BOW DOWN.
-
is like a time capsule, lol. I'm looking back and this brings back tons of memories. Even the Disney World theme left over from Pimp My Blog 2 is reminiscent of those days on BZP... I still have the prototype ice Malum claw I won somewhere.

I made a WIP with that Malum claw prototype. Still working on it, and I'm far too lazy at that moment to take pictures. It's basically a white and light blue droid thing. Let's see if I can finish it. - Read more...

Prototype Piece
By Kylus,
I just got mine in the mail from Black Six (thanks). It's a white-and-light blue blended Malum claw! I sort of want to try to MOC with it and see what I can come up with. - Read more...

I would seriously love to see them play at Madison Square Garden next month, but the tickets appear to be quite expensive. $85 for the second level on the other side of the arena, multiply that for 3 people, and it's not cheap.
But seriously, it looks amazing.
See?

I have these two days off for Jewish holidays, making it a nice 4 day weekend. School is alright so far, if not uneventful. I swear, that first day was soooo long. - Read more...

I think it's kind of funny how TLG is doing literally the exact same things they did with Bionicle... except with Hero Factory. The latest LEGO Magazine features an HF comic. Heck, they're even trying to make a movie- the only problem is, it doesn't seem like the story is anywhere near as deep as Bionicle. I can't see this going over too well. - Read more...

I'll never change the content boxes on this blog. Deal with it and move on.
And oh snap my Premier Membership-ness is ending soon. In 2 weeks. And I doubt I'll be renewing it. That kind of sucks, because I only blog here now (mostly).

MOC. My Barnicles (which includes MOCing pieces) are boxed up but are merrily sitting right next to my MOCing table. It's so easy to just bust them out and start building again, but I just CANNOT for the life of me do anything good anymore. This makes me want to go back and try again. - Read more...

Geez, that went quick. Doesn't seem too long ago that I saw there was 50 days until I leave for Disney World. Hopefully the crowds won't be too heavy. - Read more...

Natalie Breez
By Kylus,
This set is way way way way way too good to be overlooked by all of you drooling over Jimi Stringer. I actually like it better than Stringer, no joke.
Is Duncan Bulk any good? Still haven't got him yet, and am waiting on the Furno Bike to arrive at my TRU.

I think my favorite is Breez. Something about the model is perfect- the helmet, the colors, weapons... it all flows nicely. I noticed how incredibly intricate some of the new molds are, the helmets especially. Believe it or not, I was surprised to see the Surge's arms and legs were actually silver. I always thought they were white for some reason. These sets really do pick the Agori and Stars up by the metaphorical neck and smash them to bits.
Also, my TRU had all of the HF sets except for the Furno Bike. Collectable minifigs no longer appear to be available. I read that new Star Wars sets were pulled from shelves.

See Ya Guise
By Kylus,
I'll be gone for the weekend. Heading off to another lacrosse tournament thing. Hoping to finally see Toy Story 3 in 3D after my games, as the mall it's playing in also happens to have a LEGO Store. I'm a bit upset as this Sunday is supposed to be the day my Disney Store receives Toy Story series Vinylmation. Hopefully they will still have them when I get back.
Stay classy, BZP.
EDIT: One more thing before I go. WHY DIDN'T LEBRON COME TO NEW YORK... I've been waiting forever for him to sign with the Knicks and you in one swoop of Wade and Bosh signing with the Heat hopes of signing him diminished. ;_;

Okay, so HF is actually looking too sweet to ignore. It makes me want to bust out the pieces and start mocing again. Ok, I'll probably get an impulse set or two. Oh, and...

Some tidbits:
-I have kind of "left", but am actually still lurking, like, oh I don't know, once or twice a week? Weird seeing all of this HF stuff getting reported on the front page.
-OK, I haven't really "left", it's more like taking an on-and-off "break". I suppose that's a better way to put "it".
-School let out for me today.
-My trip to Disney World is only about 40 days away. Not too bad.
-All of those Barnicles are packed away now. Very pleased, actually. Needed those things off the floor of the basement. It was getting out of hand.
-Went into NYC yesterday. Didn't expect to see it open, but I was happy to find out that the Rockefeller Center LEGO Store started soft opening.
Went in and checked it out, got an issue of Brickjournal, picked up two collectable minifigs (went in blindly without my barcode cheat-sheet, so I got a cowboy which I already have but luckily got the robot I've been looking for.)
The store itself has a bunch of cool NYC-inspired models to look at, AND the LEGO Sea-Serpent that comes out of the water at Downtown Disney in Disney World (but in this case it weaves in and out of the ceiling. Really cool.)
-Saw where they were putting in the new NYC Disney Store in Times Square. On the same side as TRU, down a little ways.
-Happy to hear that Disney Stores are beginning to sell Vinylmation... because the mall that is a fine-minute drive from me is getting them. B)
As part of the Imagination Park movement hitting many Disney Stores across the nation, stores are getting totally revamped to include crazy technology and stuff.
-Summer lacrosse is pretty crazy. Had my first tournament last weekend. A little difficult to play in such heat.
-I've decided against buying Hero Factory.
Will I cave and buy a small one at some point? Maybe, but I really feel that I'm done with buying those types of LEGO. That being said, I'll still probably be buying select LEGO themes, such as Architecture and Toy Story.
-Speaking of Toy Story, I still haven't seen TS3 yet.
I better get my butt to a movie theater right now and see it. I really need to. First movie in a long long time that I've been aching to see.
-Is that it?
-Yes
-Yes, I believe so.
