  3. Today we're announcing the last raffle that's part of Ninjago Month. For only $1 per ticket, you can enter to win a copy of 70724 NinjaCopter, the biggest Ninja vehicle from this year's wave of sets (as long as you don't consider dragons vehicles). The proceeds go to support BZPower and our ongoing server and licensing costs. Help us out and get a chance to win an awesome set! View the full article
  4. When LEGO started building its websites for next year, they didn't consider me and my masterful skills of educated URL guessing. This picture is already on the servers of LEGO.com and will be a thumbnail on the LEGO.com Products section linking to BIONICLE.com when it returns. At this point I think we can state without a doubt that BIONICLE is indeed returning next year. What does that golden mask represent, though? Let the speculation begin! Of course, I'll keep you updated if I happen to find more images like this. View the full article
  5. It's been a few days since we announced our last raffle, so we figured it was time to change that. 6. Marvel Studio's latest film Guardians of the Galaxy is still doing well at the box office, and with characters like Groot and Rocket Raccoon that is no surprise. In today's set review of the Knowhere Escape Mission, we see their LEGO counterparts as they reenact a key scene from the movie while fighting some formidable bad guys. Watch the video and read the review to see what is so great about this playset, and say it with me: I am Groot! View the full article
  7. Just a reminder that today is the last day to enter for a chance to win a pass to New York Comic Con to see the unveiling of a new LEGO theme. It's sure to be a blast, so if you can make it to New York on Thursday, October 9th, go submit your entry now! View the full article
  8. If you spend $30 or more on LEGO sets at Toys 'R' Us, you can nab yourself a free Star Wars ARC-170 mini-model polybag. The deal is for this week only, while supplies last. It looks like a cool little model, so if you're a Star Wars fan head over and check it out! View the full article
  9. There's a huge demand in the LEGO community for pieces that the company just doesn't make. Look around the Internet (or go to a comprehensive listing like BrickMap) and you'll see a lot of places that offer products that are compatible with LEGO bricks, whether they be brand new pieces, custom-painted or decaled, or existing pieces molded in a new color. Some fans even turn to competitors such as Mega Bloks and KRE-O to get elements that are compatible with LEGO bricks but in new and different shapes. What if LEGO decided to put together an offering to allow its fans to create their own elements? I have reason to believe that they might be doing just that - read on to see why! 10. Green Man Gaming is currently offering 75% off digital downloads of eight LEGO video games, bringing them down to $4.99 or $7.49. 11. Over on neoape they recently came across the instructions for the exclusive sets that will be available as part of the Toys 'R' Us Bricktober promotion next month. There are four mini-modular buildings: a movie theater, pizzeria, fire station and town hall, and based on past experiences you'll be able to get one each week during the month of October if you spend over a certain amount at your local TRU. The models look pretty awesome and will go nicely with the 2012 set 10230 Mini Modulars! View the full article
  12. Although it missed the deadline for the latest review period, another model has recently achieved ten thousand votes on LEGO Ideas. The Avengers Helicarrier is a really impressive microscale version of the massive ship from the 2012 Marvel movie, and YoSub Joo's creation is packed with a ton of detail. Personally, I think the likelihood of it turning into a set is slim because of its size, the age of the movie, and the fact that LEGO already has a license agreement with Marvel. But we'll just have to wait and see! View the full article
  13. The Fold has released the music video for their latest song, . The video uses a lot of footage from the current season of Ninjago, as well as clips submitted by fans. It's great to see them working with their fan community, and the song is pretty catchy too. Give it a watch! View the full article

  16. I feel like this already happened, but the big news today is that LEGO is the world's largest toy company, according to sites like CNN Money. In terms of revenue and profit, LEGO is clearly ahead of both Mattel and Hasbro after sales increased 11% in the first six months of the year compared to the same period last year. We already knew LEGO was the best toy company in the world, but now it's clearly the biggest too! View the full article
  17. Over on LEGO Ideas, a new project has achieved the requisite ten thousand votes to enter the review phase. The Hubble Space Telescope model by GRusso will be considered by LEGO to be turned into an actual LEGO set. Space exploration has been a common theme, with the Hayabusa satellite and Mars Curiosity Rover already passing the muster and showing up on store shelves. I've unfortunately missed the first two, but if this one makes it I'll definitely be picking it up! View the full article

  20. It's time for our first Ninjago Month set review! Today I take a look at 70720 Hover Hunter, the smallest set in the 2014 Ninjago line. 21. It is always a treat to see into the factory that brings us our beloved, colorful LEGO pieces. Recently The Guardian was given access to see the procedure for producing these amazing bits of plastic, along with a few other photos of day-to-day life in Billund, Denmark's, LEGO factory. Be sure to check out the new photos, even if you think you know it all--I sure learned something new about the molding process. View the full article
  22. Recently a new blog entry was posted over on ReBrick regarding the Batman 75th Anniversary Contest that they're running. Her giant Batman minifigure is awesome and it's great to see an amazing build get recognized. Good luck to Maddison in the finals! View the full article
