it
  7. IC:Lantz could sense telekinetic powers once more being used, the Nui-Rama he rode upon being dragged down by the invisible force towards the ground, nearing dangerous speeds. Lantz sincerely hoped that the Toa would be able to put an end to Skaarn's reign of terror through Lantz' body, and that that end would come in a few moments. "Hurry up" he yelled at the Toa, "before he can try anything again!"Spoken like a true prophet. What?!? No!Skaarn, who was in control of much of the body (besides the head) he shared with Lantz, grabbed one of the limbs of the Nui Rama they rode upon and steadied himself. Skaarn was careful to continue charging the Rhotuka, depsite Lantz' mental assault to regain control of his faculties. Then, just as the Nui-Rama and the Hordika were about to crash into the ground Skaarn used their body's legs to jump from the insect, counting himself lucky that the Toa had used his telekinetic powers to target the beast instead of the Hordika. They landed harshly, and the pain from the wound in their shoulder grew. Luckily it was only Lantz who felt it, who felt sick to his stomach with the knowledge that Skaarn could ruin his body while Lantz watched helplessly. Despite their body's protestations and Lantz' pain, Skaarn forced his and Lantz' body to run and take cover behind trees, waiting for the Nui-Rama to regroup and for the other servant of Makuta to whittle down the invaders' numbers."I'm over here!" Lantz yelled at the Toa. He might not be able control where he went but he could give his and Skaarn's position away, and hope the Toa were powerful enough. Soon enough their body might collapse anyways from sheer exhaustion and loss of blood. Lantz sincerely hoped that the Hordika body had some sort of accelerated healing, even if only slightly. His body couldn't take much more.ooc: Kinda hope Nuju posts soon and helps us Makuta Minions out...
  8. IC:The Nui-Rama continued to edge Skaarn ever closer to the hole the invaders had created in the Hive, and Skaarn continued to charge the Rhotuka, despite the wound in his shoulder. It would likely be a race against time, Skaarn's ability to maintain consciousness and for the insects to push him versus the invaders assault on Skaarn and the Nui-Rama that acted as his shield. Suddenly several blasts of plasma were fired straight at Skaarn, but the second wall of Nui-Rama that had formed earlier took the brunt of the damage, three or four fatally injured and about 5 that suffered burns on several parts of their bodies. There was little Skaarn could do to help them in his state, and he needed to charge the Rhotuka for as long as possible. Then, as if the battering so far was not enough, arched lightening approached from above, quickly nearing Skaarn and the ball of Nui-Rama that surrounded him. When the electricity hit it quickly spread throughout all the Nui-Rama and Skaarn, although lessening in charge with each being it passed through. Those at the top of the cluster produced a loud 'zapp'ing noise and fell to the groud, smoke coming from their bodies. Most of the other Nui-Rama seemed okay, although some kept on twitching their limbs every few seconds, and those near the top seemed about ready to collapse. Skaarn himself felt a bit of electricity, but it didnt seem enough to harm. But as the energy made it's way towards, Skaarn's head, the battle between consciousnesss returned."I'm free! Yes! Finally!" Lantz bellowed in joy. He had finally regained control of his body. "But no- no, this isn't right!" Despite his best efforts, he could not move his limbs, nor could he vanquish the Rhotuka that was still spinning on his back. You haven't won that easily. The shock may have granted you dominance with regards to speech. But I still control most of your body and your powers. You fiend. When will ever I be rid of you?Never. "Please, help me!" Lantz yelled to the Toa. "If there's any goodness in your hearts, help free me!"As the Toa below listened to his pleas, those Nui Rama that remained continued to push him towards the hole. They didn't care who spoke, only who wielded the power, and that was Skaarn. Other Nui-Rama began to approach, ready to bolster the Rama shield if need be; then they began to leave, speeding towards a giant ball of electricity towards their death. Perhaps Skaarn's plot will be stopped after all, Lantz wondered. While Skaarn controlled his body and charged the Rhotuka Lantz, trapped, could only hope the Toa would not think him completely mad.ooc: Hope that was ok
