  4. The Comic Con news keeps coming - it's like you don't even have to go there. This time, it's USA Today with the reveal of the next UCS-scale set - Batman's Tumbler. Straight from Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, the set will contain 1,869 pieces, retail for $199, and be available in September. The best part, however, is that it contains minifigs of Christian Bale as Batman and Heath Ledger as The Joker. It's sure to be a hot seller! View the full article
  5. It's time for another set review today, today we present 70815 Super Secret Police Dropship from the LEGO Movie line. BZPower Forum Assistant Nuju Metru has taken a look at this set from every angle, and has been kind enough to share his thoughts on it with you. To see if this is a set worthy of adding to your collection, read and watch on! (Oh and if that wasn't enough of an incentive, we're giving away some polybags in the video too!) View the full article

  7. This isn't an official statement but a kind request. If your creation is an entry for a running contest hosted on BZPower, please make it clear in the topic title/description/post so we don't miss it if we plan to feature your creation on the front page, which would be an unfair advantage to other contestants while the contest is running. Thank your for your understanding and cooperation. -- Adrian View the full article
  8. Some may call thirteen an unlucky number, but here BZPower is thirteen years later and we're still going strong! I can't think of many other websites that I've been visiting for thirteen years, and so I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the thousands upon thousands of visitors and members BZPower has had over the years - especially those of you who think we're still worth visiting over a decade later. But you don't really care about all that, the anniversary is about fun and cool stuff! We'll be using this news story to keep track of everything, so read on to see what we're up to this year! 9. Last year during the anniversary we announced our new raffle system, and with over twenty under our belt I think it's safe to say that that it's been a success. Today, to celebrate our anniversary, we're starting two more. Do you like spaceships? We thought you might, so we're giving away a copy of 70816 Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! For only $1 per ticket, you can have a chance to win this hugely awesome set. Free more your style? We also have a set of Frosticon Mixels that any member can enter to win. Not a member yet? What's more, should you decide to buy a Premier Membership between now and August 9th, you can use the coupon code BZPLucky13 to get 10% off the price. 11. It seems there must be a collective 2001 nostalgia rush or something but if you thought we were done with that kind of MOC after the last two, you were wrong. Today we spotlight the Chronicler's Company Rebuilt by Click. I have a weak spot for little MOCs that use few parts in original and effective ways so this collection caught my eye. I'm very fond of the torso design (especially the one four of them use) and some of the small but very detailed weapons like Taipu's or Tamaru's. If you like small MOCs, I'm certain you'll like these. View the full article
  12. Brick Fanatics picked up an interesting story the other day. If the full gamut of DC Universe superheroes in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham wasn't enough for you, it turns out Adam West has a part to play in the new game as well, as himself. Based on the teaser image TT Games posted, it looks like there will be a playable Adam West character in the game, perhaps in a similar vein to Stan Lee appearing in the latest Marvel release. The full details will be revealed at Comic Con, so we'll have to wait and see! View the full article
  13. At the rate they're going, LEGO isn't going to have anything left to show once San Diego Comic Con kicks off next week. The Hollywood Reporter has a story revealing some of the Hobbit-related goodies that will be at the event. Of the four exclusive minifigs that will be given out, Bard the Bowman will be one of them, in addition to The Collector. More impressive though is the over six foot tall model of Smaug the Horrible from The Hobbit, built by the amazing Erik Varszegi over the course of 625 hours, made out of 83,433 LEGO bricks, and weighing in at 411 pounds. That'll be quite the sight to see! View the full article
  14. Over at LEGO Ideas, the UCS All Terrain Armored Transport project has recently reached the milestone of ten thousand votes from the community. This means it will become a part of the next review panel the Ideas Team holds, and will be considered to be released as a set. It's an amazingly impressive model on a huge scale, which personally tells me that it won't make it past the review - it would just be too expensive to reach a wide market. But who knows, we'll have to wait and see, and maybe some day you'll be able to buy a two-foot tall AT-AT set. View the full article
  15. There's been some more information released about LEGO's presence at the San Diego Comic Con. Over at The Wallstreet Journal again, they showed off a seven foot tall sculpture of Groot and Rocket Raccoon that will be on display. They also announced that four exclusive minifigs will be given away, one of which will be The Collector. In addition to Rocket's Warbird, there will also be an exclusive set of the Batmobile from the original TV series and a Ghost from the upcoming Star Wars Rebels show. Yahoo! has most of the same info, but also has a picture of the Ghost set and a teaser for an upcoming LEGO Movie set too! All told, there will be over 20 exclusives to the show, including special sets, life-size models, and more. View the full article
  16. BZPower is no stranger to crowdfunding, and neither is the LEGO fan community at large. Two new projects have recently appeared on Kickstarter that AFOLs will be interested in. The first is SBrick, a Bluetooth-powered intelligent brick that you can use to bring your LEGO creations to life and control them from your iOS, Android, or Windows phone. There's also Brick-A-Pic, a service to turn any image you desire into a LEGO mosaic and have the parts and instructions delivered to your door. They look like some great additions to the LEGO ecosystem and I wish them both good luck! View the full article
  17. Back in May we announced the BZPower Referral Program to help encourage you to get your friends to join the site. While we've definitely seen the system used and have had a bunch of new people join as a result, we thought now would be a good time to remind everyone about the program. Both referrers and referee get some cool perks for participating, including trial Premier Memberships, Proto Boosts, and custom member titles. Help BZPower grow and help yourself out too! 18. The Wallstreet Journal has broken the news about the exclusive set LEGO will be selling at San Diego Comic Con next week. Rocket's Warbird comes from the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie and features Rocket Raccoon because he's awesome. The set contains 145 pieces and will sell for $39.99, which may seem like a lot but isn't too bad for such a limited edition set. If you're going to the event, do your best to get one! 19. If the Toys 'R' Us Sale we mentioned earlier this week didn't trip your trigger, perhaps this one will. Amazon is running a Buy-One-Get-One 40% Off sale on select toy brands, including LEGO. You'll find a lot of Marvel and DC Superheroes sets (including the new Guardians of the Galaxy!), as well as Star Wars, Legends of Chima, and The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Some of the sets are already discounted from their MSRP too! And you don't even have to leave your house to take advantage of it. View the full article
  20. Who doesn't like LEGO sets? The CEE team recently sent us a box full of them so I did what any reasonable person would do - I made an unboxing video. If you want see what we got and how you can get your hands on them, read on or check out the video ! View the full article
  21. To clarify, you can get the character Plastic Man, in a plastic minifig form, when you pre-order your copy of LEGO Batman 3 from Gamestop. Other stores have their own pre-order bonuses, and they all seem to be pretty different, from polybag mini models to minifig key chains. You can see the full list on Gameinformer to help you decide if and where to pre-order the game. View the full article
  22. LEGO cosplay has been around for quite some time, and even now something still stands out. Recently a dad assembled an extremely detailed LEGO Boba Fett costume for his 6 year old son for a local toy convention. The professional design of all the pieces show that this is one lucky kid, and set a new standard for LEGO fig cosplay. Check out the pictures and hope the kid does not fall into the Sarlacc Pit! 24. Hopefully you've been keeping up with our featuring Takuma Nuva and Zatth. Today we're announcing a new series of videogame-related videos: . 25. It is time for our last summer Hero Factory set review. Today BZPower Forum Assistant Sisen sits down with 44023 ROCKA Crawler, the smallest set in the summer lineup.
