    Groundhog Day!

    So, today is the famous, or infamous, Groundhog Day. Each year on February 2nd, Mr. Punxsutawney Phil pops out of his hole and looks for his shadow. Either seeing it or not means different things.
     
    This year, Punxsutawney did not see his shadow, which means there will be an early spring.
     
    Take this news as you will, I for one want more snow.

    Well, my family got high speed internet now!
     
    Which means goodbye dial up!
     
    So things are going way too fast than I'm used to!

    Barraki Plans

    So, that's what I'm hoping for. Between late Chritsmas gits, my birthday soon, and then me buying stuff, there it it.

    well, I got two manga for christmas,
    -Cowboy Bepop-Shooting Star
    -Trigun Maximum
    then I bought two at borders the next day,
    -Neon Genesis Evangelion 3
    -FullMetal Alchemist 3
    and I borrowed a manga from the library,
    -+Anima 2
    and I also got this "manga" book for christmas. (I really don't like it. It is just comic claiming to be manga, it's left to right, they don't look anime-like. What it is is a book of 500 pages of people's comics, some good, some bad. Some seem like manga/anime, some very much not. It has some interesting stories, but it just doesn't have the manga feel. I'll read it, or some of it, just to be polite, then mark the good ones to lend out to friends. Honestly, I wish the gift giver had just gotten me the manga I had put on my wish list.)
    Well, it was a good thought.
     
    So I have five manga up in my room right now! (The book thing is under the tree with other stuff)
     
    I finished +Anima, and Eva. (Oh, yeah, chapter 14 was a surprise...) (If only Rei smiled sometime, at all, it looks like it's getting close.)
     
    So, that's my current Manga "schedule." I have to finish The World According to Garp soon (Like friday) for a book report (I wouldn't recommend this book), and I would like to finish Eragon before I see the movie on Saturday. Oh well.
     
    Sorry for the rant.
     
    Oh, and when I return from borders, there is an email saying buy two books, get one free. Arg!!!

    Christmas

    Well, I got some nice gifts for Christmas. (And why isn't anyone else blogging about their gifts?)
     
    Anyway, my parents figured out how to get me a $50 Lego set that would take up the least amount of space: Lego Viking Chess! Pretty cool, especially with 24 Minifigs, 8 silver spears, 12 ax heads, and 10 swords. I might just have to use some of these. (Or I'll keep it together if I find someone to play with....)
     
    I also got Dalu, but that is basically it for Lego, except my two friends and I exchange gifts on New Years Eve and they usually give me Lego. (My friend hinted too much at Axonn for me)
     
    I also got a really nice leather jacket, a new 1 gig flash drive, the Star Wars Calander, manga, and money. (and some important stuff like Philmont and camping gear)
     
    Well, that's about it. I'll use my money on manga, CD's, and any Barraki I don't get for Christmas or my birthday. (altough I only have one Inika....)

    Merry Naming Day!

    We'll see if I'm lucky to get online tomorrow, so I'm posting anything christmas today.
    To start, I made a topic about decorating your christmas tree, Link here, it's pretty fun.
     
    Second, on the name of this entry, I'm giving this a little more bionicle feel. You know, naming day! In one of the bionicle Adventures books, someone talks of Mata Nui riding throught the chutes and giving presents to matoran, so...Merry Naming Day!
     
    Well, in my family, there is the tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve, so I opened one from my sister. It's this little, mini Godzilla/T-rex like keychain, and when you press a button/lever, his mouth opens, lights up, and he gives off a screme!
     
    What I'm hoping for this Christmas:
    -Philmont stuff
    -Lego stuff (new, old, Bionicle, System)
    -Calander (Star Wars)
    -CD's (Big list, let's see what I get)
    -New Flash Drive
    -HAPPINESS, AND THAT EVERYONE HAS A GOOD TIME, AND IS CONTENT WITH THEIR GIFTS
     
    So yesterday I had an idea, and MOCed today. It went pretty well, & looks cool. I'll post it later. I have about 7 MOCs currently built, and am running out of available pieces if I want to keep them all together (including the Fused Piraka). I still have a plethora of ideas, but none will work with the limit of pieces I have. I may have to start using premade Toa bodies, but those don't get many good reviews, so I'll steer away from that. Instead, I might start using System pieces. I have some Techinc bricks which will do well for attaching arms and legs, so I guess I'll try my hand at Fusion! I already got an idea.
     
    Oh, what was funny, was at Christmas Eve Mass, I got some MOCing inspirations. I won't tell what, it'll be a surprise, but it's going to turn out nice if I get to it. I even had some ideas which will work well into this idea!
     
