  1. OOC: Yeah....sorry about that. I assumed that the "get to the fountain" plot point had to happen yet tonight. I'll let Tsulcrix stay in limbo until she is necessary.
  2. OOC: Oh no, Tsully's gonna get beat up while I'm not watching, isn't she?
  3. Dat display name....double brohoof all the way across the sky dude. :-P

    1. Bambi

  4. OOC: Er...unfortunately, I won't be able to post much today, so hopefully I can catch up with a wrap-up post tomorrow. IC: Tsulcrix put out her torch and stealthily approached the fountain.
  5. OOC: You're right, that is hilariously bad. Though in my defense, the description in the main post doesn't mention that. I was trying to justify the mental image I had developed while making the character. IC: Tsulcrix was inspecting a tome for damage amidst a sea of candles, when a series of whoops, shrieks, and other sounds of battle broke out in Arhtok's otherwise tranquil streets. The noise jarred her in such a way that she knocked over a handful of her candles, quickly setting the dry paper on fire. She cursed and panicked to blow out the fire, before remembering her affinity and magically putting out the flames. "I guess one more chance to be a scholar was too much, eh?" she muttered to the Makers bitterly, grabbing her bag and walking out door, locking the door as she rushed out. She grabbed a piece of wood and lit it into an improvised torch before racing toward the fountain. OOC: Assuming the raiders are near the fountain...
  6. OOC: Yeah, that last section sounds a little suspect, even to me. Hopefully I'll get a better understanding of the setting through RPing.
  7. Yeah, I absolutely loved Sym-Bionic Titan. The plot, while a little stereotypical, had a lot of cool references to popular culture and older cartoons, such as Samurai Jack, and a good sense of humor. It had a pretty good following too, until it got cut due to "lack of merchandising." If anyone actually understands what that means, please explain.
  8. I don't have any personal grudge against Apple, but I've met far too many people who see having the latest iPhone as a sign of social status. At times, it almost feels like a type of class warfare. On the other hand, I may just live in a place particularly full of bigots... Also, I grew up using Windows for almost everything, and any other OS just feels "wrong" to me. Again, I don't mean to be a hater, it's just my personal preference. Keizah, signing out~!
  9. Well, to be fair, being a street magician involves a lot of acting. I personally think that "The Great and Powerful Trixie" is just a stage persona, nothing more. But yeah, she's gained a lot of popularity, mostly on account of her being EQD's mascot. Keizah, signing out~!
  10. "What The Water Gave Me" by Florence + the Machine
  11. Although most of my entertainment during the downtime was pony-related, there were a number of anime and manga I got into. Not listed in any particular order: BleachOne PieceBaccano!Haruhi SuzumiyaDurarara!!Code GeassDarker Than BlackFairy Tail (one of my favorites, good humor balanced with epic battle scenes)Freezing (a friend got me into this one, mostly the manga. very involving plot, not at all what you would expect from the gory fights and setting)Level E (alien comedy)Toriko (still forming an opinion...)Tiger & Bunny (quite possibly my favorite anime ever)[C] The Money of Soul and Possibility Control (another good anime, although tragically short-lived)Gosick (really cute, yet thrilling)Sacred Seven (same dealie, there were a lot of awesome anime last season)Kamisama DollsSteins;Gate (very neat story about time travel, I don't consider it sci-fi because there is no over-the-top technology)Kimi to BokuPhi Brain: Kami no PuzzleGuilty Crown (very Code:Geass-like, i.e. oppressive military with mechs vs. rebels, main character has magic) The last three are fairly new. I'm curious to see how they will progress. Edit: I'm sure I missed one in there...meh, it will come back to me eventually.

  13. Photo Finish: "Flüttershai, I have been looking for you everyvhere! Ve have the thing at the place!"Fluttershy: "I'll see you at the spa? Our usual time?"Rarity: "Of course! I can't wait to hear all about the...thing at the place. (Scene: Twilight is trampled on by a stampede of bunnies)Flutterbully: "Good boy, Angel. Mama's so proud!" Fluttershy: "Got it!"(dives down to Rainbow Dash, then wakes her up)Fluttershy: "Um, I'm just wondering if it's okay if I hold you down against your will for a little bit?"Twilight Sparkle: Groan Hm...oddly, two of my favorite quotes come from The Return of Harmony, Part 2. 14. So the Cutie Mark Crusaders have a magical connection relating to the return of Nightmare Moon? Oh my, that sounds ominous... Keizah, signing out~!
  15. Eeyup, Sweetie Belle is shown cowering in fear of Nightmare Moon at the end of episode 1 with Apple Bloom and Scootaloo. Ironically, they supposedly did not meet until "Call of the Cutie." Keizah, signing out~!
  16. Well, given that she was a background character with -1 appearances at that time, I'd consider her being best pony that highly unlikely. ...oh wait, Vinyl Scratch... Keizah, signing out~!
  17. Hm...I'm a PCA for a boy with Asperger's and one of my friends also has it. The thing that confuses me is that they're complete opposites: [*]The boy I PCA for cannot make eye contact with most adults and has frequent anxiety attacks. All of his toys need to be in mint condition, otherwise he gets rid of them.[*]My friend is extremely social and outgoing and, if anything, seems unusually resilient to stress. The only "symptom" I've noticed is that he has a very large anime collection.Keizah, signing out~!
  18. I'm really not surprised that these two communities overlap. Adult fans of Bionicle are already accustomed to enjoying things that are supposedly "childish." Add a good sense of humor, appreciation of cuteness, and knowledge of memes, and you've got a Brony! Oh, and Fluttershy is best pony, although Sweetie Belle may overtake her after episode 5.
  19. Finally, midterms are over!!! Er....sorry, college has been a little rough. ^w^I've enjoyed reading the chapters of "Final Stretch." Nuvakuta's encounter with Librum was excellent, I particularly liked the metaphors about light and shadow. It's little things like that which make your writing pop out.Excellent idea, splitting Kharuun's team into groups of three. It really helps me get a picture of the battle scene, otherwise I forget which characters are participating in the battle. On a related note, I like the characters' reactions to killing or saving their foes. Too many anime and manga characters have unrealistic detachment from the concept of killing, which makes them tragically two-dimensional.-Keizah, signing out!-
  20. Interesting...I noticed that first 120 were different somehow... The weird thing is that my brother and I did practically the same thing. We made cards for each of our Bionicle sets, gave them "special moves," then acted out epic duals between them. The idea sounds really boring now, but it was actually quite fun back then.
  21. Thank you for the compliment! The banner has to do with the "disaster girl" internet meme. It was a pretty short meme, though, so I can see how you wouldn't know.
