I want that Jules Verne book super much.
I gotta say though, I tried reading the Circle series, and I jus couldn't get into it. I don't particularly enjoy Dekker's writing style, and the symbolism was way to heavy handed. Like, more-so than Narnia.

Sweetie Belle is the cutest thing ever, forever.

Nope, measuring the weight of an object hanging on a spring using Hooke's Law and Simple Harmonic Motion.

I love Pendulums.
Have you ever seen what happens with a bunch of pendulum metronomes on a freely moving table? It's pretty cool.
-
Interestingly enough, at the Physics conference I was just at, Henry Reich gave a very similar talk on how to explain Physics to non-Physicists.
-
Technically? O.o

I bet Sleepless In Ponyville's gonna be another crazy Twi episode.

Dude!
Nice job!
There's a little trick that could really help some of the details.
Pretty much, you add some edge loops, throw in a subsurf modifier, and bring the edge loops really close to the sharp edges.
That'll help smooth out the hilt, while keeping the angles and blade sharp.
Not only that, it'll make the blade look more realistic, since nothing in real life is actually "perfectly" sharp.
You should totally do the boomerang next.

Ugh, wave functions are very annoying when you haven't taken diff. equations.

Same here, I've been trying to find the Prime Trilogy used for a while now.

Either until I get bored, or banned from the blogs for being to boring.

I swear, you guys are gonna give me some serious diabeetus.

The weather here can't decide between freezing, and scorching.

Wait, why did they think there's no gravity on the moon?
-
Physics is fun though.

Definitely teleporting.
Yay for laziness!!

Did you actually sleep in class, or not go to them and sleep in your dorm?
I was in my dorm during both. Physics is a morning class, so I just didn't get up in time.

Yeah, and Zeddy too.

Ugh, Chinchillas are terrifying.

I really like Optics, hence the laser, but quantum stuff is a lot of fun.
Yes, quantum stuff is awesome.
Also, what kind of laser? Is it a large dye/Nd:YAG laser? The lasers I work with are small, since they're diode lasers.
I believe it's a solid state Nd:YAG, but since it hasn't actually run in a few years, I'm not sure.
I do know it is fairly high powered, especially with the regen we've got as well.
The way my professor put it, the laser by itself will burn you really bad. The laser with the regen will blast a hole through you.

Cool a laser. Will you post some pictures when it is done?
And I've been meaning to ask what kind of physics are you taking? And which part is your favorite?
Personally I think quantum mechanics seems really interesting but I need to take multiple prerequisites before I'm allowed to even take a class about that at my school.
Sure, I'll post pictures.
Right now, I'm taking 101. Just kinematics, since my school wouldn't accept the two semesters of Community College Physics I took.
I really like Optics, hence the laser, but quantum stuff is a lot of fun.

What would you be doing, had you not pursued Physics?

I really need to get that book. Haven't seen the TV series and have no idea about the story, but it sounds good
Let me just give out the warning that it's not really for minors.
I don't know how old you are, but the books are fairly inappropriate.

I don't think most schools give out 'allergy shots.' I'm pretty sure you're a part of a biology department's experiment.
It's a serum I brought from home. I give it to the nurses, and they give it back.
Albeit, in a more painful form.

It uses a little bit of python, but the main idea behind the synching is found in the animation curves section. If you select "keys", there's an option called "bake sound to F-Curves".
There's a little more involved, such as getting it to spiral, and the details of specific frequencies and such. But that's the gist behind it.
