  1. Preliminary voting will run until Tuesday, December 24th. Three entries from this poll will advance to the finals! Vote for your favorite question for the following answer: Answer Category 2: "That's odd; when I was an OBZPC, that never happened. Try logging out and back in again." Entries: 1. I recently became an OBZPC, which I assume stands for Old Bavarian Zealously and Pretentiously Caroling, and all of a sudden my member group changed to Outstanding BZP Citizens. I'm pretty sure this is just coincidence, so is there any way to change me back? 2. I just became an OBZPC, and the Copper Mask talks to me. I'll try to post a comment in the blogs and it chuckles at me. It has a little mouth and it makes chuckling sounds. Kinda like a muffled hmp-hmp-hmp. Real deep. Kinda like Morgan Freeman. But less voice-dripping-in-honey and more condescending-laugh-of-a-potentially-victorious-Batman-villian. But when I start typing, it starts criticizing what I write in the voice of Jim Carrey as The Mask. It makes me really insecure. It says stuff like "You're gonna post thaaaaat? Well, if you wanna, then go right ahead, Mister!" It also sings me to sleep with salsa music, but I assume that's a standard perk of being OBZPC. Is there any way to stop it? 3. Ever since I became an OBZPC, I keep getting this popup box that keeps telling I'm the only one who can stop the "Doomsday Machine". I asked some other members (who weren't OBZPCs) and they said they had never seen that popup box. I kept ignoring it but today's the last day I can ignore it or this "Doomsday machine" will go off. You were an OBZPC once, what do you think I should do? 4. After hacking BZPower to increase my proto, I got a legitimate proto boost for reporting a news story and was notified that I became an OBZPC. However, now my username and usergroup are pink instead of orange. Is this a glitch, and can it be fixed? 5. I recently became an OBZPC. Earlier this morning, in fact. Anyway, when I went to my settings to check out all the new features, all that was there was a link that said: Downgrade Account to Banned Member I tried to leave the page, but every link I was about to click turned into the same message. What should I do? 6. When I first logged in as an OBZPC I was excited to finally see a Copper Komau next to my proto bar. However, instead of the Komau, there was an Infected Hau, and all the posts read "I am nothing."Hapori's gone too, replaced with the same Hau. Is this... normal? 7. Recently I changed my name to "OBZPC" and now the forum is telling me that I have to wait 90 days before I can change my name back. What's with this? 8. So I just became an OBZPC. Unfortunately, not everybody on this website is bowing before me and obeying my every whim. How can I fix this? 9. I recently became an OBZPC. Previously, I had no trouble with logging out. Now, when I click the "Sign Out" link in the upper-right, a dialog box pops up that says, "Now you can never leave." What do I do?
  2. Preliminary voting will run until Tuesday, December 24th. Three entries from this poll will advance to the finals! Vote for your favorite question for the following answer: Answer Category 3: "What you're seeing is intended. However, please refrain from entering any value greater than '5.'" Entries: 1. What do you not like about BZP? Oh, and will you be at BFVA next year? 2. How come, when I try to put in my age, my computer opens up into a massive portal into the depths of space-time, allowing me to visualize everything that happened, ever? And why are there creatures from works of fiction here (Old Ones, Toa, Orcs, Giant Mecha, etc.), too? Please write back as soon as possible, because I'm still trying to find a way back to Earth. 3. This never happened before, but when I try to enter "Batman" in my Awesomeness Rating profile field, a dialog box pops up warning me to enter a value between "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet" and "Black Six". Is this a bug? 4. I was in COT when I saw a topic for Megabloks. I tried to click on it, but a pop-up asking how much I liked Megabloks on a scale of 1 to 10 appeared. Is something wrong with my account? 5. So, people keep trying to enter my gate without my permission. I've decided to hire additional gatekeepers to help me. On the recruitment section of BZP, it would glitch out when I tried to enter "10" in the "How much MANpower?" field. Help? 6. So when I was editing my profile, I found a field marked "Years I have been a BIONICLE fan:," for which I entered "11." However, when I clicked "Save Changes," an error message popped up saying "Try again, nerd!" with the "Years I have been a BIONICLE fan:" field, where I entered "11" again. But the same error message popped up again! I'm really confused and a little insulted. 7. So today I was reading through BZP and a popup window opened asking if I was too old to be protesting the cancellation of a plastic toy brand. Later, another came up asking how mamy years it has been since I was 7-14. What do I do? 8. I logged onto BZP this morning and noticed a little text entry field and the words "Tentacles! How many would you like?" at the bottom of the main forum page. I entered "3" and 3 yellow tentacles started wriggling and reaching up from the bottom of the page. They follow me through the site. Is this some sort of new gimmick to attract members?
