  1. Thawing from the Chima ice age comes Mungus, a mammoth/elephant Legends of Chima character! This tribe has emerged in some recent summer sets, and today the Chi-powered constraction set of Mungus is featured. Just how strong is he? 2. Move over USA, Hungary now holds the world record for the tallest LEGO tower, NTD reports. The 34.76 meter-tall (114 foot-tall) tower was constructed in front of Saint Stephen's Basilica in Budapest, Hungary. The previous record was 34.43 meters (just shy of 113 feet) built by a school in Delaware last summer. If you were hoping to head over to Budapest to check it out I'm afraid you're too late - the tower is being disassembled today. I'm sure someone else will step up soon to try to top this new record though! View the full article
  3. If you have ever wanted your minifigs to be decorated a little more bizarrely, or wished your favorite Munchkin cards would be translated into LEGO form, then the Crazy Bricks Munchkin Bricks KickStarter is for you! The AFOL responsible for such wonders as minifig-compatible pig, cow, and skull heads is back for a fan favorite: Munchkin weapons. I'd wager there are more than a few Munchkin fans lurking here on BZPower, and this is a great way to combine your tabletop gaming and LEGO interests together. Check it out for all the perks still being offered after it has met its funding goal. View the full article

  5. LEGO was kind enough to send us a batch of the LEGO Legends of Chima constraction sets for this year, so of course we're going to review them. We're kicking things off with 70206 CHI Laval, the brave but often problem-causing hero of the group. And don't worry, if you're bummed that these sets aren't available in North America, we're giving away a copy too! So continue on to watch our video and read the review! View the full article
  6. Philly Brick Fest took place back in April outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was a first time event, but it was tons of fun and had a huge public turnout. Find out about the new LEGO Ideas site (formerly LEGO Cuusoo), and a bit about Tim and his background with the company. You can read on to watch the video or check it out Huge thanks to Tim and the CEE Team for all their efforts to help the community and for making this happen! View the full article
  11. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed the director and release date for the upcoming LEGO Ninjago animated movie. Scheduled for September 23, 2016, Charlie Bean will make his directorial debut with the film. Bean's previous work includes Tron: Uprising. While this will be his first time directing, I'm not too worried - Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the writers and directors of The LEGO Movie, will be producing the Ninjago film along with Dan Lin and Roy Lee, who produced it. I hope you're all ready for some Spinjitzu action! View the full article

  15. Five years after taking a break from saving the world, LEGO's secret agent theme is back this summer with the Ultra Agents! Now the sets are available for preorder on Shop at Home, set to ship out next week on May 25. There is a variety of vehicles, missions and price points to appeal to any LEGO fan. I've been looking forward to this rebooted theme since their showcase at the New York Toy Fair, so it is great being able to see some high-quality set photos and official details before their launch. Sneak into S@H to see what is coming! View the full article

  22. That's right, folks. 23. It doesn't matter how you cut the canon, some pairings were simply meant to be. Whether it's everyone's favorite water-and-stone matoran couple or crewmates of Kopaka and Gali's ship, there's no denying it. That's why I'm excited to see one of my favorite BZPower authors has created an incredible story exploring the nuances of one of the most underrated theoretical pairings in the Matoran universe: The shapeshifter Krahka and Toa Onewa! Transformations isn't incredibly long, but make sure you have time to spare- Once you start reading, you won't want to stop. View the full article
  24. It's only been a short while since LEGO Cuusoo changed to LEGO Ideas, but another fan-made creation has reached the coveted 10,00-supporters mark since then. Assault on Wayne Manor adds a big set to the LEGO DC Super Heroes line, featuring plenty of playability and new character minifigs. This isn't the first Super Heroes set to reach enough support, but can it be the first to pass the review and become a set? We'll just have to wait for the next review board, and in the meantime keep an eye on the other Ideas climbing quickly. View the full article
