So tomorrow will be my last day at home. After that I will take a flight across the country and spend the summer at the new job. I'm almost done packing. I just have a few things to do last minute. While I was packing today, though, I was getting emotional. It's not like this past year has been a thrill for me. I lost my job, lost my best friend, and I lost my mind (which, let me tell you was not a thrill). Sure I'll miss my cat's and my folks and friends, but honestly? I can't think of too many happy moments from the time I've spent here. I've felt for a while that I've needed to leave, but now that it's actually happening I feel anxious. It's strange. But it's going to be okay because this will be a good thing. I will be surrounded by nature, I'll be meeting new people and hopefully I can lose some weight. I won't be at home which will be really nice because it hasn't felt right since Jewel passed away. Most of all, I'll be working again and feel like I have a purpose. I'm honestly not happy when there is nothing to do. I really need this. Here's to moving on, I guess.

Alright, so a number of you may remember a few months ago when I posted about my custom forged life sized bronze Vahi. Well I'm planning to visit my boyfriend in the states this weekend, and we might be attending Brickfair (Virginia). As such, I would like to bring the Vahi with me, but I'm nervous that in crossing from Canada into the US, the border guards might give me trouble. I don't have room in my two allowed pieces of luggage to hold it, so I'd likely have to wear it as I usually do, like a pauldron: So I guess my question then is, do you think I'll be okay crossing the border with this, or would they try and say it is, or could be used as a weapon?

On May 15th I may be making the 8-hour trip to Charleston, SC, to see my oldest brother graduate from his military training, and after visiting for a couple of days I'll be returning with my belongings (PC & speakers & Midi keyboard & other things that I've missed dearly). I mean it's probably going to happen, it just depends on the condition of my parent's car. So I'm really amped right now and just wanted to share with someone! One or two or none of you may have noticed that my activity around these parts has dropped almost entirely over the past month or two. I still frequent BZP and the blogs every day, and hopefully this place flares up around August when the skull gang is unleashed, so I'll feel compelled to participate in discussion again. I had a dream this morning about Bionicle sets. Next year's wave had been released, consisting of underwater-adapted Toa that looked pretty much identical to the Mahri, except in the new oddly-shaped boxes. There were also Turaga, and I collected them all. The interesting part of the dream was that I was underwater, in this magnificent dark blue sea filled with wreckage that had been inhabited by friendly mer-people. It was one of those dreams where I spent the day wishing that it wasn't a dream...it was just so cozy. I am also rewatching Lost again. I think this is my third time watching the show. Every time I rewatch it, I discover new stuff that makes me giddy and excited. Little things, like Kate's toy airplane. It was in safety deposit box #815! A few days ago I read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I'm ashamed to admit that it is the first book I've read in over a year, but it reminded me that I love reading, and since then I've also read Ender's Game, and have some more HP books in the mail. I think I'll give The Wheel of Time a shot in the near future. I know little about it, but I've heard some outstanding reviews. Oh and my little brother bought a bass guitar. For at least 4 hours a day (but usually longer) I have to listen to him struggle to strum the same four melodies over and over and over and over...it's quite agitating. That's about it. A little general update, for anyone interested.

The mysterious Transformer known only as the Timegate Traveler appeared on Cybertron one day. Nobody knows where or when she came from. She appears to hail from a future faction succeeding the Autobots, but no one can be sure. She appears to have limited control over time, and can speed it up or slow it down, or supposedly even travel through it if she taps into sufficient pure Energon. She wields dual tachyon blasters and her alternate mode is a Cybertronian hovercar. Vehicle mode Robot mode With tachyon blasters More pics and transformation in the Gallery This was my first attempt at making a G1-style Transformer, and I think it turned out well. C&C appreciated!