  3. Preliminary voting will run until Tuesday, December 24th. Three entries from this poll will advance to the finals! Vote for your favorite question for the following answer: Answer Category 3: "What you're seeing is intended. However, please refrain from entering any value greater than '5.'" Entries: 1. So I decided to take this weird nerdy survey to rate Bionicle characters on their power from 1-5. Unfortunately, there seems to be a minor glitch with the program. When I entered "OVER 9000! !!!!" in Toa Lhikan's rating, I got an error message telling me to re-do the question. I entered the same correct "OVER 9000! !!!!" and once more the program did not accept it. Please help me figure out what to do. Is this supposed to happen? How can I solve this problem? 2. This morning I got a message when I attempted to access my profile. It said "Ring, ring, ring, those Christmas Bells" and had a little pull down menu of numbers 1-10, and it played a song with the number of bells you selected. It was really cute, but when I tried to make it play a song with 7 bells, I got an error message that said "NO. BAD MEMBER." and was logged out, and I couldn't log back in for the next 6 hours. When I finally did log in, I was greeted by a little message at the top of the forums that said "Now be on your best behavior. Remember, Santa's watching you." What's up with the site? 3. I keep getting an error message when I say that I have 6 fingers on each hand in the survey... is that supposed to happen? 4. Everyone keeps making math jokes based at me. The latest was this: "Your IQ is X+-5=0. What is X?" What do? 5. While scrolling through BZP's forums, I came upon an online dating topic, where BZP members can rate other BZP members from a scale of 0-10. Naturally, I grew curious, and went to this topic. After coming across a fine-looking lady, I decided to rate her. However, when I typed my rating in, instead of my number being posted, it went to a "404 Error" box. Is this a glitch? Does this normally happen? 6. I tried logging in to my BZPower account today, but it said I was locked out and to try again later. After 5 minutes, I grew tired of waiting and attempted to log in again. At the top of my screen, instead of saying my name, I saw the name "BioMaster5012". Clearly, this was wrong. I visited my profile, and it was empty. I went to my control panel, and saw that there was only one thing - a dial going from one to eleven, with a picture of Kongu next to it. Was this supposed to happen? Should I change the value? 7. So I just got a message from the site stating that it needed me to chose some other members to go with me on an amazing adventure through the forums of BZP that is so great that if one were to even think about it for a second, he would go into a coma for a month. How many members should I chose to go with me on such a great journey? 8. I was trying to take a LEGO Survey linked to by BZPower's home page. I came across a question about how many off-brand building blocks sets I own. There's this dangerous looking guy I keep seeing peeking through my window and I'm pretty sure he works for LEGO. I want to be honest, but I'm a little scared at what will happen, any ideas? 9. Recently I'm seeing a new system enabled to recommend proto amounts to members. However, I was confused when a dialogue box popped up on my profile asking me to set my own proto level. Is this how the system is supposed to work?
  4. ...are likely those entered in this contest. That's okay, though; we're here to have fun and be ridiculous by entering the craziest and hopefully wittiest questions possible. Q&A Contest #2! Things will work the way they did in the last contest. That is, you will be given three categories, each corresponding to a given "answer." Your job is then to come up with a question that fits the answer, but with all the necessary creative liberties. Puns, wit, onomatopoeia, metonymy? I dunno. But just be awesome and have fun. Here are the three answer categories: 1. "Well, if you click on that, you might end up banning yourself. Please contact Black Six if you want access instead." 2. "That's odd; when I was an OBZPC, that never happened. Try logging out and back in again." 3. "What you're seeing is intended. However, please refrain from entering any value greater than '5.'" Each category will therefore have a winner! Procedures: You are allowed one entry per day! You may therefore enter as many questions as possible into as many categories as you like to increase your odds of winning. However, the competition will also increase this way, so pick a strategy accordingly! Please use the following entry form: Member name: Answer category: [e.g. 1, 2, or 3] Entry question: Please post your entries in this separate, pinned topic. This topic will be kept open for discussion, questions, and the like. This means that entry topics in Q&A are not allowed. I want to keep this forum fully functional during the contest. Some members might have actual questions, after all. Entry Requirements: Please keep your questions relevant; i.e., no nonsense strings of letters or anything of the like. Your job is to be witty and creative. To that