  1. IC: Blue-Phantom On The Water Blue stared after the two leaving Rahks, sighing as she felt a heavy weight on her. Metaphorically speaking of course. This was wrong, she knew that, but what could she do? She trudged out of the warehouse and put her head down, trying to ignore the sounds of death around her. Every step she took made her feel heavier and heavier. As she exited the town, she could take it no longer, and felt her legs give out from under her, falling slowly to the ground. She sighed and tucked her knees up to her chest, sitting quietly as she looked around. Dead Matoran, fires, death, Rahkshi everywhere... Two others, in particular, stading quietly close by, taking in the same scene. She nodded briefly to them before pulling the magnetic disks out and turning them in her fingers, tring to distract herself from the carnage... OOC: Burst and Gaever, if either are interested.
  2. IC: Kovinth-Beach Kovinth flailed wildly, trying to get the cloak off of himself before he felt it being ripped away by something else entirely. He barely caught a glimpse of the water before it swallowed him up, and he kicked frantically to get to the surface. He'd crashed. He knew he would, why did he even try? For Vlad? For... Friendship? Not now, no time to think now, survive! Kovinth broke the surface and looked around, grateful to see the beach nearby, and Drift as well. He focused on the shore and, in the blink of an eye, was kneeling on the beach, coughing up water. He turned to Drift, about to ask where Vlad and the other Rahk were, when his eyes caught them in the dim light, bobbing in the surf just out of reach. Kovinth sprang into action again, wading out to where Drift was and unsheathing his sword. He winced as he anticipated the pain, and flipped the sword around, grabbing tightly onto the blade and reaching the handle out to the conscious Rahk. "Grab on!" He cried. "We'll pull you in!" IC: Blue-Phantom On The Water Blue kicked open to door to what seemed to be a warehouse, seething inside and clutching her staff tightly. She was unable to save any of these Matoran, not in any way that would keep her from being suspected, and everyone else was just slaughtering everyone! She kicked a box sharply, cursing under her breath as he foot went through it and several small metal discs fell out, she reached down and grabbed them, intending to throw them away until they all stuck to each other with loud clicking and clacking sounds. Growling, she gave up, sitting on the crate and tossing her staff aside, trying to keep from crying. She couldn't do it, couldn't save the innocents or convince anyone they were wrong. She jumped up however, when she heard shifting nearby, and she grabbed her staff to check on it. To her surprise she found a battered and beaten Rahk, nearly unconscious on the floor. She gasped and knelt down, shaking the Rahk gently "Hey, hey are you okay? What happened?" OOC: Interacting with Beat. Wyrd, Blue has picked up 4 specialized magnets, powerfully attracted to only near-identical magnets.
  3. If Kovinth were any good at flying, he might have been able to do just that, Uni. Unfortunately, he is in fact, very bad at this.
  4. IC: Kovinth- Kovinth tried to keep his breathing steady, reminding himself that he was flying, not flling snd crashing. If he had a heart, it would be racing right now. Ahead he could see another Rahk, grabbing Vlad...? Great, Kovinth could just-- At the moment Kovinth nearly flew back up, a thick cloth object slammed into him, wrapping around his head and disorienting him. The blue and purple Rahk fell out out of flight mode, grabbing wildly at the thing as he plummeted, straight towrds Vlad and the other Rahk... IC: Blue-Phanton-On-The-Water Blue landed gracefully in the middle of the village, taking in the destruction around her. There was sort of a primal thrill to it, she had to admit... But rational heads must prevail. Gripping her staff tighter, she looked around for places that may have been untouched yet. She headed for a small hut a bit away from the square, hoping to find still living Matoran she might be able to help...
  5. Kovinth is bad at this, and may have just committed suicide along with Vlad. Depending on how this plays out, that didn't take long for me.
  6. IC: Kovinth-Causeway Kovinth had frozen at the Makuta's orders, appaled by both the assignment and the eagerness among the students. Vlad had run off then, and Kovinth started to follow before catching the order from the lighter Rahk to save himself... Kovinth paused, struggling with himself. This was wrong, he should be doing all he could to stop this. But someone actually seemed to care enough to tell him and Drift to save themselves... No, no this needed to be done. Kovinth sprinted across the Causeway, determined to help Vlad's cause. He shouted at the Rahks yet to take off; "This is insane! We are being used! The Matoran are no threat to us, they have helped us! This is wrong, please no!" Turning towards the pillar where Vlad was perched, Kovinth's eyes widened as he saw his friend tumble and begin to fall. "NO!" Kovinth cried, rushing to the edge of the cliff face. He watched as Vlad fell, a dozen thoughts fighting in his brain. I could do it, just jump down and start flyi-- NO, I can't fly, I'm crazy, I'll crash; but she said she fixed that, and the test flights went well but it's still flying and I can't I can't I can't--I CAN'T LET HIM DIE! The voiced in his head screamed as Kovinth gulped and threw himself off the edge, transforming into flight mode and hoping he wasn't already too late as his rational mind tried to beat back the fear... IC: Blue-Causeway Blue nodded to the Rahk she'd fought in the gym, before turning and listening to the Makuta. A chill ran down her spine, rattling the wobbly one as she heard the orders. That... Didn't seem right. She had no love for Matoran, of course, but something felt wrong about this. As the students around her lifted off, she noticed stragglers, runners, even protestors... So others felt the same way. An injustice was occuring, and that made Blue's blood boil. She gripped her staff tighter and took to the skies, determined to be a wrench in the monkey works during this assignment. No innocents would fall to her boomerangs today.
