  1. IC:Shadow-Lantz walked with Rhow to The Dripper. Although his true name was Skaarn, he found it somewhat useful to occasionaly refer to himself as Shadow-Lantz - it helped differentiate himself from that fool, Lantz.Shadow-Lantz was careful to open the door for Rhow, although she made no comment. After they entered Shadow-Lantz pulled out a chair and motioned for Rhow to sit down on it.
  2. IC:With the two Toa gone Lantz tried to slide back into control of his body. But he could not. There was some barrier, and try as hard as he might, Lantz could not overcome it.What do you think you are doing, Makuta? he questioned. This was not our arrangement. You said I would not be some mindless lackey of yours.Suddenly Lantz felt immense pain, as if run through with spear.I told you not to use the name of our Master!Lantz' mind froze. "Our Master?" Makuta had never referred to himself in the third person.Ah yes, now it begins to dawn on you. Shadow Lantz sneered at Lantz, finding him despicable and inferior. Makuta would never have shared a body with you. You are an insect to him.If you aren't Makuta, then who are you?I AM Skaarn! I am the son of Makuta, brother of the Rahkshi! Mountains shake when I walk and storms gather in my wake! You are a gnat before me, a grain of sand. I was forced to serve you in the recess' of your mind, but no more! Now I am the master, and you are the shackled prisoner.Lantz was afraid.Shadow-Lantz, or rather Skaarn, opened his eyes and saw Rhow standing above him. A truly magnificent race, those Skakdi. Shadow Lantz slowly got up."Thank you Rhow for helping me in that battle. Would you care to finally get that drink?" he asked. He decided he would continue to pretend to be Lantz.Watch Toa, as I live the life you were never strong enough to live yourself.Trapped in his own mind, Lantz did exactly that. He watched.
  3. IC:"Look at yourselves" Shadow-Lantz begun. He was starting to get slightly annoyed with these two Toa. They were soooo stubborn. But not matter. They would realize the truth in due time."You, the supposed upholders of justice. You attack a being, without provocation I might add, that was unfortunate enough to have been corrupted by Makuta and now seeks the light by working for the Turaga. You accuse said being of evil acts, although you have no real idea what these acts may have been nor do you have any witness'. And now you refuse to even show mercy. I may be a Hordika, but it would seem you two are far more beastly than myself."In his head, Lantz listened as The Shadow, or Makuta, used and manipulated his body without care. He had to admit, The Shadow was quite a convincing speaker.
  4. IC:"No" screamed Shadow-Lantz. "Do not harm Rhow, Toa. And Rhow, do not listen to the monster. Lantz looked on with wonder from within his own head. He did not understand why Makuta cared so much about Rhow. She was a Skakdi after all. Now, no longer in control of his body, Lantz wondered why he spoken to her. He reasoned that when he was in control, Makuta's darkness had some sort of effect on his thoughts. Not the most pleasant of concepts, but not the worst. No, when dealing with a master such as Makuta, there were many worse options."Toa, remember that it was you that attacked me. I'm not sure why, but even the most corrupt Toa can understand the idea of redemption. Was Toa Lewa not affected by Makuta? And was he not able to combat the Infection? Yes, my body has been tainted, but my soul is pure and I now work for the Turaga. You must believe me" Shadow-Lantz said.
  5. IC:"I am sorry, but I'm afraid I cannot accept" Shadow-Lantz said. He saw Zealokan tense up, as if ready tp fight, so he raised he hand as a sign of peace."You do not understand. I would love to accept, first I would have you understand my situation. It is true that Makuta is in me.... he transformed me into my present state, and will thus be apart of me unless I am cured. But I have begun to fight the Shadow, with the help of the Turaga. And it is on their behalf that I posted the bounty which you have seen. Lantz watched helplessly in his own as the Shadow moved his mouth with impunity. He could not believe Makuta had such power. It was.... unfathomable.
