IC: Fehron: So what is our mission again?

IC: Ardoku"Mission? Mission is actually quite a strong word. My TASK is to escort this gentleman..." Ardoku points at Kranuka. "...Safely to Po-Koro. You how ever simply joined in, and I guess that means you are also escorting him." The Toa looked around. "Well, on to Po-Koro..."--------------------------------------------------------- IC: Dackelus (The Shade)After Valaria left for her room, the white-clad Toa walked up the stairs, greeting Agni... "Hello again, going to bed?" He waited a bit in front of his door, waiting for an answer...

I'll see ya tommorow morning."Volin took of his apparel and layed down on his bed, closing his eyes and soon falling asleep, snoring.OOC: Looking forward to our encounter Cadias :D

IC(Ga'mal and Mef)

"If you say so, Ghar-Knel," replied the Ga-Matoran. I'll be done here soon and we will head out to Ga; don't you worry." The Matoran leans down and kisses the Vortixx on his left cheek. Now he's really going to think I'm in love with him."That's for not dying on me," joked the Matoran before turning back toward her bed. Ga'mal lies down on her bed and rolls the covers up to her chest before turning to Ghar-Knel. "We had better get some sleep. I'll try to sell as many goods as I can tomorrow than we'll leave." She turns over on her side-still facing Ghar-Knel-before closing her eyes."I promise.""How rude," mumbles Mef before turning toward The Shade and Agni. He walks over toward them and eyes The Shade while saying,"Why don't you head on to bed and let us get some rest. It's going to be a busy day tomorrow and we all need our rest."-Mef Man

IC: Ghar-Knel didn't like it when people kissed him. It was unsanitary in his opinion. But, to be polite, he wiped it off when Ga'mal wasn't looking."Well, good night," he said, lying down, pulling up the covers on his bed. "And, uh, I promise not to die on you again." He smiled weakly.Oh! His cigarette. He almost forgot about it. He put it out on the nightstand and fell asleep. Tomorrow, he would learn how to play Kohlii while Ga'mal was busy. He had always wondered how that sport worked.Other than that, his thoughts didn't wander on the kiss Ga'mal gave him. He just assumed it was what she intended, an innocent "thank you for not having your guts explode all over the inn" kiss. His mind went blank, and his consciousness drifted away from him.

OOC: As am I, as am I.IC: VenenI spent a while thinking, but gave up. It was rapidly getting dark, and I was tired. I'd resume the search tomorrow morning, and sleep on the problem. An answer would probably present itself in the morning, if not, I did have a backup plan.I found a passable inn, spent a few widgets on a meal, and got a room. I had enough widgets to suit my needs for a few weeks, but I'd need more to launch a successful business. I fell asleep peacefully and quickly, as if I wasn't about to carry out a task most would dread.

IC: Ghar-Knel was having another dream. But it was different. It wasn't the magic-induced nightmare The Rel had cast upon him the other night. It was his subconscious acting up. He didn't feel the tightness in his chest as he did with The Rel's conjuration (apparently, that's a word :P ) of horrors. He stood in a glade, obviously close to Ta-Koro. Ga'mal and Tairel were standing by a pond. Just standing and looking into each others' eyes. It almost made the Vortixx cry. So peaceful. So right. Then he awoke, to his disappointment. The dry heat of the morning filled the air. He looked over at Ga'mal, who was still asleep. Ghar-Knel got up and looked out of the window of the inn. Why were people so complicated. He wished people were as simple as his rifle. Insert the magazine, pull back the cocking bolt, pull the bolt forward and fire. He wished that dream wouldn't have ended. It was perfect. But that was irrelevant. The assassin quickly scrawled a note and left it on Ga'mal's nightstand. Gone out to the Kolhii field. Figured I'd learn how to play. G-K.Then, he exited and walked down the dusty town road to the Kolhii field.

OOC: I'll go ahead and say it's morning, as well. But, anyone else is free to say it is still nightime.

