  1. Name: Charlinia

    Species: Toa

Power/Weapon 1: Elemental control of Lava

Power/Weapon 2: Mask of telekinesis shaped like a Rau.

Power/Weapon 3: Massive Mace (It's so huge it should probably be classified as a maul, but whatever)

Appearance: She is a red and dark orange Toa with maroon armor.

  2. I'm glad to see you guys like it so much! When I was making it, I tried to work off the original set's strengths, and replace the weaknesses.

The original set's color scheme was surprising when I sat down and looked at it. Other than the mask and part of his feet, he featured almost no black, opting for grey, red, and gunmetal. So when I made mine, I nixed the grey, and focused on black and gunmetal, with highlights of red.

The legs were easily the weakest part of the original. My version's legs aren't anything to complex, but they get the job done and look good.

I imagine a movie style Kraahkan might look better, but unfortunately I lost mine at some point down the road along with my gold Avohkii. :( Ah well. the trans glitter one is cooler anyway.

  3. Mask Maker: Looks pretty much spot on. I'm glad he has elbows. Better yet, his hammer uses two of those trans blue gun pieces from the iron-man ultra build as the knob. I never got queen beast, so I'm glad to see those chima scalloped armor pieces.

Skull Grinder: A bit spindly, but he has the best color scheme, and has some great parts, including plenty of armor add-ons and axes. Plus he comes with Ekimu and MOC, so whats not to love?

Skull slicer: A bit boney, but those trans-green limbs are calling to me, and you get a whopping six, as well as three swords and other nice pieces. The lack of a new mask is a downer. Even a white recolored spider mask would've been great.

Skull basher: Looks pretty good, But I'll reserve judgement until I can see how his function works. If it is side to side, the horns look like they would interfere.

Skull warrior: A pretty basic one, but the bow looks cool, and he has no real cons other than the rather skeletal construction. He is also the first contraction set to make use of the clips on those feet, so that's something.

Skull scorpio: I don't get it. He is at the same price point as LOSS, so why was loss so good, but scorp so... iffy looking? He looks to have quite a few nice parts, but the function looks very tacked on and bad looking. The claws look pretty good though.

  4. Unlike the rest of the toa, pohatu has definatly changed the most. He is still as reliable as ever, but he seems calm and practical rather than friendly and good hearted.

These episodes are among the best, but i still had a few issues with them. For one, when Tahu confronted the skull spiders, he was on fire and shooting massive waves of flames. Why cant he shoot fire at loss? For that matter, the toa mostly only utilize their weapons. Bionicle gen1 had an issue with charactors forgetting their powers (particularly with the kraata and piraka), and its disapointing to see that gen2 has this same issue.

As for LOSS, i don't think he is gone for good. As pohatu noted, there was a mask pedestal on the bridge. I think the mask of skull spiders is somehow responsible for these new skull villians, and loss, while not the strongest, is the leader of this years villians. After all, he can't be gone, cause we still need to get lewa skullspidered!

All in all, these animations were good, but i hope we get a lot more elaboration on the first wave's events in the books.