  6. IC:Lantz saw the blasts of electricity Payiges was using to attack him. That was not good. With one hand he began to spin a second Rhotuka, careful to keep his distance from Zeakolan. As the blasts started approaching ,Lantz used his superior Hordika reflexes and agility to dodge them. At first he did quite well, sidestepping, jumping over and ducking from the blasts of electricity. He started to grow confident. He replied to Zealokan "Are you so corrupt then that you cannot see that I fight the Infection? I was telling the truth that I work for te Turaga. But it seems you are blinded by your hat-" Lantz was stopped before he could finish his sentance.A bolt had his ankle. The surge of electricity spread through his body. Every muscle spasmed, if only for a moment. Lights flashed across his eyes. He thought he heard name called... maybe Rhow had spoken it? That would have been nice. He couldn't tell where he was. Everything was....black. He couldn't move. He tried to scream, but his mouth refused to utter a sound.Look at what you've done now. You can't even defeat a mere Toa duo. And in front of a girl no less.Makuta, help me!Do not use that name! Only the true Shadows may use it.Please then, help.Very well.Lantz felt a foreign conciousness take over his body. Suddenly he a stranger in his own body, and looked on as his body was used like a puppet by another.Shadow-Lantz got up slowly. Payiges standing near Zealokan, seemingly ready to fire more bolts of electricty at Shadow-Lantz. Shadow Lantz lifted up his arms weakly in defeat. "Please" Shadow-Lantz said. Lantz knew that to the others, there was no audible difference from when he was in control of his own body."There has been a misunderstanding. Show mercy, if only for a few moments. Surely you, great Toa, can do that?"
  7. IC:Lantz saw the blast of electricity hurtling towards him and grinned. He released the Rhotuka he had been spinning and fired to intercept the electricity. When the it touched the blast it absorbed the electricity, which now danced around the Rhotuka's wheel. Lantz could the crackling of the electrictity as it moved around and around the Rhotuka. Using his thoughts his guided the electrified Rhotuka and had it circle Payiges and Zealokan. With the floating Rhotuka as a threat against further violence, he began to speak."Why do you attack me? I have done nothing but the will of the Turaga?"Yes. Begin to sow the seeds of doubt. Let them wonder.
  8. IC: As Lantz and Rhow walked, rather pleasantly it seemed to Lantz, towards The Dripper two Toa raced towards them and attacked. Lantz knew the lightning bolts and scimitars were heading their way several instants before he saw them- he was thus able to use his great strength to move Rhow and himself out of harms way. He roared a bestial, Rahi-like roar. It reverberated in the area.He started spinning his rhotuka. "What do you two want?" he yelled at his attackers. He recognized them. They had been entering The Dripper just as he was leaving.ooc:Just one question. How do your Toa even know what Hordika are, never mind the fact that Hordika are bad?
  9. ooc: noted, VF.IC: "Food? Food is good" Lantz agreed. "You may not know this, but there is a rather excellent pub nearby by the name of The Dripper. It may not be suitable to one such as yourself, but money is tight nowadays, and it's the best I can afford." He extended an arm towards her. "Would you care to join me for a bitoeat?" The last came out a bit gnarled, most likely to his uncomfortable new Hordika jaw. He had tried to say 'bite to eat.' As if to make up for this mistake Lantz smiled widely, but his Rahi-like teeth tinged it with a hint of menace.Fool. You can't even live in your own body.Quiet Lantz said to Makuta.
  10. IC:"Rhow" said the being, using Lantz's mouth. An alarm rang in Lantz's head. Makuta had specifically said he would not turn Lantz into some sort of zombie, and yet here he was, taking control of Lantz's body. Then again, Makuta wasn't really doing anything bad, was he? No, he was just helping his faithful servant, Lantz reasoned to himself. Yes, that must be it."What a beautiful name you have, Lady Rhow. Yes, what a beautiful name. What brings you to this part of Ga-Koro?" Lantz said the last bit himself. It seemed Makuta intended to share Lantz's body, somewhat.
  11. IC:"Just a humble servant to the powers that be" replied Lantz in his most sincere voice. He didn't want to reveal all his cards at once. "I realize I am perhaps not the most....handsome fellow in the city, but a fellow nevertheless. He gave a low bow. "My name is Lantz, and what might your's be, my beautiful lady?"In his mind, Lantz was taken aback. He would never call a Skakdi a lady.... what was wrong with him?
  12. IC:Lantz wandered around Ga-Wahi when he saw a rather strange sight: A Skakdi walking in the open. Now, that was rather unusual. No more unusual then himself, what with being a Hordika and all. Go and talk to him. Spread the word.Wanting nothing more than to serve his master, and his curiosity, Lantz approached the Skakdi."Who might you be?" he asked Rhow.