IC(Ga'mal and Mef)

Last night..."Come on, let him have his sleep," started the Toa of Earth. "You can talk to him in the morning." Mef leads The Shade away from Agni, knowing the Toa of Fire was ready to sleep. As was the Onu-Toa. He was getting exhausted and was ready to lie down.Mef leaves the two beings then procedes to his own room. He shuts the door behind him and locks it before taking off his armor again. Now in his body suit, the Toa lies back down on his bed; weapons still nearby and ready to be grabbed.Next morning..."Mister Gukko, you're sure Tairel will come once I wish for him?""Of course, Little One."Ga'mal looks toward the Magical Rainbow that was in front of her."I trust you, my bird-friend."She nods at the being casually before turning toward the rainbow."I wish for Tairel to be here with me. And that he will love me.""That's two wishes, but I'll make it work.""Thank you, Mister Gukko."Ga'mal looks toward the rainbow as a bright light starts to shine from the center of it. The light grows and grows until it was so bright the Ga-Matoran had to shield her eyes. Then, to her surprise, there stood Tairel. Why was I suprised? Mister Gukko said it would happen. The Matoran walks toward Tairel and him to her. Mr. Gukko waves good-bye to her as he slowly starts to fade away; as does the rainbow and other surroundings until it was just her and Tairel near a pond. They simply stare into each others eyes; as if words would be an injustice to the two of them. In a nearby glade, her Vortixx friend was watching the two of them. But, Ga'mal didn't mind, she didn't even see him anyway.Suddenly, the Vortixx disappeared and it was just her and Tairel. "What should we do?" asked the Matoran. The staring was starting to bore her and she was guessing it was doing the same to him."How dare you speak to me like that after the fight," replied the Toa of Fire. And, oddly, the Toa reaches for his sword and brings it to her throat."Mister Gukko! Help!" cries out the Matoran. "Why did you lie to me?" she yells, but, he was nowhere to be seen. Coward.Tairel laughs menancingly before firmly pressing the sword against her throat."Help me Mister Gukko!"The Matoran looks around the empty room. She clenches her teeth as she looks over toward Ghar-Knel's bed, fearing she had woken him up. But, oddly, he was gone. Ga'mal looks down to the lamp table to see a note. She reaches down and grabs it."Kohli, huh? Wonder what a Vortixx playing Kohlii looks like..."The Matoran sets the note back down before looking down to the alcohol that was still in the ice chest."I've about had enough of alcohol," she mutters before picking up a bottle and popping the top off. She guzzles down a few sips. Ga'mal sets the bottle down on the small table. "But it's so good!"The Ga-Matoran sits up in her bed, then steps out of it. "Better get to work," she mumbles as she walks toward the door.Mef sits up in his bed, a bright smile on his face."Time to get Valria some weapons, eh, Old Boy?"The Onu-Toa rises to a sitting position before glancing around his room. He spots the pouch of trinkets, now filled with more trinkets after he had done the small job. Mef also spots his armor and starts to place the plates on one at a time. After completing the long task, he straps his weapons on to himself and heads out of his room--only to meet Ga'mal. She looks toward the Onu-Toa, smiling.Maybe he'd be able to buy some of my goods."Good morning, kind Sir.""Good morning," replied the Toa of Earth, nicely. He smiles at her briefly before he tries to walk past the Matoran. The Matoran stnads in front of him as she says,"I was wondering if you would be interesting in purchasing a few of my items? I have a small caravan for goods that I sell across the island."Mef smiles as he thinks about the items he needed to get for Valria. "You wouldn't happen to have a few weapons, would you?" asked the Toa."Yes, of course. If you'll follow me downstairs, I'll show you my inventory." OOC: Songs used for inspiration: Blue Jay Way (played twice for dream), For No One (for the next few paragraphs), I'm Only Sleeping (for rest of Ga'mal's first part), And Your Bird Can Sing (for Mef's second part), and I Want to Tell You (for first meeting of Mef and Ga'mal).-Mef Man

IC (Alex, in Syyge's body, outside Po-Koro prison):IC (Henkka, in Voi's body, outside Po-Koro prison):Before Henkka could think of something, Alex spoke. "We have knowledge of things that exist far beyond the shores of this island. We know great secrets of the world, and why wouldn't we? We've been all over this huge world, in different times. There is nothing you can ask us we wouldn't know the answer to."Henkka gulped. Alex had just made a big promise. Sure they knew a lot of all kinds of stuff, but that didn't mean there was nothing they had to learn."Just ask", Alex taunted.

IC: VolinVolin woke with a loud yawn and stretched his arms. His bed looked as if a storm had wrecked it but it didn't bother him. He equipped all of his gear and left his room to see Mef talking with someone."Morning, Mef. I figured I'd go on a quick morning stroll so if the others ask, you'll know about it."Volin made his way down the stairs, had a quick breakfast and exited the inn, taking in the fresh air and a good load of sand. He coughed and spit out whatever sand had got in his mouth and began walking."I hate the fricken desert..."