  9. ooc: you guys arent making this easy...IC:Luckily the large number of Rama surrounding him provided great protection against the explosions, although the Rama themselves ended up being blown apart and covering those below in green juices. Electricty seemed to be jumping from insect to insect towards Skaarn, so he instructed those that remained to move away to the right, directing the chain-lightening away from the servant of Makuta. Skaarn's mind worked fast, trying to deal with every threat as they came at him. He saw another blast of electricity fly towards him, with a disk surrounded by hot plasma trailing just behind, and some ice blasts headed for him as well. Skaarn figured the ice blasts and plasma would intercept each other and hopefully negate the other, more or less, but that still left the electricity. He turned to the left slightly, right arm sliding over his left shoulder to his back and creating a Rhotuka. He then whipped his arm forward and swung the Rhotuka, turning his body into the throw, and aimed the disk straight at the electrical blast.Suddenly there was a stinging pain in his left shoulder. Skaarn thought something may have gone wrong with the Rhotuka, but then his brain registered that the pain was caused by some sort of bolt or arrow. It had probably been aimed at his spine, but had missed when Skaarn had turned his body to throw the Rhotuka. Before he could collect his wits there was another explosion of sound and light as the Rhotuka hit the electricity, stopping it from nearing Skaarn. Still, the Hordika had been buffeted by the explosion and the bolt, and he had to get moving, although he didnt quite feel up to it.Nui-Rama flew towards him, more than before, and again pushed against the barrier. Another batch flew a nearly dozen feet from him, forming a second wall to protect him. He began charging another Rhotuka. Injured, he would not be able to fight much longer, not without reinforcements other than the Nui Rama. But if he was lucky he might have enough time to charge the Rhotuka. If the Rhotuka was charged enough, and if it could hit the part of the Hive that the invaders had created a hole in, Skaarn might be of service yet. The Rhotuka would increase the weight of the stone - it could either reinforce the stone in the tunnel, making it harder for the invaders to tunnel further, or it might just collapse the tunnel itself."Faster" Skaarn urged the Nui Rama. More approached to push and protect him. He needed them to hurry. He could feel his strength begin to fade from the wound in his back.
  10. No offense taken. But someone's got to use the Nui-Rama semi-intelligently. Not much of a fight if everyone's just pouding on the innocent little insects..EDIT: and it provides you guys with something to do till Nuju posts
  11. IC:Skaarn saw the iron-Rama bomb fly towards him as well as another electrical blast. He wondered how it was possible for Toa with such "noble" motives to be so unskilled at working with each other. Skaarn had the Nui Rama scatter, if only momentarily. It wasn't as if he was scared of getting hit. Both bomb and blast collided with the force field that had been erected around Skaarn. There was an explosion and a blast of blinding light, but at the end Skaarn remained where he was, unscathed. The Nui-Rama began to return and push against the barrier again, moving him closer to the hole the invaders had created."It is your choice really, ignorant Toa" Skaarn called out to the invaders. "You can lower the barrier and let me through to the Hive, or you can keep it up, in which case I will still get through to the Hive, albeit a little more slowly. Delaying the inevitable is all you are doing. You might as well run back home."
  12. IC:The beam of ice shone as bright as the sun as it sped toward Skaarn. He nearly burst out laughing. He was no longer alone. This close to the hive the throng of Nui-Rama was at its greatest, and each could serve Skaarn. He was, after all, a servant of Makuta. He quickly shot a Rhotuka at the beam which fell a few feet and completely missed its target. Then he was suddenly stopped in mid-air, and realized the telekinetic Toa from before must be nearby. As if to make matters worse Skaarn saw a blast of electricty also begin to approach. But then, it seemed these Toa were forgetting that Skaarn fought with the strength of the Nui Rama.More than a dozen of the giant insects flew to intercept the blast of electricity mixed with insect and were instantly shocked to death, their arms, legs and bodies squirming as the electricity set of hundreds of nerves and while they fell to the ground, several of which even exploded With that out of the way, Skaarn had to figure out how to deal with the force field, and had only precious seconds to do so. An idea came to him, and he called the Nui-Rama to approach. It was a good thing they were under the will of Makuta, or they likely would not have understood a fellow servant's orders. If Skaarn was held in place by a force field, well then, he would have the force field moved. Dozens of Nui-Rama began pushing against the field, and, slowly but surely, he began to move through the air."Towards the hole" he yelled at the Nui-Rama. "We must remove the invaders from the Hive!"
