  1. lol, why in the world would it be an oxymoron? And no, I don't literally bounce all over the place (I kindof exaggerated), but I do have random goofy moments. -EF
  2. Might I just point out that there is a fundamental difference between hating math and hating to do math. You see, without that fine subject we would definitely be bereft of many, many of the modern technological advances that we enjoy today. Computers would not exist, and therefor by extension *gasp!* BZPower would not exist either. It is one thing for you to hate doing the subject, but to hate it entirely? That's different, and not very healthy. (note that you didn't say it Niki, a few other members did though) I for one enjoy the subject. -EF
  3. Just thought I'd let you know that I responded to your crit in my blog. Thanks btw! :)

  4. Well I have my most squirrelly moments when I've been indoors and reading alot for the past several days and I have a very large amount of built-up energy that simply needs to be expelled somewhere. That's when the random moments of goofiness begin coming on, and I start to bounce all over the place. I totally know where you're coming from about the foraging moments though. I do those all the time. -EF
  5. Or, what if the cube was packaged with the Bahrag Queens, as a sortof teaser to the next line? It would have been a cool mystery. Of course, all of that is over and done with, so... Nice thought though! -EF
  6. What a shame. It would be epic to have it hang across your ceiling, but that would most likely cover over the light. Could you put it up in your dorm's living room instead? I don't know what your set-up is... -EF
  7. lol, clever signature. ^_^

  8. Nifty. I wish BIONICLE sets had gotten as complex and involved. Ah well. Nice purchase! I especially like the red one's color scheme and face. lol, the green one's face looks confused. So, do the little robots get in the chest of the larger ones to control them? It looks that way... -EF

I still would like to know any thoughts you guys have on my current project! @ staff: this is not a comments drive; I simply want to know what my fellow MoCists have to say on the topic. Since I posted this last week, I have fixed the lower legs so that they integrate more technic, and I think I've got a good upper leg design.I still need to change the arm cannon and add a head. The back isn't done yet either. We're getting close! (all of that ^^^ in response to the first comments) Please forgive the picture quality. They are WIP pix after all. Ok, so here he is: [1] [2] [3] [4] As I have mentioned before, he was inspired by DV's Transtech Shockwave. All comments and criticisms are welcome (though preferably constructive). So... thoughts? Also: Name change! (sorry CF, I just wanted to try something new ) ~EF (GBG)

Aha! I think I finally understand what you're getting at. You had me confused talking about the "front" and "back" of the Inika leg, when I have used it as an arm and it's backwards than normal. lol, I gotcha now. Hmm... dunno how to fix that. I did get the design from DV afterall. Good suggestion with the claws; I didn't know that they had a simple pin connection and not an axle one, which is good to know. I don't really want to spend 15 bucks for them though. The main reason I added the claws was because his fingers just seem blunt without them and a little bit short too. I also like the idea of him using them as a weapon. Yeah, I completely agree on the gun arm; I plan on changing it up a bit. I kinda just threw that together as a test to be honest. Heh, "greebles": I like the term. Actually, I would say that having nifty ideas are always nice, but I also agree that attempting to combine too many can indeed be counter productive for the looks and build of a particular MoC. I understand the apparent conflict between the smooth upper torso and the midsection, but I can't make the whole thing perfectly smooth, understand. If it weren't for the white Mahri visors I wouldn't even have that element of smoothness. As I told Arpy above though, I plan on definitely tweaking the gun arm. As to the spikes, the main ones on the back are for aerodynamic fins, so to speak, which go around the jets in the back (did you take a look at all of the pictures, or just the initial one?); I still have two side fins to add once I get my Pridak in from B6. And no, the read part is not his eye; it's part of the chest and I still need to add a head. Yes, this is supposed to be a robotic humanoid. As I said in the original entry, I'm basing the idea of him off of DV's Transtech Shockwave, which is a robot on wheeled legs with a streamlined feel to it. I don't really know how to clarify my objective for you... I guess my main motive has been to really try to work with system and dive into the Fusion business. Thus, (considering this is my first true attempt) I won't be anywhere near where DV or ToM are. Also, I just wanted to build a cool robot and have fun at the same time! lol, this whole "greeble" concept is new to me. I will need to keep it in mind... Also, I understand that the WIP pics don't give a very accurate view of him and thus he is hard to understand. Sorry about that. Just remember that MoCing is an art, and as such every MoCist will have his/her own style. Thanks so much for the crit Laka! It is much appreciated. -EF
  11. Hey BD, are you still planning on commenting on my WIP picture? I'd still love your input! ^_^

  12. Personally, I think a few of them look quite nifty. Also, the weapons look attractive.... -EF

    Bookmarks!