  7. IC: Kovinth-Causeway Kovinth paused, looking concerned at this new development, and the eagerness of all the other students to participate. He considered briefly joining the left side, if only to avoid shaking the boat, when he heard Vlad muttering 'no' nearby, before turning to walk away with... Drift? Kovinth thought that was the Rahk's name. He glanced around furtively and looked back the way he'd come, good thing he was still close to the door. With little more than a 'pop', he was inside the doorway, just ahead of Vlad and Drift. "Hello again, you two." He said quietly, digging in his pack for his notebook. "Seems you've inspired be not to be a pawn in this Makuta's scheme, and for that I thank you." IC: Blue-Causeway. The silver Rahk snorted, rolling her eyes at this pompous posing and preening. Just a show to prove that the Makuta were powerful, but everyone knew that already. Nevertheless, whatever this was... Could be fun. She grinned and headed over to the right side, snapping her boomerangs back onto her staff as she went.
  8. IC: Kovinth-Refactory Kovinth paused as his question essentially went unanswered. He knew where to possible find Gukko in general, but the specifics of the Gukko in question and why these students were looking for it could have an impact. Then the word came through of... Something happening on the Causeway. Kovinth sighed and put his notebook away, folling the Light Rahkshi. "Well, I suppose we can find this Gukko later, correct?" He asked, making himself known again. "After all, we musn't miss our 'grand leaders' speeches and decrees..." He said, a hint of sarcasm leaking into his voice. IC: Blue-Gym Blue narrowed her eyes as she saw her boomerang diverted, strafing Ipartsa as she tried to get her weapon back. Just as she put her hand on the boomerang however, the doors to the gym burst open, revealing a slighty panicked looking, very fat Rahk. With a message about the Makuta... Blue paused, looking at her sparring partner. "Um... We should... Probably go check that out, right?"
  9. IC: Blue-Gym Blue nodded slowly, looking between the two as she toed the staff on the floor. "Chain lightning, eh? This should make for an interesting fight..." She said before suddenly kicking the staff into the air, catching it on her boomerangs, and lobbing it towards Numelf. she stepped back farther into the gym, flicking the boomerangs open and smiling as she heard the satisfying click of her weapons locking into place. "Never fought a sister before, guess it's time I tried it out!" She said wiyj a grin, throwing one her boomerangs at Ipartsa experimentally.
  10. IC: Kovinth-Refactory The blue and purple Rahk flipped his notebook to the right page out of reflex, though he barely needed a glance at it since this page was one of the first filled out. He nodded to the confused looking Rahk, who he recognized from the memorial, before turning back to the light Rahkshi. "I apologize for startling you, I was unsure if I could intercept by simply walking. I'm Kovinth, and your friend here is at least partially right. Some species of Kewa and Kahu Have adapted for desert life, but most of the flighted Rahi, Gukko included are tree-dwelling. They may have adapted for life among the towers, spires, the tallest places of the school; or possibly caves and depressions in the cliff face. However, the most likely place I would think for a Gukko to hide itself in the area, would be among the forests on the mainland. I saw them as I was arriving at the school, the forests seem to be almost ideal habitat. Though, the most efficient method of searching would be to start here at the school and spiral outwards." Kovinth paused, realizing he had no idea the context of this situation. "Uh, of course, there are other possibilities, mostly based on the individual Rahi. Why are you searching for this Gukko, if I might ask?" IC: Blue-Gym Blue whirled around at the sound of voices behind her, twisting the ends of her staff and unfolding the boomerangs, striking a ready stance as the long stick clattered on the floor. She paused briefly before clearing her throat and standing up straight. "Sorry, I'm not used to, uh... Well, us really. My Father rarely made Rahks, much less ones like us." She glanced down and sighed at her discarded staff, kicking the lonely looking stick weakly. "Dumb thing... Sorry you two, I'm Blue. Just arrived, so all this is pretty new to me. My Fath-- My Makuta, rather, sent me here to get me out from underfoot. His brightest and most... Finished creation." She said bitterly, glancing from the staff to the wobbly spine on her back. "And you two are...?"