end... There is no minimum or maximum length for questions. But keep in mind that brevity can be either your ally or your enemy, depending on what you're entering. General Rules: Again, one entry per day per member. Which category you choose each day is up to you. Please do not edit your entry without permission once it is posted. If you need permission to correct a typo (for example), please contact me, Velox, or Sumiki. No mass advertising on BZPower. That is, sending out PMs to random members in hopes of bettering your chances is not allowed. Please report any such PMs. Off-site, well, we really can't control what happens - but play fair. BZPower's general rules are to be followed! Respect each other. I've seen what can happen in contests. Please be fair to your fellow contestants. If you have any concerns, please PM me, Velox, or Sumiki about it; do not post in here about it. If you have any questions, then you are free to post in this topic or to PM any of the staff listed above. Entry Period, Voting, and Prizes: Let's give Saturday, December 7th until 11:59 PM Eastern, Saturday, December 21st. Voting will take place in polls. Preliminary voting should run Sunday, December 22nd until Tuesday, December 24th. Final voting should run late Thursday, December 26th until Saturday, December 28th. Prizes are to be determined. But they should be awesome. Maybe autographed selfies. Hahahahaha no you're probs getting free LEGO stuff. EDIT: Each winner will receive a free set #79000, "Riddles for The Ring" from the Hobbit line! Courtesy of me, no thanks to full parking lots at the mall. If you really want an autographed selfie, well, I guess I can make it happen. Contest Staff: Please PM any one of us if you have concerns, questions, or need to edit an entry. Host: -Windrider- Assistants: Velox, Sumiki And they're off!
  5. Greetings and welcome humanoids, bipeds, quadrupeds, reptilians overlords, gas-based psychomagic lifeforms, and all other intelligent and pseudointelligent life in all relevant dimensions! The LEGO Alien HuntersTM need your help! As you know, this wildly successful line from the LEGO company features the adventures of a team of warriors with only one mission: defeating the alien menace! The team is a group of highly trained space fighters with specialized weapons and skills. Unfortunately defeating the alien menace isn't so easy without a little backup, and that's where you come in! The Alien HuntersTM need vehicles. They need a home base. They need weapons. And you're going to give them to them. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is this: Design a set that could realistically be released by LEGO for the Alien HuntersTM line. This could include vehicles, playsets, weapons, or whatever you can come up with. Maybe they need a dropship to land them in enemy territory? An all-terrain vehicle to traverse the alien worlds they travel to? A cannon to blast those ugly bug eyed meanies to kingdom come? Or just a simple hover bike to hop over to their favorite interplanetary lounge after a hard day's alien killfest? You tell me. The winning designs will be picked by a team of judges Me, Darth Vader, and Tufi Piyufi. The top three will each win a Galaxy Squad set and a cameo in the comic BZPStuck. In addition, the winning designs will be used in an upcoming project. Thematic considerations: Although you're welcome to include conflict in your designs, designing elements or vehicles for the alien menace will be considered TREASON and won't be considered in the judging process. (It's not going to disqualify you though don't worry, we just won't consider the alien components). Custom elements or decals are in fact, accepted. They are not required. This is just to allow you to really create the sense of a new theme line. Minifigs are not required. There are no piece limits or build restrictions, but the intention is to create something that could reasonably be released as a set. This covers a pretty wide gamut everything from the small bag sets to the gargantuan 100 dollar builds you'd see in any other lego line ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Entries begin being accepted as soon as this topic is posted, and will stop being accepted on Saturday, December 28th at 11:59 P.M. EST. You are more than welcome to enter MULTIPLE ENTRIES, (up to three) but you can only win ONE PRIZE. To enter, simply post a link to your .jpg or .gif entry picture in this topic. Your entry post in this thread should appear as follows: Entry Name: Entry Pic URL: Topic URL (if applicable): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A running tally of entrants will be updated daily IN A SEPARATE PINNED TOPIC, which will be posted shortly after the first entries are received. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Judging Process: Judging begins December 29th and ends January 5th Entries will be judged on: Technical Ability (How well is it built?) Aesthetic Quality (How good does it look?) Thematic Cohesiveness (How well does it fit the theme?)