  13. IC:Skaarn approached the hive and noticed the invaders were trying to tunnel through. He figured that if their tunnel was deep enough, and with those explosives they had been using earlier, the invaders could very well blow up the entire hive. And Skaarn just couldnt have that. He directed a number of Nui Rama to go and stop the invaders, and also flew upon one as well towards the action.
  14. IC:After a few minutes a whole appeared in the icy wall, a whole which quickly grew. Skaarn saw now that his rescuers were Nui Rama, who, like him, were servants of Makuta. Skaarn sighed. He was the son of Makuta, and yet here he was being aided by mindless insects.Oh, how unjust the world is, he thought. But no matter. Soon Makuta would reign undisputed over all of Mata-Nui, and Skaarn would become the viceroy, exalted above all others. Yes, soon no Toa or Skakdi would dare fight Skaarn. But first there was the matter of the Hive. Makuta obviously wanted it kept standing, at least for the time being - why else would he have sent the Toa of Shadow and the Rakhshi there. Which meant that Skaarn would have to fight to protect it.The walls of the improptu prison quickly crumbled, and Skaarn grabbed hold of his rescuer's claws, that is, the Nui Rama's. He pulled himself atop it's abdomen and directed the insect towards the Hive. There he would regroup and meet any invaders with the hordes of Nui Rama. Skaarn fought for Makuta. Skaarn fought for greatness.
  15. IC:Trapped in his prison of ice and plants, Skaarn thought and waited. As far as he could tell there was no way of breaking free from within, since he was armed only with his claws and Rhotuka spinner. And it's not like make the walls heavier would be any help. He wondered if perhaps Lantz might know a way out of their predicament, but he would never ask that foolish Toa.I do you know. Know a way outQuiet. I never asked you. Then stay trapped. Skaarn heard Lantz laugh mentally, and shook his head trying to rid himself of that annoying conciousness. Skaarn would find his own way out, and spite Lantz in the process. Suddenly he heard a scratching noise. Skaarn tried to peer through the ice and plants, but couldn't make out any more than large, shadowy figures on the other side. Oh well, he thought. Doesn't really matter who's gonna help me out, as long as they do the job.
  16. IC:"NOOOO"Skaarn yelled. "Don't leave me alone and trapped! You don't understand, the Nui Rama can tell when my Rahi instincts are in control and when they are not! If you leave me here they will attack! If you leave me here, you're giving me the death sentance. And Toa don't kill!" As if to prove his point the buzzing of the Nui Rama suddenly grew louder. "Please, tie my hands if you want, just bring me with you!"ooc: some rahkshi would be nice....
  17. IC:"Truly, you Toa, who stand for nobility and goodness, would judge me just because of my past and my appearance? Surely you are above that" Skaarn said to Dendron and Mussiki.
  18. IC:"You must understand" Skaarn began, "I was once a regular Toa, like you all. One day I attempted to find a defeat the evil Makuta. But I was too proud, and Makuta defeated and captured me. Rather than kill me, Makuta mutated me and combined me with a Rahi, stripping me of my Mask powers and allowing me only to manifest my Elemental powers in a Rhotuka disk. He sent me to roam Mata-Nui accepted by no people. If you do not harm me, I am sure I will be able ot keep control and help you destroy the hive. I wish only to exact my revenge on Makuta and end his reign of terror." Skaarn sincerely hoped they would believe him. His head pounded. Even now, Lantz sought to dislodge Skaarn's consciousness. The troublesome scum.
  19. ooc: Actually, he kinda is. At least the Skaarn conciousness is.IC:Skaarn saw that he was both outgunned and outnumbered. He also realized that professing his true alliegance was probably not in his best interest given the present situation. So he did what any Servant of Makuta would do. He lied."Hello, Toa. My name is Skaarn. I mean you no harm. I apologize for my earlier actions. I am a Toa Hordika you see, and my Rahi instincts took over. Now pleas,e put that sword away" he said to Madrihk.