  11. IC: Kovinth-Refactory Kovinth sat quietly in the cafeteria, staring at the bowl of slop before him. He had heard rumors, whisperings of some kind of rebellion, had even seen Vitesse, the onl Rahk he could come close to calling a friend, being taken to Tridax's office. he glanced away from his bowl, down to the notebook hidden in his lap, where his last entry lay unfinished. "Something is going on at this school. Rumors of rebellion against the Makuta. I harbor no ill will towards most Makuta, my Mother is kind enough. But many of the practices I have seen sicken me. Torture, fear, violence... We are not their pawns, are we? We stopped being that when we began to think. I do not want to fight for Makuta. I want to live for Me. He didn't know where to go from there. Rebellion seemed so extreme, but could a Rahk be free to pursue himself without it? Sighing, he tore the page out of his notebook, stuffing it into a small pocket in his satchel. No good getting caught with that... He looked up, trying to clear his mind, when he heard something, something about a Gukko? He had something for this, hang on... He flipped to an old notebook page and stood up abruptly, channeling his power and teleporting near the Rahk who had been speaking with the strange accent. His coloring gave Kovinth pause, but only for a moment. "Excuse me? Sorry to interrupt, but... You're looking for a Gukko? I might be of some assistance, I've studied them in the past." OOC: Vlad & Co. IC: Blue-Gym Blue, the silver Rahkshi walked the halls of the school slowly, watching with narrowed eyes every little detail. She didn't want to be here, her father made her come. But she may as well learn things here... Following the signs, she found herself at the school gym, shoving the door open and coming faceplate to faceplate with several fights, chaos in its most organized form. Many fights, but all contained, the room responding to all. Her grip on her staff tightened and she grinned, skirting the wall for now... OOC: Blue open for interaction.
  12. So apparently working a lot of extra hours in the middle of moving and not having stable internet makes for a recipe of not-being-able-to-RP, who knew? o.O Anyway, can I ask for a quick recap of what's happening now?
  13. Sounds like a stupid question, but whats a breakdown staff? Just a staff she can snap in half to use as the boomerangs? Or did you just mean the way the Rahkshi can apparently make the hafts of their staffs vanish leaving just the blades at the end? Sort of a combination of the two? She removes the ends yes, but the 'staff' bit doesn't vanish. She either drops it or stores it, retrieving it later.
  14. IC explanation is he felt he had better things to do or just forgot about the spine. OOC, she's based on a MOC I have and could never get the spine to sit right. As for the staff, I'm sure there's an actual term for it but I have no idea what it is, so I called it breakdown. Basically she can pull the ends off and store the staff bit, using the ends as boomerangs.
  15. Whoops. Totally a thing I meant to check and then blanked on, thanks for reminding me guys. Name changed to Blue. Any other critique for me on her?
  16. Name: Blue Variation: Chain Lightning Level: 2 Gender: Female Gear: A breakdown staff, the ends of which double as boomerangs when removed and unfolded. Appearance: Nearly identical to a standard Rahkshi shell, apart from every armor plate, skeleton part, and joint being made from a silver protodermis. Her three spines are straight and sharp, like sword blades, though the middle spine seems to be loose, wobbling from side to side. Her eyes as well, instead of the standard red, glow a bright blue, where she derives her name from. Personality: Silver makes a great attempt to fit in with other Rahks. She tries to be friendly, strong enough to hold her own, and tough enough to take abuse. She has a very strong moral compass, and her version of justice is what she strives for in everything. Bio: Pulled from the Kraata pits early, Silver found her Makuta father to be a bit absentminded, at best. Though he recognized her intelligence and potential, he very rarely accomidated her. The suit he had provided was all made of the same material, though bright and shining it provided little variety. He built her staff and spines, though never fixed the broken middle spine for her, and the staff is flimsy at best. She has made do, however, by mainly using the staff ends as her weapons. While she appreciated being recognized, she eventually grew resentful of her absent 'father' as she thinks of him. She began to act out, taking what she felt she needed when he forgot about her requests for it, and even sabatoging projects she felt took too much of his time. Eventually he grew tired of this, and sent her off to the school Tridax had founded.
  17. IC: Kovinth-Causeway The blue and pruple Rahk was stopped short by Vitesse's hand on his shoulder, and probably for good reason. The situation seemed to calm down, though a rage still burned inside Kovinth. "I... Thank you, Vitesse, for stopping me. I was about to be very foolish, I think." He said, holding back the slew of words that he felt about the situation. He dropped his voice and glanced around, making sure nobody he didn't know was close enough to hear. "I'm beginning to regret my Makuta sending me here... If this is the kind of treatment we can expect not just of us, but of others as well..."