* Each judge will determine a score out of 10 for these criteria and average them for an overall score. They will then average their individual picks to find an overall winner. *This just means it's a spaceship. If it would fit in any given Lego space line, it'll fit here. If it's a covered wagon with a horse pulling it or a firetruck, it won't. It's kind of a gimme category. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rules: 1) Your entry may not have been published prior to the start of this contest. You may make your own topic before posting in the official entry thread, but you must create a post in the entry topic before it is closed in order to be officially entered. If, after posting your entry anywhere on BZP but before officially entering it (including the blogs), you modify it and then enter it, you will be disqualified. You may only start one topic for your entry. Please post only one main pic in this entry thread and a link to the rest of the pics in the gallery on your image host (most likely Brickshelf, Photobucket, or Flickr). You can do pictures as normal in your own separate thread. If you need help posting pictures, please see this topic. 2) Don't PM the contest host unless you have to. Ask questions in this topic and the host or an assistant will answer it. 3) Painted parts are ALLOWED. No non-LEGO parts. All other LEGO parts are fair game. Pictures in which the appearance of the MOC has been edited in Photoshop or other editing software are also prohibited. If either method is used, the MOC will be disqualified. The background may be edited, as long as it does not alter the appearance of the MOC. 4) Maximum three entries per member. You cannot switch or modify models mid contest. Once you have entered, you may not "un-enter" your models and enter new or modified ones in their stead. You may opt to bow out of the contest for whatever reason but you cannot reenter under such a situation. If you get disqualified for any reason, you will not be allowed to reenter with another MOC in that contest. 5) Any flaming will result in disqualification from the contest. Competition is good if you keep it clean. Everyone play fair, NO WHINING, no insults. I reserve the right to DQ any entry at any time for any reason. 6) Absolutely, positively NO CHEATING! Anyone found to be cheating or even suspected of cheating will face immediate disqualification from this contest and will be banned from participating in future contests. They will likely also be banned from the site. Mods know this information, so you're not fooling anyone but yourself by thinking you can get away with it. We run a check on people with multiple accounts too, which is an offense that results in banning from BZP entirely, aside from the contest... DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. 7) No "this is unfair" posting. Some people have more parts, money, time, gigs left on your hard drive, etc than others. That's life; we each have to do our best with what we have. Any excessive complaining may, at the judgment of the contest runner, disqualify you! 8) Discussion is encouraged. Feel free to ask questions about models you see or about the contest in general. 9) The contest is open to all BZP members, and voting is open to all BZP members to participate in even if they did not enter an MOC. "Advertising" your MOC is fine by making a signature or avatar reminding people to vote for you, but mass-PMing is frowned upon and will just get you disqualified. Advertising your MOC in someone else's thread is also a major no-no. Spamming may result in proto loss or even post-count reductions, so don't do it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prizes: The winner will receive Galaxy Squad set Warp Stinger 70702. Second place will receive Galaxy Squad set Swarm Interceptor 70701. Third place will receive Galaxy Squad set Space Swarmer 70700. All three winner's entries will be making appearances in a future project, and if the creators wish they also have an open minor guest spot in the comic BZPStuck. These sets might take a little while to get to you, fair warning. I am buying them myself and donating them for this contest. So what are you waiting for?? Get building guys! Can't wait to see what you come up with. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  7. The year is 5300. Human beings no longer have to die. They can transplant their brain into the miraculous eternity suit. In just thirty minutes the skull is opened, brain is removed and then put into the control capsule at the top of the suit. The person sees through the glass using a complicated telepathic field discovered and refined in the late 4000s. They possess the strength of 50 men and the are indestructible. Now the universe shall receive this wonderful gift of immortality and strength. Get ready to receive your blessing. We're coming for you. When I read the contest I immediately thought of the cyberman from Doctor Who. Obviously the story was inspired by them. I had to take apart 2 big and awesome MOCs to build this guy, but it was worth it. The head is made of a lot of axles stuffed into a cockpit piece. This is the first contest I've entered so any criticism is appreciated. I hope you enjoyed this wonderful ungodly abomination. Bye and prepare for upgrading.
