    Is it just me, or have there been a lot more high quality MoCs (Especially of castles and scenes) on Brickshelf? I've been favoriting a lot of them, here are some from the past few weeks:

    Nostalgia

    Ahhh... Wish I'd gotten more from those old themes, like Rock Raiders, Alpha Team, Insectoids, etc. So what I'm going to do every now and again is post pictures of the sets I got from an old theme, along with the one set that I wish I'd gotten (I apologize to CzaR if this is too similar to what you're doing).
     
    So first up: Insectoids
     
    I believe the only set I got from this was the Beta Buzzer:
     

     
    I think I got two, though, so that made up for all the rest that I missed.

    So many of these sets came with so many good parts that I'm going to have to put two; the Planetary Prowler...

    Yep. Worked on it for quite a while today. I bumped the cost of needed plant life down to about $30, instead of $50. So I'm happy.

    So I need a decision. I've got $120 free, and I'm thinking I'll either get the Republic Gunship, or two Star Destroyers, because they'll be only $60 for "Black Friday." On the one hand, I really need Cody for my movie I'm working on, and on the other, the parts from both SDs would be amazing. And the minifigs.

    I hate it. For one, it's too stubby. Two, it's too tall. Three, the thrusters are too heavy to stay up. Four, the front is too flat. Five, the color distribution is MEH.

    Where To Spend It...?

    So I'm sure some of you know of the movie I'm making: Infiltration Point. If you don't, it's basically a stop-motion film about Delta Squad that I've had in my mind to do for some time now, and just haven't had the money for it. Now I do. I hope.
     
    You see, I've been gathering resources when I can, like the AT-TE and HSD (Homing Spider Droid), both of which contain minifigs that I need. Now here's my problem: I still need Cody, and he only comes with the Republic Gunship, which is $120. I have $170, $60 of which I need for baseplates and the rest for various parts and wall pieces (Trust me; I'll need ALL of it). I could buy Cody seperately for $20, but that just seems like a waste to me, as I could use the other stuff fropm the RGS. Then I'd have to wait and save up more until I could buy enough wall parts. So that's my question.
     
    If you guys want, I could whip something up in LDD real quick to illustrate what I need the baseplates for.

    Oh yeah. I wish there was a seperate forum for comics. I don't really like them, so everytime I go into General Art to find drawn art and such, it's annoying when I keep stumbling into comic topics. >_>
