I don't know about you guys, but for me, it straight-up crashes. It doesn't just hang for a while and get better. It hangs for a sec and then gives me an error report. Would it help development if I sent you a copy of the error text?

 

Yes it would. Also, check in Mac's console utility, there could be additional information there.

I'm using Mac OS X 10.10, which is a 64-bit operating system, and I'm running the one and only app file contained in the current MNOG3D_PreAlpha_MAC.zip ZIP file.

Tren Krom, I'm running the same system as you and experienced the same problem. Usually if I just wait a bit, it unfreezes and doesn't happen again afterwards. The team's working on it tho!

What I thought you said was that the game crashed/"unexpectedly quit".

Yes, all you need to do is wait a second or three and the game will run fine again.

The temporary stuck period is most likely caused by the engine getting its assets straight (technically, if this is all done in the

loading time you wouldn't have such a problem, but its still very early and its not optimized).

I ran the Mac PreAlpha build on Yosemite at 1080p Fastest settings, and every time I move the cursor in front of an NPC or interactable object, the game crashes.

Ouch! Thats a new one.

I'll need some info. Whats your OS? What version of the game are you using (32bit or 64bit)?

That's fairly Common Knowledge, but to be clear. Glatorian can't use mask powers.

 

I suspect that the GBs could modify them to be able to use them, though.  

 

But can they use a helmet made from kanoka to have powers? I'm aware they might have physical problems with wearing them, but what about their mental discipline?

 

I'm aware that 'Glanohi', or helmets of power, don't exist. But if they did, or were made by a post-Spherus Magna society, would glatorian beavle to use them as anything more than head covers?

Wouldn't the Kanohi Ignika effectively be able to modify any lifeform's or organic material's genetic structure, including that of a Glatorian or an Agori to allow them to tap into Kanohi based powers?

That makes an interesting idea for some fan-fiction

As you said yourself, BS01 lists three other extra letters for Danish, so that makes six extra letters in total. But I'm a little skeptical of how canon these letters are, especially since the Å apparently has two different forms... (depending on whether you check BS01 or BIONICLE Wikia) It's not impossible there'd be two different forms of the Å, but I think it's unlikely the Story Team would go for that. I think these letters were just made up by designers as they needed them and weren't really checked with the Story Team.

Bionicle doesn't have a language. Not like Klingon, or Elvish. Its simply the language you know written with different symbols.

So, how will you manage that when the country's alphabet has a few different or extra letters?

To us they might not be canon. but to any Scandinavian they are.

 

 

Remember how ridiculously OP the Mask of Life is? and how the Vahi is kinda weak compared to it? That is because the G1 Vahi (being half a mask) doesn't have its full power.

It isn't weak compared to it. It just isn't alive, and no mind exists that can make use of its full potential, unlike the Ignika's own consciousness.

Is there going to be interaction/quests with the Nuva and Takanuva? That would be sick!

There well be quests that you can take on given by a multitude of characters.

That would most likely also include a few quests given by the Toa Nuva and Takanuva.

Its through quests like these that you would be able to... unlock things.

TTV asked one guy before the panel and that's when he said he didn't want to call it a reboot, and brought up the Mask of Time. After the panel TTV asked the guy again as they were now confused, and he brought up Mask of Time-related stuff again. TTV never asked about the Mask of Time. It was always that employee, whose name I can't remember. And besides, Bionicle 2015 is a reboot both ways. It's just a matter of whether it's a hard or soft one. Star Trek 2009 is almost entirely a hard reboot, except that old Spock is there, making it soft.

 

 

EDIT: I don't really like TTV, and yes, they're not the most reliable news source, but this video explains the facts fairly well...

It was already discovered that TTV manipulated the answers and questions to make it sound like that.

I don't recall hearing about the mask of time in regards to gen 2.

The Toa being the same would be cool; maybe their adaptive armor kicked in when they landed, but I think this is unlikely.

 

NYCC interview with the artists, one of the two (main artists I believe?) said something like this:

 

"Oh, and you remember the Mask of Time? How it looked like only half a mask? Well, you're gonna see the whole thing. The whole mask"

 

And thats about it.

 

And when asked if it was a reboot, he said "I don't want to call it a reboot..." and when asked if it was like Star Trek 2009, he said that was a great example. And that's why the whole Vahi thing exists. Oh, and they showed a slide at NYCC showing "the Temple of Time" as they called it. That slide is not on the official Facebook page. It feels like Lego is hinting at something. But for now all we know for sure is that there will be a Mask of Time in Gen 2, and it will probably be located in the Temple of Time. We also know that the Toa have had their memories wiped. So that's why this theory (aside from the fact the Toa will have lost their memories again) makes this theory plausible. But we can only wait and see to know for sure...

 

Really? because at the very beginning the presenter says something like:

"Alright, so before we all begin, let me just say this: Its a reboot. Its now official guys. So all those rumors and speculations can be put to rest"