  8. So! This is something that wouldn't happen for several weeks. First of all, we already have the lovely BBC Contest going on, and even then we need to do some planning first. The first Q&A Contest was tons of fun, albeit a bit hectic. I would really like to do another. For that reason, I have created a poll to gauge interest. In addition, feel free to use this topic to throw out contest theme ideas. (Minions, PM me to claim your contest assistant spot. Non-minions may apply as well. : P )

  10. RPG Forum Text-Based RPG Contest 29No theme for this contest - do your best!Any questions about the theme may be asked in this topic. Here's how these contests work:[*]The contest will be run every three (3) months, or four (4) times a year.[*]All members are welcome to enter the contest.[*]Each member can only enter one (1) Text-based RPG entry.[*]The only exception to this is that BZPRPG and RPG Contest staff will not be permitted to make entries.[*]There will be three winners selected in every contest. [*]The winners will be the three RPGs with the most votes after one or more rounds of voting (depending on the number of entries).[*]Whether or not a given RPG wins or not, it will be allowed to run in future contests, with the below conditions and restrictions. [*]For and RPG that lost a contest, the creator must make an attempt to alter and improve their entry before entering it in the next contest.[*]If an RPG has won four (4) consecutive contests that it has entered, it can not enter the next four contests. It does not, however, have to be altered before being entered again after its break, although the creator can do so if they desire to.[*]Example: A RPG wins two contests in a row. It is not entered in the next contest. It is entered and wins the fourth and fifth contests. At this point it cannot be entered into the next four contests.[*]Other restrictions as a result of other rules or administrative action may prevent a member from submitting an RPG. [*]At the end of the three-month interval between contests, if an active RPG does not win again, it will be closed. [*]If a former winner wins again at a later date, the creator of the RPG can choose to continue in the old topic where they left off or start over again in a new topic.[*]If the creator or members of a winning RPG break the RPG forum rules, that RPG will be closed. [*]The next runner-up from the previous contest will be allowed to run for the remainder of the term.[*]The offending RPG will not be allowed to participate in the next contest.[*]This system is designed to be more fair than the TBRPG approval process has been in the past, so absolutely no complaining. The creator of each entry must provide at least: [*]A brief introduction to the RPG.[*]A description of the setting, the time and place the events occur.[*]A history of what has happened leading up to the current situation.[*]The characters and creatures involved. [*]Does it follow the actual Bionicle story or take place in a setting of your own creation?[*]Is there an outline on where you plan for it go?[*]Will the players be allowed to choose the direction the story takes?[*]Is there an ultimate goal or quest, or is it merely a world for members to inhabit?[*]Requirements for those wishing to participate in your RPG. [*]Will members be taking the role of existing characters or characters you have created?[*]Can they make their own characters? If so, what sort of restrictions will be placed on them?[*]What sort of equipment, masks, stats, etc will members get when they begin?[*]Rules determining how players will interact with the environment and other characters. [*]How will the winner of battles be determined?[*]How will members buy and upgrade their equipment?[*]Will members level up? How will they gain experience? 11. Congratulations to: [*]Masquerade - Parugi[*]Era - Gravity[*]The Arsenal of the Ancients - The FourteenthThey are the winners of our twenty-ninth Bionicle RPG Contest! They can start their games as they please. Remember, as with the last contest, if the RPG has no posts for three weeks, it will be closed and the next runner-up will be allowed to start their RPG - so go play!As per usual, RPGs from the previous contest will have a week or so to wrap up. I'll probably be jet lagged from BrickCon a week from now and will probably forget to close them until later in the week. Thanks to the data loss, the old RPGs can be considered closed. The new RPGs will have additional time to play since they have to restart. Thanks to everyone who entered and voted!
  12. Alright, just in the nick of time I've finished my entry for the contest! I give you... Mighty Morphin'! Part 1Part 2 Just barely got it done, I hope you all enjoy and can help me make it all the way!
  13. My entry in the Titans and Monsters contest. Always loved doing revamps, and the Shadowed One was on the top of my list. All my old boxes had been stacked away since '11, but when I noticed this contest, I simply couldn't miss the oppurtunity of a last hurrah. I haven't been on the new forums all that much, so I'm kinda lost on the coding system, I'm just gonna do this the easy way: Full MOC [http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Vohon/TSO/downloads.psd.jpg] Head Detail [http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5918988] Legs and Tail Detail [http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5918990] Feedback and criticism are most welcome ! Machronicle

