  1. And then the disappointment when they had contractual obligations to the contrary. I think Stephen handled it well in spite of things.
  2. ShenanAgain

    Do you remember

    The 21st night of September?
  3. I've been playing Killing Floor for the umpteenth time. Can't seem to get enough of it. The game's free to play on Steam until the 11th, by the way. I encourage ya'll to try it out.
  4. Have you guys heard the Japan exclusive track, Horizon? Of the instrumental pieces, I'd gladly trade Motherboard away to have Horizon on the album. I like how smooth it sounds, though it could be a bit longer.
  5. After initially being underwhelmed over "Get Lucky", I was a bit worried that Random Access Memories wouldn't be as ground-breaking as everyone had hyped it up to be. Of course, with all that hype, the album was bound to be beneath people's expectations. This hasn't stopped me from loving it to death. Once again, Daft Punk's latest album sounds little like their preceding album. It was fun to listen to just how different it was from not only Human After All but their entire catalog of music; what I heard in this album was surprising and enjoyable. The new sound might be hard for some fans to get used to, but I hope everyone comes around and appreciates it for what it is: a heartfelt throwback to years past. I myself have found it hard to get most of the album tracks out of my head. Current personal favorites include "Instant Crush" and "Touch". Although, I'm a big fan of most every song included and those I wasn't fond of I'm swifty warming up to.
  6. I was a bit disappointed with "Get Lucky" when I first heard it myself. Then I decided to listen to it as something other than an electronic dance number. The song became more glorious after that.
  7. Fair enough. The lyrics aren't that interesting to me either; they seem like simplistic "party all night" lyrics, yet I can't complain about that since it's always a party with Daft Punk. Listening to the teaser again (and again), I think I'm warming up to the robot voices. Maybe it's because I'm now associating it with the image of Daft Punk and friends dancing in front of the sun.
  8. Looked it up as soon as I saw this and, my goodness, I'm digging the sequins and instruments. I also love how much fun Nile Rodgers seems to be having both in this video and the collaborator's project interviews. My only complaint so far is that the more I hear of the rest of the song, the less I like the robot singing part. It probably flows well in the finished product but right now it sounds like it was just put in to say "Yeah, we're still electronic."
  9. Shaq Big Daddies, eh? Looks like a job for Aaron Carter.
  10. Well, this is surprising news indeed! I would have never thought that all those premier memberships would have yielded that much but I guess I was wrong. Wow! So what are your plans for the LEGO company? I think you should start with some name changes; no one has nor ever will understand what a LEGO is. Call it "Super Bloks" and I think everyne will get what you're selling. But, of course, that's not my call. I wish you well with your future!
  11. Everyone likes to get lucky. Listening to it again with headphones, it sounds more like "We're up all night to get lucky". Still pretty funky.
  12. If y'all liked that teaser, I suggest looking up the remix done by pHaZe Project. It's got me stoked for the new album. I just can't wait for those shiny helmets to be in the spotlight again!
  13. What I enjoyed about the first version was that it felt heroic and valiant, with empowering phrases like "for freedom we rise" and "team up for battle". It was like noble heroes preparing to preserve the things they'd sworn to protect. This slower version lacks that feeling for me. It's bleak and unmotivating. There's no heroics here, but more of a dirge. That has its own merits, yet it feels off to me.
  14. Do you mean to tell me that it's not socially acceptable to laugh out loud in public? You mean those people staring at me thought I was a loon?
  15. I haven't got my hands on any of them yet (aside from a Festive Sandvich :3), so I don't have any solid opinion on them. I do think their stats look interesting, though. The Vaccinator might be too complex for my little head to handle and I'd have to see how much pushback the Loose Cannon has for me to consider using it. The Rescue Ranger, however, looks to be a nice way to speed up hauling my base forward, unless metal costs are stupidly high. I'm mostly just happy that Demoman got his first explosive weapon since 2010.
  16. Doesn't having more players on defense reduce the number of robots? How did everyone enjoy the Saxxies this year? The presentation, while shorter, was still a bit lackluster for me; at least last year had Saxton Hale beating up a bear. They advertised it as "Live" which got me excited but that just meant "We'll update the page every 15 minutes". No Gabe Newell discussing the entrants, no Robin wearing funny hats... Anyway, the finalists! Most of the nominees were pretty entertaining and certainly deserved their spot in Saxxy history. Not all of my favorites won, but I can accept what they chose for winners. Except Replays. Replays were terrible this year. Still hyped for the Best Overall tonight.
  17. "Hey, guyyyyys! I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to be killing you in about ten seconds, okayyyyy?" I've had some knowledge of Slenderman before the game, but I've never really found him terrifying. This game hasn't changed any of that; in fact, it's made him less creepy for me. Granted, I've also been told I laughed too much while watching "The Ring", so maybe the problem lies with me.
  18. Y'all hyped for these Saxxy Awards? Of the entries I've voted for thus far, this year's going to be harder for me to pick a winner. I also think it's pretty cool that the Best Overall winner gets to be put on TV. Slick!I'm liking "Midnight Power", "Bad Medicine" and "One Step Ahead" especially. What favorites have you all seen?
  19. And I think that's fine. Using the spreadsheet as a jumping off point can give you a general idea of how valuable your items may be. I just find it silly that Space Marine hopped in here to tell you that you "mispriced" what you were offering because some site said so. Though I wasn't inclined to trade for anything you had, I didn't think the prices were outrageous in any way (aside from selling souls for a reclaimed).
  20. This talk about pricing reminds me that I'm not too fond of things like "the spreadsheet" trying to fix a price on things. I feel trading should be more subjective; one person doesn't consider the worth of an item the same way as another. So, no, his prices aren't "wrong", especially since he's been able to sell at that amount. My understanding is that if you're selling something and the buyer is okay with paying the cost you want, it's a fair deal. If there are no takers, you go lower. This is not to say that using a spreadsheet or whatever for general pricing is wrong but don't use it as an absolute.
  21. Traded one of my friends for a Heavy Soul. The next Pile of Curses I used had a Heavy Soul in it. I promptly returned his soul to him.The next Pile of Curses I used also had a Heavy Soul in it. This just confirms to me that the random item system hates my guts.

  23. Since no one I've been playing with seems to respond, does anyone here need a Scout or a Sniper paper bag mask? I'm looking for Soldier, Heavy, Medic, and Spy masks myself, so if you have those for trade it'd be much appreciated.
  24. Well, I'm ShenanAgain. As far as I know, I'm the only ShenanAgain, if you're wondering who just attempted to add you earlier. If anyone else cares, they can add me too.
  25. Do you want one? I have an Eerie Crate here that I'm probably not going to open.
