Ballom Nom Nom
FlickrI don't really have too much to say here that isn't already in the Flickr set, but this basically came about from me wanting to use a bunch of Pick-a-Brick pieces. It's brown and chunky, and uses some cool Exo-Force stuff too. I also spent some time using Photoshop to create a scene with the MOC in it. Enjoy. ~B~ Edited June 24, 2014 by -Windrider-
Taipu1
I was trying to pull off this wooden ship kind of look when building the other day, but I gave up. This thing looks really sweet. The barrels with the axel connectors are fantastic. I feel perhaps the reds a bit lost in it though. I'm not certain, but I'd be interested to see what it would be like if the trans red was replaced with something like trans blue or green. Wish I had these kind of skills when it comes to making system ships though. Or that many barrels. Kanakalackin
Very... chunky The shaping on this looks very nice, and the use of barrels for guns in ingenious. Unfortunately, I do not have comparable glowing bits in those colors. But they do match the cockpit, which was what I intended, so perhaps other colors might look more out of place. The barrels came in a Pick-a-Brick cup, actually, as did most of the sand-brown. I do appreciate your comment, but if you're looking for someone with true skill in making System starships, Nannan Z's your man. I'm just a beginner in this after so many years of making stuff with Technic. Very... chunky The shaping on this looks very nice, and the use of barrels for guns in ingenious. Thanks! I like the barrels too; they make good engine thrusters and gun barrels. ~B~
cerebralTurbulence
Nicely built! Is it weird that I like the base? Quote Knight of Mind Rem tene, verba sequentur.
Makuta Luroka
That design is lovely. It's slightly reminiscent of a snow speeder due to the slanted wings. I also really like the way you used barrels as guns. However, I think what's best about it is that impeccable color scheme. The brown, grey, and tan are not exactly easy to pull off, especially considering the theme, and I think you nailed it.
Steve the Squid
I know from making a couple of little ships like this that's it's not very easy to make a nice, original shape that flows nicely; but for beginners, chunky is a good place to start! The color scheme is cool, but I think that the neon yellow on the stand is very distracting. I think that normal trans yellow or clear would be better there if you have it; anything to keep the eye on the focus of the picture, the ship!