This is my entry for the Titans vs. Monsters contest. Enjoy! * * * Mata Nui, a spirit in control of a giant robot, leaped over a volcano, and changed that to a midair flip at the last second. "Sir, you are being incredibly irresponsible." A Glatorian pilot warned. "His name was Sam, and he wasnt a fan of Mata Nuis antics. Focus on your mission of reuniting Spherus Magna." "Do I have to do that right now?" Mata Nui said, landing smoothly. "Relax. I have 43,000 years. Besides, if you beings back on Spherus learned how to relax and have a little fun, like the aliens on Cetari IV, then you might be able to stop killing each other and making planet-wide explosions. He smiled, cutting a flat section of rock from a nearby mountain." "Sir, dont you think you should-" "This planet is uninhabited. I checked." Mata Nui carried the stone slab up another nearby mountain, taller than the other one. Snow swirled about him as he casually posed, his left foot holding the slab against the rock. "Incredible vantage point. This planet makes Spherus Magna look small." "Which means that planets bigger than Spherus Magna can exist. This is exciting! New knowledge to report back to the Great Beings." Sam elbowed Dan, his fellow pilot. "Come on, Mata Nui discovered something." Dan groaned and rolled over in his sleep. "I have no idea why I agreed to this mission." Mata Nui ignored them, holding his arms up and bending his knees. A slight leap, and his was sliding down the hill on the stone slab. Wheeeeee! The ground rumbled. The giant robots head looked nervously at the volcano, and the Great Spirit lost concentration on what he was doing. He fell backwards, splaying his hands out to catch himself. The stone slap kept sliding down the hill, into the maw of a giant black-and-purple being with yellow eyes. It reached out with its jaws, snapping, and Mata Nui rolled out of the way. He fired a palm-mounted laser at it. "Mata Nui!" Sam exclaimed. "That being could be a valuable source of information for the Great Beings!" "Sorry," Mata Nui said. "Reflexes." The laser cut into the being, showing pale pink flesh. Howling in rage, the monster stood up and clocked Mata Nui on the chest. The giant robot soared through the air and landed with a thud. Mata Nui got to its feet, brushing himself off. No sooner than that then the creature hissed straight in his face. "Can we like, fly away now?" Dan said. "I really would like to live." "Sensor readings indicate that this creature eats planets, inhabitants and all, and uses Energized Protodermis for fuel." Mata Nui said, backing away. "That's why this place is uninhabited - the people fled." He turned to the creature. "Sorry to disturb your home. We'll be leaving now." The black creatures scales rippled. Then its arm reached out, grabbing Mata Nui's arm and pulling it into his mouth. Mata Nui fired his palm-mounted laser again. The creature roared but didn't let go. "Um, you said that the creature uses Energized Protodermis for fuel?" Sam said. "We have much Energized Protodermis on board." Mata Nui caused earth to grow out of his arm, blocking the creatures jaws. Flames erupted all over the robot to try to break the creatures grip, but to no avail. Its jaws bit down with a sickening crunch. "Hull breach! Hull breach!" Sam yelled. Dan groaned, putting his hands over his helmet. Mata Nui kicked the creature. Black syrupy stuff covered Mata Nuis foot. That was when he remembered that his body was still covered in flames. Angery, the creature opened its jaws to reveal a badly mangled arm. Mata Nui quickly extracted the appendage, which was covered in black slime, only for the creature to punch him in the face. Unfortunately, the things fist stuck to Mata Nui's face. Water gushed over Mata Nui in a giant wave, stretching out the adhesive. Mata Nui felt himself being lifted up and slammed down the creature was beating his head into the ground for fun. His sensors indicated a smile. A bolt of plasma severed the connection. The giant robot hit the ground. "Ideas?" Mata Nui said. "Camoflage system?" Sam suggested. "That usually works." Mata Nui nodded. A few seconds later, a heaving mass covered his face. The Bohrok emerged quickly, cleaning up the mess. The creature paused. It seemed like he was fascinated. Thats when Mata Nui kicked him in the gut, sending him flying with his gravity powers. The Bohrok cleared his vision, and he stood up. The creature sprawled on the ground, dazed. Mata Nui kicked him again. "Stop," Sam murmured, annoyed. Dan sighed in relief. Using the power of Gravity, Mata Nui hurled the creature into a nearby star. "May you never terrorize any planets or people ever again." "How about us?" Dan complained. "Do we qualify?" "Sure," said Mata Nui. "Anyway, procrastination was fun, but we have a lot of work to do. Sam, I want you to run over the observations on this planet while the Matoran fix my arm. He paused. And when youre done with that, run though the Cetari I observations." "Sir, we have never been to Cetari I." "Well, that's next. But first, I really need a nap. He lie down on the planets surface. Look at those stars. Do you think we can visit them all?" "Maybe, "Sam muttered, "when you finally decide to grow up." The End