  20. IC:The flat of the axe hit the Hordika squarely on the head. The Hordika stiffened for a moment, then his body went limped. It would have fallen to the ground had not been telekinetically held in place by Volin. Then in tensed again, and head rose up."I've won! Finally, I have returned" Skaarn said victoriously. "Thank you so much that bit of help" he said to Kethrye.
  21. ooc: didnt think it was.IC:The Hordika roared. He could barely move. He slowly began to move his hand, inch by inch towards his back. It took nearly all his effort to do so, and then some. He tried to create a Rhotuka. The disk materialsed, then dissipated. It continued to switch between existant and non-existant as the Hordika used all the mental will available to him. Suddenly his demeanor changed."Yes! I've woooooooNo! Help me! PleasssssQuiet you fool! I'll killllarrrrrggghhhh!!" The Hordika screamed. Inside his head the battle was beginning to turn. The restrictions on his body and his use of mental will were somehow allowed Lantz and Skaarn, the two consciousnesss that wrestled for control, to reveal themselves. They had both been able to exert control, if only for a few moments. It gave the Hordika a headache.
  22. IC:The Hordika snorted as he saw the Nui Rama fall towards him as if guided by an invisible hand. Not knowing where to run, he decided to run towards the contorted ball of Nui Rama. He launched a Rhotuka at them, decreasing their weight and thus hopefully reducing the amount of harm they would do to the Hordika. Then the Hordika jumped towards the edge of the ball. He grabbed hold of one of the Nui-Rama's claws, moved his legs up and jumped perpendicular to the creatures. He landed on the ground on all fours and looked at the invaders carefully. This was beginning to become dangerous.
  23. IC:The Hordika heard Kethrye speak behind him and turned around to engage the Toa. He pushed the length of the axe to the side, blocking the attack, then kicked the Toa in the stomach. The kick was barely strong enough to bruise, but it did succeed it pushing the Toa back several feet, and hopefully give Nui Rama time to come to the Hordika's aid.
  24. ooc: Note taken. sorry about that.IC:As the Hordika charged he was attacked, first by Kahlynn and then Kethrye. One of Kahlynn's heat blasts missed him and another hit Kethrye's ice blast and melted it. The third however did hit the Hordika on the right side of his lower back. He stopped and froze. The Hordika's vision went whitefor a moment in sheer pain, then returned to normal. He howled. How it burned! Now he even angrier than before, and he would make sure the invaders would pay. He turned his head towards Kethrye and hissed. Then he turned his attention back to Dendron and launched another Rhotuka at the Toa of Plant Life. It wouldn't be very strong, but it would definitely make defeating him much easier.Just then a Nui-Rama flew by to help the Hordika with the fight. The Hordika grinned as he watched the ally approach. Suddenly a sonic blast hit the Nui Rama and sent it crashing into a tree. The Hordika looked around, and began to realize he was slowly being outnumbered. He called out and hoped the multitude of Nui Rama would come to his aid.
  25. IC:The Hordika screamed as he watched Lema run away from him, far faster than his Rhotuka could take him. He slowly floated back to the ground, and once he landed the Rhotuka disappeared from sight. The Hordika looked around, listening for where the battle was loudest. It was too hard to tell. It seemed as if there were explosions everywhere, preventing the Hordika from hearing anything other than the loud booms and the incessant buzzing of the Nui Rama. He started to run. The fight with Lema had driven him from the heart of the battle, but no matter. The Hordika would run, and whichever invader he found, he would fight. And he would destroy. The Hordika quickly came upon a strange sight. He had never seen it before. There was a toa surrounded by nearly half a dozen Nui-Rama, all lying on the floor, motionless. But it seemed as if the very forest itself had brought down the insects, those that the Hordika considered friends. He cocked his head to get a better angle. He had never seen a plant hurt an animal before. Then the toa in the center began to move again, drawing the Hordika's attention away. No matter. He would still kill the toa. He began charging another Rhotuka, one that would increase the gravity on the Toa and would bring him to his knees. The Hordika smiled at the pleasant thought. He launched the Rhotuka at Dendron and ran at him as well, screaming just because if felt so natural.Look at him. He's about to fight a Toa of Plant Life in the middle of the bloody forest. We have to stop him before he gets us killed! Not if it means becoming a prisoner to you again.ooc: Kal Grochi?
