Vote: Burnmad.
As for why the drifter chose me, its probably because i am destined to be the bestest mafia player ever. Either that, or he needed cannon fodder. I know which is more likely.
-
Wow! Wasn't expecting that. I thought we were screwed. I guess i can say i won my first mafia game, even if it really had nothing to do with me.

Should I even bother with Lord Skull Spider? He looks kind of generic to be honest...
He looks pretty awesome to me. He is clearly very technic based, with some sort of grabbing function, not to mention his awesome pieces. He has at least six trans-orange technic beams, six glatorian necks, and six beast claw things! Plus he has a golden skull spider piece. He also has the most parts of any of the first wave sets, yet is priced as a medium set!

Regardless of weather the vahi stuff is true, we do know one thing. There is a temple of time on Okoto, which was briefly shown at NYCC. The fact that it is missing from the facebook slides suggests something rather fishy about the whole situation. Considering that the slide also showed the toa's arrival, it isn't a stretch to believe that the temple of time/vahi has something to do with the toa's origins.

I would like to join at position 7.

I can see a blue pin.
0/8 I do rate.
On a more serious note, didn't black tohunga feet get released with Nuvohk Va?

Honestly, considering inflation, I'm happy to ditch canisters if it means we get price per part ratios almost the same as 15 YEARS ago. Thats crazy.

Not to mention all of the imposable onu, ko, and le matoran with non-existent purple, teal, and sand blue parts.
-
As for the feet, it appears to be onua's claws with the center one removed and the other two spread out a little. The wheel barrow appears to be fully custom, with the handles resembling technic beams.

Mask packs seem unlikely, because if they are planning to do them, why would they include the most desirable varients in the main sets? Golden masks would be the main draw.

As of yet, all story details come from the legend animation, bios on lego.com/bionicle, and comments from the team.
As such, you havn't really missed much, other than that the protectors are the leaders of their villages, and the toa's masks are elemental.

i remember responding a topic just like this so i'm just gonna recycle that post
Kanohi Evo, Mask of Infanticide
Now that is just wrong. That isn't even funny. At all. As i said above, I think Evo's helmet looks like a futuristic Kakama.
The joke is, in breakout, Evo literally suggested the Infanticide of Toxic reapa's offspring, but it was rejected because the offspring might attack.
-
Conversely, on a hero MOC I built lately, I used the noble akaku, and it looks rather fitting as a hero helmet.

What is the best way to render an LDD model? The LDD to POV converter is outdated, and the tutorial Black6 linked earlier is for Ldraw.

Dang it. I should've voted and broken the tie! I guess the fiasco with Voltex earlier made me too paranoid to do anything that might be suspicious. Oh well. Hopefully I'll do better on my next game.

meaningful contribution: It has taken us 8 villager-aligned roles to take out 2 mafia. If this pattern continues, then there will only be 7 people left by the end of it, not factoring in weather conditions.
Keep in mind that rider of kikanalo was killed by someone and he was mafia. It is possible that there is more than one evil faction out to get us. With all the unknown deaths and lack of role reveals it seems likely someone is trying to kill us all.
*cough*Voltex*cough*
All in all, we need to be wary, and be more careful tomorrow.

I don't really think the system/constraction line is too important. The purpose of the rule to to ensure people are building constraction figures, rather than using system built bodies or limbs. Using system parts for deitails is fine, which is why the limit is 25%.

Vote: Voltex
Not much to go off of day one, but voltex is the only one who seems suspicious.

While ideally it could be better, what lego has shown so far blows my realistic expectations out of the water. Gear functions were the last thing i was expecting, yet they did it, and did it well. The new animation style seems to capture that lighthearted yet serious feeling we got from mnog. While people are complaining about is different, i think its good. If you don't change anything, then you just have what we already got. The past was great, but it is good to be getting to experiance a whole new adventure. One thing to remember is that we arn't the target audiance, yet lego is making a great effort to make it appeal to its older fans too, something they never bothered with with chima and other themes.
Overall, i optimistically look foward to what the year will bring.

Don't forget Axilus. That's three people dead.
Here's hoping the killers don't manage to team up, or they could wipe us out fairly quickly with a 3 to 1 kill ratio.

So I have about five Mocs I wish to enter. Should I just make just one topic with their galleries, or should I make separate topics?
-
As we are allowed to submit previously posted creations, are we allowed to post a moc for critique before submitting a final version?
-
A few questions:
1. So we can enter multiple villains? Is there a limit?
2. Would pieces that have been slightly chewed on (Unintentionally of course, from when I was young) be counted as modified if they don't effect color or connections?
3. Will the winner's model be used in any way by Lego?
4. Are we submitting an entry picture, or should it be a gallery?
5. When the prizes say Bionicle heroes, does it mean the masters?
6. Do LLD creations need to use only preexisting colors?