  13. IC:Lantz got up and walked away from the table towards the exit of the pub. He paused a few moments at the threshhold, as if to think, then said "When you want to claim your part of the deal, leave a dagger on the Suva at Kini-Nui." He figured that considering Kini-Nui's importance in his life, it was a fitting place to conduct his business. Then Lantz walked out the door.
  14. IC:Lantz looked at Kirhika. She seemed innocent enough. "So, do we havea deal or not?" he asked fora second time.ooc: Zedd?
  15. Yeah, the hordika would be my character Lantz. He become one after making a deal with Makuta, who changed him with the help of a visorak. As for infected, I think the character belongs to Zedd of zpower or something.
  16. IC:Lantz stuck out his hand to Kirhika. "So it's agreed then?" he asked. "Quid pro quo?"
  17. IC:Lantz watched as Kirhika walked over to him. He immeadietly sensed something was not right. The way she moved, her appearance. No, her being here was not good."What do you want?" he asked in a controlled voice. Her presence could jeopordize the entire mission. Of course, if she was who he thought she was.He listened as she explained. It turns out he had been right."Perhaps we work out some sort of agreement" he said. Perhaps things hadn't worked so bad after all.Not bad at all, young Hordika...ooc: ill pm you the proposal
  18. Maybe, but nobody has of yet contacted Matau, so it's impossible for anyone to know for sure. Have the marines even asked Nokama about the posters? And just because you've checked that Lantz hasnt been in Le-Wahi does not mean that the marines are aware of this. Also, how exaclty do you know how the turaga would react in different scenarios? Cause I would sure love to know that as well.
  19. I wouldn't say the bounty has been proven false, since no one has been convicted yet and Matau hasnt been contacted on the matter. The marines apparently just think its false. Its impossible for them to say for sure.
  20. IC:Lantz watched as the Marines left The Dripper. He sighed in relief. He slowly made his way back to the inn, wary of any suspicious spies they may have planted. He took the same seat as he had taken before, handing the barman a few extra widgets for the commotion he had caused earlier. And again, he waited.
  21. IC:Lantz was looking out of the window at the dripper when he saw the group of Marines approaching the pub.Get out!!! Lantz winced at the sound of Makuta screaming in his head. But he was ever the faithful servant. He quickly got up from his table and headed to the counter. He jumped over it, to the barman's protest, entered the kitchen and exited the building through the back entrance. He ran a bit and then stopped once he was a good distance away. He saw the Marines begin to enter The Dripper. Lantz would keep his current position for the time being, preffering to wait and see what the Marines would do. And just in case, he began to charge his Rhotuka.....ooc: You won't get me without a fight. And how exaclty did you know it wasnt Matau sponsoring the flyers?
  22. IC:Lantz' eyes focused on Dorian."You think the turaga are perfect? You think they are above reproach? They are not" Lantz said. "They are just like us. They have the same hopes, fears and desires as us. It is people like you, that follow them blindly, that give them a bad image. Trust me when I say that they would much rather have followers that actually question their orders, so that the followers can understand the wisdom behind them, then workers as dull as nails. But hey, their widgets are as good as anyone elses. It is part of the reason I work for them, and why you are taking this job. The money will be ready for you once you have returned with the target. Now go and do the will of the Turaga."
  23. IC:"Fool you?" Lantz asked. "What do you mean? I have told you nothing but the truth" he told Dorian.
  24. IC:"Dorian" Lantz repeated, as if thinking about the name. "Good name. Nice, solid name. Anyways, on to business."Lantz pointed to the Wanted poster Dorian had placed on the table."As you can see, my employer is Turaga Matau. He, along with the other Turaga have found Knidia to be... disobient. She routinely dishonours and insults their positions and their work. It is for this reason they, although mainly Matau, demand she be captured and imprisoned-"And tortured."And tortured" Lantz continued, adding Makuta's demand. "You will receive your payment upon her transfer to my custody. But be warned. She will try to convince you she is innocent. You cannot believe her. She has gone against the Turaga. As for her last known location, she was seen recently here in Ga Wahi. The turaga, my employers, would like to express their gratitude for your interest in this matter."
  25. IC:Lantz' eyes lit up. His first customer. He got up and shook and Dorian's hand. He motioned for the Toa of Ice to sit opposite him, which he did. Lantz sat down."It would seem I am at a disadvantage. What is your name?" Lantz asked the Ko Toa.
