  1. I've been a miner for a Heart of Gold.

  2. "I am Steve, Protector of Stone! I fight against evil! It is my destiny to be a minor supporting character that gets two lines of dialogue in the entire story!"
  3. Yeah, it was. Check this out: Meet what I call Tahonua, Toa of double Vahis. This was concept art of the Vahi before Bionicle was released. So was there going to be a, I don't know, Toa of Time Judging by the fact that he has an Onua claw and a Tahu flame sword... I'm pretty sure this is just a concept. But do you know what was more likely to happen than a Toa of Time? DooHeads. All I can say is I'm glad they never went with the Vahi as a main mask. Looks rubbish when worn. Well... depends on what head color you use, and if it goes well with the eyes and body colors... it actually looks really cool on certain MOCs. Oh, I'm sure it could be done. I just think it's too bottom-heavy for a figure as sparse as a Mata or Nuva.
  4. WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT?! D: I didn't say I wanted it! Just that it's totally gonna happen...

  6. Just watch, he'll be killed off in two or three years to kick off G2's dark-and-gritty arc.
  7. Excellent idea. From what I've seen those pieces would be a pain to keep track of.
  8. I'm not opposed to it, I just don't like what's been done with it thus far. I certainly wouldn't mind hearing a Black Keys or Kongos or Muse song used; in fact I'd likely be pretty enthused about it.
  9. I think it could be possible. The Krana that Lewa wore gave them its power, and though they are two completely different creatures in two different storylines, I still think the Skull Spiders could transfer their power to their host if they took over someone. (If they can even do that to begin with.) I don't have any proof for it though. Speaking of Lewa and the Krana, I will be very dissappointed if we don't get a scene this year where Lewa gets possessed by a Skull Spider and Onua has to save him. That would be a phenomenal throwback scene. All the nostalgists would go into fits of happiness.
  10. 2006, directed by Guillermo del Toro with Mike Mignola as lead artist.
  11. I'd collapse with delight if they went back to that and rerecorded it to make it fresh for G2.
  12. If you mean "back on his own adventures", then yeah, that might take a revival or reboot of the theme. If you just mean you want him back as a minifigure, there's a new Johnny Thunder minifigure in one of this year's LEGO Movie sets, in his classic costume but now with a slightly modernized look! WHAT I still want him back with sets, but this is glorious news. Johnny's back! Yep! He's in this set! I saw it, and my wallet is now trembling in fear at what I'm thinking of doing...
  13. A well-deserved selection! Simply stunning creation by Roa, and Helsephyr is delightfully creepy, as Gatanui said. Congratulations are in order all around!
  14. Most songs created especially to advertise a film or franchise or event tend to be extremely generic in sound; I've noticed it even in songs by bands I love. Pre-existing songs work far better, because they don't have the single-minded, engineered quality that promotional songs tend to possess. I'd rather hear an old Imagine Dragons song used for a BIONICLE advertisement than a track they wrote especially for it.
  15. Thanks! Yes, I was thinking the same thing, I really want to use that piece in a MOC somehow. Couldn't figure a way to work it into this one, but maybe next time...

    300 Post Special

And it's a MOC! How much better does it get?
  17. Stuck in my dorm room, far from all my sets except the newly-acquired trio of Keetongu, Vahki Zadakh, and Toa Onewa. Here's the result. https://flic.kr/p/qbvVbP https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7505/15871564559_070ac5ecfb_b.jpg And yes, he turns at the waist. Also this is my 300th post. ...more than five years after I joined. Huzzah! Album linkishness. Edit: Large image linked. Please keep posted images in BBC to 640x640 pixels, about. -Wind-
  18. ...and I'm on the verge of making my 300th post. Pretty lame.
  19. You want something different? Alright, let's bring in Shinedown, Stone Sour, Imagine Dragons, or Avenged Sevenfold. Never seen a Bionicle music video with a Shinedown or A7X song. Dunno why, some of the songs by those 2 are perfect. Imagine Dragons has some great songs as well. Yeah, Imagine Dragons' new song "Warriors" would be a good fit. "Battle Cry" would also be a good one, even though it was already used for Transformers: Age of Extinction. Again, those are all bands or genres that have been used to advertise films and toys and whatnot many times before; as far as licensed music goes, I'd rather hear something a bit riskier and more unique. In all likelihood we'll end up with something like what you're suggesting, because BIONICLE is musically marketed mainly to the vast swaths of pre-teen kids with whom Imagine Dragons and the like are usually popular, but I think movies like Guardians of the Galaxy have proved that you can go in a much different direction musically and be hugely successful. That's the kind of chance I'd like to see them take, if they decide not to focus on a more orchestral, mythical sound (as they have so far).
  20. "I am the very model of a modern Lord of Skull Spiders-- My picture may have been leaked by disgruntled LEGO insiders-- It's hard to get the Mask now I'm opposed by Toa outsiders, But I've an evil army of arachnids with big incisors..."

    FINALS

Well said. It can depend on the prof, though.
  22. Me too ugh! ...I believe that's simply what is known as an "accent."