    In KIE's blog entry, Sunny With a High of 75, we find out that KIE like's Reliant K. Although it's not that hot here in N. VA, I wish it was. Either that or 40 degrees colder. Yesterday it was 65, and today it was 55. Either make it nice, or make it snow. Please
     
    Oh, speaking of music, some of the best Christmas Music is from the Trans Siberian Orchestra. My friend has two of their Christmas CD's, and they are great. The Lost Christmas Eve is really good, but Christmas Eve and other Stories has Carol of the Bells on it, their most famous tune. (Oh, The Calling has a Carol of the Bells, and that is awesome as well). So I recommend checking out The Lost Christmas Eve, and especially check out Wizards in Winter and Siberian Sleigh Ride
     
    Oh, this is funny, but that one Christmas song can be changed a little...
    You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why:

    That's right! Yesterday, I got an email from Borders giving me the name for Harry Potter Book 7. And the newspaper this morning confirmed it!
     
    Drumroll please....
    The name of the Seventh Harry Potter book is:
     
    Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows !!!
     
     
    And it is rumored to come out on 7/7/07. Let's hope it's that or sooner!

    I got woken up that early when my brother had to get up. Luckily I quickly got back to sleep.
     
    As for yesterday:
    -Breakfast (w/ Voyager)
    -Snickerdoodle cookies
    -MOCed/took pix of Avak and Matoro for contest
    -Lunch (w/ Voyager)
    -wrap little sister's gift (a Hello Kitty Calander)
    -Read Eragon
     
    Today:
    -Breakfast (w/ Voyager)
    -Played on Computer
    -Retook pix of Avak and Matoro (the other ones were bad)
    -MOCed a cool Mech with gun (actually, my first Mech)
    -Lunch (w/ Voyager)
    -Wraped little brother's gift (I can't tell now, just in case he reads this while it is up. Bug me about it and I'll remember to tell after Christmas)
    -Got online--Now!
     
    Oh, I also made some cool instructions for making a Bionicle Christmas Tree ornament. I'm about to post that topic....

    That's the time I stayed in my pajamas to today. I got out of bed at 9 (set my alarm, I wanted to do stuff). Had breakfast. Made some more cookies (to my family's request). Built Avak for said contest (see previous blog entry). Had lunch. Changed (so I could ride my bike to Home Depot for gluing Lego Bricks together, and to Barnes and Noble) Plus my mom was coming home. (did I mention I have the house to myself 8-3 this week, until thrusday!) Read some of Eragon (because I want to read the book before I see the movie)
     
    I'll try to post pix of Avak tomorrow.

    Surviving

    I went camping this weekend. The theme was wilderness survival, where the scouts had to build shelters (of sticks and leaves) in the woods and sleep in them saturday night. Lucky me, I'm on staff, so I didn't have to do that! I got to sleep in my tent, but I guess it doesn't matter because the temperature was probably the same wherever I slept. (about 30 degrees F, probably)
     
    It was fun. This was a campout where I just sat back and relaxed...er, did homework. :angry:
     
    I enjoy camping and I will be going camping every month until june, where I will have summer camp and philmont. My troop goes camping every month.

    Barraki Blog #1

    Well, I don't feel like saying much at the time, but I will be doing some posts about the barraki.
     
    There have been some commplaints, so I will make my first comment on this:
     
    I like the nuva leg in the white one's set. (sorry, don't know names yet) For some, this is a new piece, or at least they don't have it yet, if they are new. Also, I've been thining about a nuva leg as a arm for a while now, and wouldn't mind it in some different colors.
    Some call it unoriginal, I call it using resources and being different. It's not like each set comes with five of them.
     
    What I don't like is the black legs on him. I would really like to have rahkshi legs in each color. but here is lego not making any white. (don't think I'm flaming lego, they are great, I just want some variety)
     
    Well, that's my 2 cents now. I'll do more on other sets later.

    I heard that Harry Potter 7 comes out next year, July 7th. (7/7/07!)
     
    Sorry, don't have anything to back me up, but it makes sense. Perhaps Borders or B&N will know soon. And perhaps you can find a fansite that would probably know.

    Well, I built this cool space ship MOC (like 10 pieces total) and was displaying it in my room. So last night my brother takes it when I'm not looking and then tosses it to me soon after. Down the stairs. When I'm not expecting it. The whole things flies apart upon impact with the ground. Almost every piece is somewhere else.
     
    Well, I was able to get back all the pieces except one. A black slope/windshield with some cool silver lines on it. As seen here Now I'm going to have to order a replacement piece. Well, luckily a normal transparent windshield will look fine, and I have a nice supply of those. (Like, 6 probably)
     
    So, yeah, I finally was able to complain about my brother (12 years old) in by blog.

    Halloween

    Well, I decided to go Trick or Treating with my little brother and sister.
     
    I only got 1/3 of the candy I usually get, because for the past three years I've been in my friend's huge neighborhood.
     
    Well, free candy.
     
     
    I went as The Phantom Theif Dark, an Anime Character. I'll blog about him when I put up my Cosplay entry, because I cosplayed as him the other day.

    Online on saturday morning, I got an anoying board message. But Binky or somebody has made them a teeny bit bearable with those random, crazy messages. I love them, as I love random quotes.
     
    Well, this particular morning I got this message:
    "Don’t you have some homework to do?"
     
    Got me laughing, and thinking. I probably should do my homework. But, hey, being online is more fun.