Wow. Just wow. You are a truly talented artist! I love your renditions of Lewa and Gali; they seem to fit perfectly. I would recommend lamination as well, and then you can just cut 'em all down to size. Also, I might be interested; I'll see when you're done. btw, your past drawings of human Gali and Lewa have been inspiration to me for the clothing of some fictional characters of mine in a book I am working on (and in the girl's case, Gali's looks played a part too). Just thought I'd let you know. -EF (GBG)

    Got Taka.

I know whatcha mean. If you think about it though, the Stars are pretty much the same size as the Toa Olda and they are the same price now. The Olda are arguably much more cool, interactive, and they had more pieces though to be sure. Just a thought on the size... -EF

    Got Taka.

Well, this afternoon I got Turaga Starz Taka on impulse. I was actually looking to see if they had any Atlantis sets yet (I had no idea when they were being released). They did not, and I moseyed on down to the BIONICLE section and saw the starz sets just sitting there as happy as could be. My eyes fell on Taka, and it occured to me that he was white and my current MoC project is white themed as well. Upon inspecting the included pieces, I came to the conclusion that the purchasing of said set could be advantageous to said MoCing project. Thus... I got him, mainly for the white shoulder armor, new feet (thank goodness for those axle holes on their underside), and the new intriguing chest piece. Besides the new pieces, he's basically... an Avtoran who has stolen Taka's mask (how dare he?!). This kinda makes a good Turaga Taka, but not a Nuva re-make. I don't want to repeat what everyone else has said though, so I'll stop there. I can tell you one thing, he'll be busted quite soon. -EF

You know, I really haven't thought of the possibility of doing a monopod... I kindof like that idea, but I'll toy with it. I'm not entirely sure what you meant with your advice about the arm. What do you mean by "flared" Inika arm? I don't quite see the discontinuity you referenced... I sortof envisioned the "claws" for ripping opponent's metal structures, hence the viking horns. Good suggestion on the trans dish though. I can see how you would think that about the back jet area, but I'm not quite done with it yet. I still need my Pridak set to come in so I can. There are several more fins I need to add, which will then cover up that area. Thanks for the thoughts Arpy! ~EF (GBG)
  17. Well, I kinda was. But nah, I actually used that name for some graphic design stuff I did a while ago, and I liked it. But it seems like you guys just like GreenBioGuy much better! Also, thanks CF. GBG
  18. Name change to that? ^^^ Thoughts? Also, Project Fusion is progressing very well. I do believe that the torso and arms are for the most part complete and I just need to duplicate the lower left leg and foot for the right side and then come up with a fluid upper leg design that is better than the current one. Still no idea when it'll be done though, much less pictures be taken. I'm considering doing WIP pics soon. If I get enough requests I probably will. GBG
  19. I just thought I'd just mention that I really like your sig. That's just creative. :P

  20. Hey Taka, have you been able to ask Smeag about my prizes yet? Just checkin'... Thanks! :)

  21. I missed the trans-neon-green Barraki eyes; those should be sweet (not to mention all of the other black/lime parts you mentioned!) What does it mean to be an "exclusive" set? Can you only get it online? GBG
  22. lol. I had no intentions of locking it. *unlocks*

It looks like there are a ton of great fusion pieces in it too. I'm sure those fins could be used for some sweet MoCing. :)

  23. Whoops. I totally did not mean to lock this. I was looking at the new Atlantis site, and I found this set. It looks like it has some really good MoCing pieces in many different varieties. I won't be able to get it any time soon, but I just thought I'd throw that out there. GBG
  24. I recommend a less skinny neck. Besides that, it looks nifty. I do suppose that a shorter torso would look better too... GBG