  15. Alright, so, here's my entry to for the "Titans and Monsters Contest". The title, as you've already seen, is "Out of the Darkness (The Toa of Light). ^Link^ Imagine the Toa of Light versus Makuta, a battle of life and death, and light and shadow. That is the main inspiration I had with this piece. Hope you enjoy! Comments and Constructive Criticism is always appreciated. -Rez

  17. What, you thought Fan Created Games didn't get contests? Who can say that our awesome developers can't get in on the action? Huh?! Check out this topic in the General Discussion forum for more information. Here are the rules and regulations that pertain to entries in the FCG category. -- Fan Created Games Rules Category Host: EmzeeAssistants: Kakaru For this section, we will not be asking for finished games, but ideas for potential games! Come up with a fun game idea that follows that guidelines below and post it here no later than August 9, 2013 at 11:59 pm Eastern Daylight Time. Some of you might notice if you remember the rules that typically, game ideas aren't allowed to be topics. For the sake of this contest, that rule will be lifted IF and ONLY IF the topic is for an entry into the contest, and ONLY during the entry period. After that, entry topics can remain open, but no new topics that don't follow the usual FCG rules can be posted. 1) All game ideas must be your new and original work and cannot have been presented before, whether on paper or as an actual game or game demo. Also, game ideas cannot be direct copies of other titles (e.g. “Bionicle version of [popular game]”). Inspiration is always fine, but the idea here is you see your ideas.2) Entries may not be modified once posted unless you have instruction to do so to fix a rules violation, or if you have approval to correct a minor error. All such requests should be PMed to Emzee.3) Each entry must include the following: [*]An objective of the game (the “win” condition)[*]A genre (First Person Shooter, Action-Adventure, etc.)[*]A detailed overview of the game controls (keyboard keys, joystick support, etc.)[*]A detailed description of your game’s mechanics or features (i.e. what can the player do?)[*]A description of your game’s artistic style[*]A description of the story and characters (if applicable) 4) Game ideas should be creative, unique, and fun. Keep that in mind when coming with up with your entry. 5) Be sure that LEGO and Bionicle games are posted in Fan-Created Games, and non-LEGO and non-Bionicle games are posted in OTC. To enter a game, post in this topic: Your member nameThe title of your entry, containing a link to your entry topic (don't know how to link? Just type your title, highlight it, and hit the link button in the post formatting tools above) -- There will be LEGO prizes that we'll be handing out to the winners, so get your creative juices flowing and make sure your entries are original and detailed. Remember, the deadline for entries is August 9, 2013 at 11:59 pm Eastern Daylight Time. After that time, we won't be able to accept your entry. Thanks for reading, and have fun! -Emzee-Kakaru
  18. I finished this MOC literally five minutes before I found out about the contest, and knew that this woulde be the perfect time to showcase him. So now, without further ado, presenting: FUSION MACH 5 (Working name Mega Ultra Chicken.) Front Pic Back Pic Side Pic Size Comparision Pic (With bonus elbow) In case you're wondering about the story, I'll fill you in. So during the giant struggle for control of BZ Koro, five Monsters knew that alone, they would quickly be overwhelmed by the much larger Titans. The Monsters, (whom I have named Blade Strider, ComBat, Skull Dragon, Punch Dummy and Slash Dummy) decided to fuse together into one massive beast, which I call the Fusion Mach 5! This powerful beast has dental hygiene so amazing that it's teeth glow in the dark, it shoots eye lasers, and has the ability to launch energy balls from it's right wrist. On top of that, it has almost impenetrable armor, huge strength, and very sharp blades. Seriously, do not hug this thing. Or maybe do. Natrual Selection and all that. OOC Trivia: Yes, this thing IS actually made of five separate MOCs, each originally designed as standalone creations. I then got the fabulous idea to make something huge by slapping them all together. Throw in a couple of hours and a few extra pieces, and you get the largest, most time consuming thing I've ever made. All in all, it probably took about a week for me to make this entire thing. I also have to give credit to my mother for the Mach 5 part of the name. I just came up with the Fusion part. Originally, I didn't even HAVE a real name for it, so I just called it 'Mega Ultra Chicken.' (20 Brownie Points for whoever gets that reference.) Sorry about the grainy pictures, by the way. I lost my camera and so had to take pictures with my iPod, which is [sarcasm]always a lot of fun[/sarcasm]. I also had nowhere else to take these pictures but my bathroom, so just ignore the stuff in the background.
