  1. What's the plan in the event of a total story reboot? Are we going to try and let the two storylines coexist on one wiki, or are we going to make a BS02? (We're allowed to revive official topics after thirty days, right?)
  2. Very simple, but kinda cute and appealing. I like them!
  3. I actually have to continuously leech other people's proto because mine is being depleted at all times for talking about buttholes on a children's website
  4. Gonna have to dock your proto for that. and then add it onto mine.
  5. no talking about leaked images, farmstink
  6. I blocked you because you don't know anything about anything. you understand me??
  7. LEGO FOCUS GROUP STUDIES HAVE SHOWN that bionicle's most popular character is somebody named "orkahm" !! all over the world, hip young bionicle fans are clamoring for the return of ORKAHM !! will he return in the new 2015 toyline ?? will lego cave into the demands of millions ?? click here to find out
  8. There are a few pieces in the MNOLG where they totally sampled music from other sources, and I've always wanted to know where they got them. Tahu's discovery is one scene with sampled music, and this is another; I've heard part of this as background music in a South Park episode. Anyway, gotta go with this for my favorite:
  9. Well, close enough. It's the only mask with a movie named after it. Plus it's gold.
  10. Wow, that's really interesting. I always thought Makuta's speech was oddly heavy, considering its context in a children's point-and-click game. I just remembered--if you show Nuju's letter to Nokama, and then ask "Who am I?" she'll tell you that "Papu and Rangi have great plans for you." Normally she just says "someone has great plans for you," so it would seem that these names are remnants of an earlier version. I wonder if they were initially planning to attach Polynesian names to the Great Beings.
  11. I figure he didn't actually know that they lived on Mata Nui's face? Someone please tell me if the inhabitants of the island knew that, since as far as I remember only a few inhabitants of the Matoran Universe actually knew that they lived inside a giant robot. They didn't know. Though I have wondered why the Turaga's legends seem to hint at the nature of Mata Nui, given that they aren't supposed to be aware of it. Perhaps the story about Mata Nui "descending from the heavens" was a garbled version of some ancient legend, from a time when it was known that Mata Nui would descend from the heavens onto different planets. Whenua, as an archivist, might have been familiar with the old Amaja Circle style of storytelling, but didn't actually understand all the nuances of what the storytelling tropes meant.
  12. I just null voted. Though Matoro was set up well in advance to be the sacrifice, I agree with CeeCee that Takanuva would have been way more heartbreaking. I've just never cared about Matoro in the same way I care about Takua. Did Takanuva really do anything important in 2008 to justify his presence? He had those alternate universe adventures, but they didn't impact the main story, and I know many people weren't big fans of them. Given how special Takanuva is, I always thought it was weird that he didn't have more to do... And consider: had he been the sacrifice, there could have had a tragic echo of Mask of Light, where Jala cradles Takanuva's body instead of the other way around. On the other hand, maybe Takanuva shouldn't have been involved with multiple legendary masks, as that could feel very redundant. But I can see the arguments for both Matoro and Takanuva.
  13. Nah, no Rahkshi. That same story appeared in a lot of different 2001 media, andit was spelled out pretty explicitly that the small black stones were rahi: Mata Nui doesn't shrink, he sinks. And the Matoran gather around his face, which still protrudes on the surface...There are no 2010 predictions here, but you may recognize a pretty big hint about the nature of the island.
  14. It doesn't make much difference to me, but I do hope they leave an axel-hole in the mouth for back-compatibility.
  15. Anybody else notice that the mask designs are labeled as "LEGO Technic?"
  16. I would say Egyptian, rather than Meso-American. Though the "runes" on the final version do look like a simplified version of Mayan script.
  17. Well, it was his only name for about eight years, so you can't expect people to be unattached to it. No one was exactly clamoring to give him a new one. (Even after they introduced the idea of "Makuta" as a species, which came way out of left field.)
  18. Fine. But I didn't ask you to turn my beautiful legs into mushy, organic twigs.... ....my feet into tragic, walking vegetable gardens.... ....or my mouth into a lewd, plushy orifice. This is the butthole reality. Say goodbye to everything you ever knew.
  19. Man, that's crazy-intricate. Loving all the greeblies, I don't think I've ever seen a Bionicle MOC with quite the same "texture" before. That said, I'm thinking that her hips are a bit narrow? Bionicle's history of insanely broad shoulders has conditioned us to consider these proportions feminine, but they're actually quite manly. (Squinting your eyes so that you just see her outline makes it more apparent.) I'd try and modify the hips to about the same width as the shoulders.
  20. Ah, but I can't add edge loops into subtracted holes. The only way to capture all those axel/pin holes is with the subtraction tool. So it's gotta be buttholes. Buttholes forever. buttholes all the way down
  21. Dang, Bonesiii, those Rahi are amazing! You really captured the essence of the original models. Can this be your new niche on this site? I want moar
  22. Depends. If it's a hard reboot, I wouldn't mind seeing Makuta return as the villain. For the love of God, though, don't make him part of a Makuta species, and do away with the name "Teridax." Nobody ever asked for that. Even if it's a hard reboot, though, I could still live with a new bunch of villains. Now if it's a continuation or soft reboot? No way, keep him out of there. For the one exception, here's my post on the matter from the Bionicle 2015 topic:
  23. So I never got around to posting this, but this was my Maya final last semester. I might do the mask and tool and whatnot when I have some free time, but don't hold me to it. His geometry is really complicated, with lots of Booleans and things. If I turn on rounding, all the holes in his body pucker up like nasty buttholes