  18. IC: Kovinth-Causeway Something inside the Rahk snapped at the sight of the Matoran dangling above the precipice. He was an innocent, didn't deserve to die. And nobody deserved to die like that. "This is wrong." He whispered, shaking his head and not really caring if Vitesse or the other two Rahks could hear him. "Can't let this happen." He said before pushing his way through the crown, keeping his head down and trying to get near the front of the crowd. If he could just get there before the Matoran was dropped or someone spotted him, he should be close enough...
  19. Alrighty, I'd like to have Kovinth try and do something in this situation, but before I do that I want to stamp down exactly what level 2 teleportation does so I'm not stepping on anyone's toes. I know it's short bursts at short range, but as far as specifics go, does anyone have any objections to five teleports in a short time at about a ten foot range?
  20. IC: Kovinth-Causeway Kovinth began to lower his head, but it shot up again at the crash and the loud, rhyming voice. He grabbed his pen and flipped to a new page in his journal, writing furiously. This place is not as it seems. There is dissention among the Rahks, and it seems to be growing. Sides must be chosen before long, but who's to say who is right? Kovinth paused and shoved the journal back into it's place, looking up and glancing around. Rahks were moving, some taking off, but most stayed still. Those moving seemed to be looking for something... He stepped back just a bit, and leaned closer to Vitesse. "Do you know what's going on?" He whispered, motioning towards the moving students.
  21. IC: Kovinth-Causeway The thin Rahk fell silent for a moment, crossing his arms. "My Makuta would never have stood for that." He said eventually. "Death can provide no more answers, it is the end of knowledge. And knowledge is her goal. What point is there to send us out and have us kill or be killed? What war are we fighting and for what? Why are we, the new breed, consigned to fight and die, why can we not simply... Live?"
  22. IC: Kovinth-Causeway Kovinth stared up at the Makuta for a moment before the sleepy Rahk and Vitesse's comment brought him back to the moment. "Yes, they don't seem to like being ignored... As for what you said before, Vitesse... I don't know them either, but should any of us die? Our predecesors may have been mindless beasts until a certain time, but us... Are we not better than them? Perhaps not as powerful or intelligent as the Makuta, but it seems many of our new breed are still being used as pawns... We shouldn't be treated as such, not when so many of us crave life and have the ability to fear death." He said quietly, seemingly unaware to the danger that may be lurking.
  23. IC: Kovinth-Causeway "Ah," Kovinth said, taken aback by the question a bit, he hadn't realized anyone had seen him. "Well, I keep a... I suppose you could call it a journal. Our breed is still quite new, and I think that even we don't know everything there is to know about us. So, I take notes as aspects about my own personality come to me, in order to hopefully better understand myself later. I think we can benefit greatly from knowing more about ourselves than we currently do." He shrugged and pulled out his journal again, in case Vitesse wanted to look at it. "This entry was on the subject of death, mostly. I'm still mostly unfamiliar with it, and this sort of... Memorial that goes along with it."
  24. IC: Kovinth-Causeway As the thin Rahkshi put away his journal and looked up, he found himself face-to-face, in a manner of speaking, with a scarred and tattooed Rahkshi. Kovinth cocked his head slightly at the fellow students approach, (At least he assued it was a student) and nodded, sticking his hand out in front of him. "Ah, hello there." He said in a carefully practiced language of the Rahkshi, "Can I help you? My name is Kovinth, I'm fairly new here. May I ask your name?" He said, trying to sound friendly but not relizing that it was more likely he was coming off as, at best, stiff and formal.
  25. IC: Kovinth-Causeway Kovinth stood among the gathered students, irked at being taken away from the library, but finding himself supremely interested in the crowd. He had arrived not long ago at the school and had yet to meet anyone, but perhaps this would prove an oppourtunity. Kovinth stared intently at the monuments, wondering as to their purpose before Tridax appeared and began to speak. A hush fell over the crowd and Kovinth tilted his head, wondering if he should have known these fallen. A spark of thought flew to mind however, as the Makuta finished speaking and the Rahksi fumbled for his pack, pulling out his journal and a pencil. Called to a meeting, apparently some students met an untimely demise. I've touched on this briefly in my writings of my defective first armor, but it seems to be hitting harder now. I do not fully understand Death, but the concept of not existing... Frightens me. This was known. However, seeing this memorial for these students I do not know gives me another thought. I do not want to be alone. If I were to die, I do not want to be forgotten. Further research is required, subcategories assinged to 'friendship' 'death' 'memory'. Kovinth looked over his entry, nodding slowly before he closed the journal. It helped him to write down his thoughts before they escaped from him, and highlighting the key words helped him categorize it better. He slipped the book back into its spot and closed the flap on the pack, straightening up and looking around at the crowd. OOC: Open for interaction.