  19. My entry for a "Before & After Brain Infection" contest on another site. I built both models with the help of my twin brother Lyichir. In their natural form, Koboldon are tunnel goblins with a diet of metallic ore, which they mine for with their powerful, shovel-like claws. They are reclusive, but generally not aggressive. But once the evil brains landed on their home planet, many were mutated into grotesque, hulking fiends that burrow beneath cities, reducing buildings and infrastructure to rubble. Can any hero stand up to the might of Koboldon's radioactive power claw? More pictures: About the MOC: Lyichir and I came up with the foot design for a much larger model a few months ago, and we decided a bestial foot design like this would be perfect for this contest. The head was designed in an effort to create a brain-infected head that looked as detailed and fearsome as any of the official 2013 villain faceplates, but which had a unique character of its own. Lyichir had the idea to use Transparent Bright Green (the same color as the brain) to highlight areas most heavily affected by the mutation, and I designed the power claw with that in mind.Comments, questions, and criticism are welcome! Hope you enjoy this MOC! Edit: Second image was a good bit over the file size limit of 100 kB, so I replaced it with one of the next smallest size. -Wind-
  20. The votes are in and it's time to congratulate the winners of our twenty-eighth Bionicle RPG Contest: [*]Sunken Cities - The Fourteenth Doctor[*]Trapped in a Map - Toa Kovolta[*]The Voyage of the Requiem IV - Toa Levacius ZehvorThe winners are free to start their RPGs at their leisure. Winners from the previous contest will have a week or so to wrap up, should they choose to do so.Thanks to everyone who entered and to everyone who voted and answered the questions about the future of the RPG Contests. An overwhelming number of you wanted to see us give other RPGs a chance should any of the winners become inactive. Taking that into consideration - for the winners of this contest, if the RPG has no posts for three weeks, it will be closed and the next runner-up will be allowed to start their RPG. We'll see how this time period works out and reevaluate during the next contest. Also, should a runner-up get to start their RPG, they will still have to enter and win the next contest to continue. Again, we'll see how that goes and possibly change it in the future. I'm hoping none of the RPGs get inactive, personally. The majority of you also want to see the RPGs last longer and have fewer contests per year. I will be mulling this over but am not announcing any changes to the timing of the contests right now. Most people voted to keep just three winners for the contest, but there was a sizable group that wanted to increase it to four. Definitely something else to think about for the next contest. Finally, things were very split on the topic of contests versus judging. This surprised me, honestly, but it's good to know. For the time being we will keep running contests but I'll try to keep the results in mind. Thanks again everyone! Hope you had fun.
  21. Flash Fiction Marathon [Bionicle Topic :: Entries Index] With the success of last year's Flash Fiction Marathon, here we are again with another one! Once again, you are to run a marathon. A marathon of short stories, or, more appropriately, flash fiction pieces. For the next ten days there will be ten themes. Five will be OTC-themed, and five will be Bionicle-themed.Sound like something you’re interested in? Then make sure you read the following: Contest Rules and Important Information Each entry MUST be under 750 words in length. This is flash fiction. One new theme will be given out each night. Each theme will be given out around Midnight, EST, every night for 10 daysThe contests will alternate between BIONICLE and OTC. The first contest will be BIONICLE, the second will be OTC, then going back to Bionicle and so on.OTC entries are not allowed to be Bionicle. That's what the Bionicle themes are for.For each theme, contestants will have 48 hours to enter – so, if it’s a Bionicle theme, you will have until the next Bionicle theme is announced (as there will be a OTC theme in between there) to enter your story; the themes will overlap. After the 48-hour entry period, the entries will be placed in a poll for you – yes, you! – to decide the winner for the day. At the end of all 10, the 10 winners will be pooled together and judged by judges for a final prize. It is very likely that an extra prize will be given for those who enter all 10 challenges, both OTC and Bionicle. If you are going to post your stories, do so in the correct forum; OTC stories belong in OTC, Bionicle stories belong in the Short Stories section of the Library. All entries must adhere to BZPower's rules and guidelines.Your story must be new and never before posted on BZP. You can certainly have been working on your entry before this, but it must be posted on BZP after the start of the contest for it to be eligible.Keep it PG-13-ish appropriate. So no overly gory descriptions, excessive violence, sexual content, inappropriate content, et cetera. You cannot edit your entry once that theme's entry period is over. So if you post your story on the first day, you have another whole day to edit. If you post your entry last minute, you will not have much time to edit. The polls will be going up the night that the theme ends.If your story is not posted in this topic with the correct format, your entry will not be entered into the contest.Do not use unnecessary formatting -- see more in the "How to Enter" section. ---------------------------------------------------- How To Enter: There will be two main topics, one for Bionicle (here) and one in OTC (this one); make sure you post your entry in the right one. If you are entering a Bionicle theme, post in the Bionicle topic, not this one. To enter, please use this form:Member Name:Theme:Word Count:Story: NOTE: Do NOT link to your story. It is fine if you wish to post it on BZPower, but for entering this contest, we ask that you post your story in this topic. 25. Jazbay is the name of some plant in Skyrim. Always thought it sounded like some sort of bird species. ----- ----- Back Opposite Angle LXF ----- It took some doing to get this within the range of 75% technic parts, but I managed eventually. Overall, I'm extremely proud of the way it turned out. The stand is nothing special, though I can provide pictures and/or an LXF if anyone's interested...Thoughts?
