  1. BZPower member fishers64 has discovered that you can now watch all eleven Hero Factory episodes online on the Hero Factory website. If you missed one of them when they aired on TV or didn't get the Rise of the Rookies and Savage Planet DVDs or don't feel like paying for them on your favourite streaming service or whatever your reasons may have been, now's your chance to catch up. While you're at it, BZPower member Lenny7092 has started a discussion thread asking about your favourite Hero Factory episode so you can head there right after watching the episodes to share your thoughts! 2. You guys all know Takuma Nuva, Sumiki, and Zatth, three of our resident crazy BZPower staffers, right? Well someone made the mistake of letting them all talk to each other and something unthinkable happened - they had an idea. At their bequest we have added a new pledge level to our crowdfunding campaign complete with its own unique perk. If you donate $75 you will get to give them an idea for a video and they will film it at BrickFair for all to see. How awesome is that?! If that's not your thing though, there's plenty of other donation levels to choose from to come party with us in Virginia or to help us make more videos! We appreciate all the support you guys have shown thus far - we're well on our way to reaching our goal! View the full article
  3. Back in April, Toys 'R' Us had a promotion where you could build and take home a model of Emmet's car from The LEGO Movie. BZPower Member BlueFire was kind enough to get an extra copy for us to review. Read on to check out this little set and see if it's something you should add to your collection! We've also got a polybag giveaway if you watch our video review! View the full article

  6. Alatariel Elensar is the brilliant mind behind the LEGO Ideas project that has become 21110 Research Institute. Recently she received a copy of the set and was allowed to review it and share her thoughts. It looks like an awesome addition to the Ideas line and I hope it proves to be a big seller so we get more sets that lean in this direction in the future! View the full article
  7. It's been less than a week since we announced our crowdfunding campaign for a party at BrickFair Virginia and we're already over a quarter of the way there! 8. Last month at BrickFair New England I sat down with Jamie Berard, a set designer from LEGO that you may have seen in some of the set reveal videos we've posted in the past. He agreed to answer some questions for BZPower, which I paraphrased and transcribed as fast as I could type. I learned a lot of cool things about the role designers play and some interesting information about Jamie's background too. If you'd like to see what makes one of the better-known set designers tick, read on! View the full article
  9. Lots of people have been excited to see the writers and cast for the upcoming new Star Wars film, especially with so many returning characters. But it's even better to see them in LEGO. This image was recently posted on LEGO's Facebook page, and does a good job of showing off the characters. For a more in depth look, you can see The Brick Fan's breakdown of the people in the image. 10. Over at Amazon, they have some pretty decent price cuts on some of the first half 2014 Ninjago sets. 70723 Thunder Raider is $19.49 (35% off), 70724 NinjaCopter is $41.99 (30% off), and 70725 Nindroid Mech Dragon is $61.57 (32% off). Some of the smaller sets are on sale as well, but the savings aren't quite as good. If you've been looking to pick up some of these sets, this looks like a great time! View the full article
  11. Over at Teefury they're having another 'Twofury' sale for today only. The shirts are both Disney-themed, but one, Want to Build a Snowman?, brings LEGO into the mix too. Frozen was one of my favorite non-Pixar Disney flicks in recent memory, and the shirt design is great. If only those minifigs and Olaf actually existed! Get it while it lasts! View the full article
  12. You've played the Bionicle Mafia games (and if you haven't, head over to Games & Trivia now!) but have you heard the whole story? Voltex Oblige thinks you haven't, and has turned the fun game into a full-fledged epic. If you're looking for something to read during your summer break, check out Bionicle Mafia Uprising: Book 1 - Isolation; and if you think that title's long brace yourself for a lot of reading. You'll see a lot of familiar faces from around the forums, but don't get too attached - not everyone makes it out when the Mafia comes to town... View the full article

  17. If you live in London or will be there within the next few weeks you should definitely check this out: In celebration of the 200th anniversary of the iconic London Bus, a functional (but only temporary) bus stop has been constructed from over 100,000 LEGO bricks in Regent Street. Everything except for the maps has been built out of bricks, including the glass, which of course was built with clear bricks, and the arrival screan, which reads "Next bus is just a brick away". In case you feel like getting some LEGO sets after arriving on the bus station, you can go to the toy store right in front of it. Check out some pictures and more information on Leg Godt. 18. There is an upcoming LEGO event at the Newport City campus of the University of South Wales in the UK called Beyond the Brick (not to be mistaken with the documentary) from July 14 to 20. This exhibition and series of workshops is put on by the E2 Young Engineers group to present a hands-on experience with LEGO bricks, including displays, competitions, and brick films. The Guardian reports that Tech Monthly is giving away two tickets for the Friday, July 18 show. More information is there on how you can enter to win to take part in this fun opportunity. 19. If you already picked up The LEGO Movie on DVD or BluRay then you might have seen these, but for those of you who haven't checked out the recent release, you're in for a treat. CBMTrailers on YouTube has a couple of the special features from the movie available for you to watch. Check out Enter the Ninjago and History Cops! Could the first one be a hint of what we'll see in the actual Ninjago movie? And I would totally watch Abe Lincoln and Michelangelo traveling through time solving crime! View the full article
  20. Later today we will be performing some database maintenance on BZPower's server. While this is happening, the forums will be offline. We estimate that it will take about two to three hours to complete. While it's going on, you can check the #BZPUpdate hashtag on Twitter to see how things are going. Thank you all for your patience and understanding! View the full article
  21. Chronic Records is a CYOA (Choose Your Own Adventure) comic by BZPower member Leraku following the adventures of everyone's favorite chronicler Takua as he wakes up on the beach of Mata Nui with an extraordinary case of amnesia. Any deviation from the official canon in this story is just in your mind and totally not there. The great thing about this comic is that you decide how it continues, so head over to the topic and let Leraku know if Takua should do some moon walk on the beach or rather eat some delicious sand pie. (I just made those two up so if you want Takua to do those things you should totally go ahead and suggest them!) View the full article
  22. Traveling can be much fun, but it's even more fun if you take some LEGO with it. So it only makes sense that in 2012, Craig McCartney and Lindsey Haggerty from Scotland took two minifigures with them, took photos of them, and decided to take the figures with them on future travels. Over that time, they've compiled an impressive collection of over 1000 photos, featuring their LEGO avatars in a great number of places in a variety of situations, which you may want to check out. So, next time that you travel with your partner, perhaps you should remember to take some minifigures with you! View the full article
  23. Last year at BrickFair Virginia, BZPower hosted a party featuring laser tag and delicious pizza open to members of the site. Everyone had tons of fun, so of course we wanted to do it again this year. Not willing to settle for merely doing the same thing again in 2014, we thought about what we could do to make it better, not just for the people at BrickFair, but for everyone on BZPower! With that in mind, I'm pleased to present BZPower's first crowdfunding campaign! Read on to see what we have planned! View the full article
  24. Yesterday we shared the news of LEGO Fusion, the upcoming LEGO experience that combines building with bricks with interactive gaming. Today we have some official images as well as the press release and fact sheet for LEGO Fusion, courtesy of the LEGO PR group Flashpoint. To get more detail about what's coming later this year, read on! View the full article
  25. Back in May, LEGO asked us to share a survey with you all, to help them gather data about the AFOL community. Today, they have shared some of the information gathered from your responses. It unfortunately doesn't shed too much light on the communities in North, Central, and South America, but there's some interesting data nonetheless. Read on to check it out! View the full article