Last Night...IC: Dackelus (The Shade)"Hehe... yeah, you're right." He went into his room, and as soon as he had locked it, he turned his gauntlet off. "Oh, those gullible fools. They will soon regret ever having crossed paths with me." And then, The Shade sat down on his bed, patiently waiting until sunrise...Next Morning...IC: TirokkThe Toa of Iron opened his eyes. He was done, his armor was completely refitted, all gaps in the armor were now replaced with the finest chain-mail, other parts of the plate-mail were also replaced with chain-mail, mostly to allow for more movability. He rose up onto his feet, the last night having been spent into all but comfort, his back now ached... but it most certainly was worth it. He opened his door-IC: Dackelus (The Shade)The Shade rose up onto its feet, put its gauntlet on, and then went out of his room in the disguise of Toa Dackelus. He noted Mef and a Matoran talking together. "Morning Mef, just going down to have some breakfast..." He strode down the stairs, and joined Volin in a meal. "Morning..." He muttered to his 'friend'.

I.C. Kranuka got off of the Ussal taxi, and started towards the open desert."Po-Koro is this way, I believe."The trio walked on in silence for a while. If you could hear the sun beating down at this time, it would be very noisy. Suddenly, there was a rumble beneath the earth. It gradually got louder, and louder, until finally a Sand Tarakava burst from the ground. It had an infected Kanohi."Tarakava!" Kranuka shouted. The Tarakava rushed towards the three.

IC: ArdokuThe rumbling had prepared the Toa. As the Sand Tarakava bursted from the ground, Ardoku threw a bolt of plasma directly at the beast. The beast was quick, it dodged the attack and went straigt on for the attacker. "Look out!" He yelled, as he flung him self out of the way. The Tarakava hit the ground, but then rose up again, only to get hit by one of Ardoku's Twin Pickaxes, right in the face...

IC(Ga'mal and Mef)

Mef looks to Volin and nods at him while he walks past the two of them. "Morning," he says before turning back to Ga'mal. "So, you have weapons for sale?""Yes," starts the Ga-Matoran. "Cutlasess, knives, crossbows-""Morning Mef, just going down to have some breakfast..." "Morning," Mef replies before looking back to the annoyed Ga'mal. "Please, go ahead."Ga'mal looks around the hall as if expecting another being to arise, but none came. "As I was saying, crossbows, bows, swords, darts, you name it I have it."Mef continues to follow the Matoran downstairs. They quickly grab a small piece of meat from the breakfast buffet and walk outside to Ga'mal's ussul cart.Ga'mal lifts the tarp off of the large cart to reveal her massive inventory. "Choose anything you'd like and I'll give you a good price for it."Mef smiles as he looks over the inventory. "I'll take a quiver and a crossbow. As small as you can get."Ga'mal nods her head before picking up the crossbow and quiver. "It does come with eight arrows as well and it costs 150 trinkets."The Onu-Toa opens his eyes wide as he looks at Ga'mal. "Do you think you could give me a...uh...discount. I have a handy cutlass I'm willing to trade and fifty-something trinkets here for these weapons. I can also get more if it's not enough, but it may take a while."The Matoran looks at the cutlass that Mef begins to unstrap. He hands her the heavy sword, her hands quickly bend down as the sword wacks into the road. She manages to lift it back up and inspect it.I can always scrap it for some trinkets... "Well, it's you're lucky day, Toa. I'll take it."Mef smiles brightly before reaching for his sheath. "Take this too, it's a deceint sheath that's got to be worth something." He takes out the pouch of trinkets and hands it to the Matoran as well as the sheath."A pleasure doing business with you," says the Matoran after taking the items and handing the crossbow and quiver to Mef.The Onu-Toa nods his thanks before walking back to inside the hotel. On the way in, he spots Volin spitting out the dust that was flying around the two of them."It can't be that-" but, immediatly, dust flies into Mef's mouth. He spits it out before walking inside the hotel. He wasn't kidding...The Toa grabs a small breakfast patries-commonly found in Ga-Koro; so this was a treat in Po-and walks upstairs. He leans the crossbow and quiver against the wall next to Valria's door and waits for her to wake up.I hope she'll like. I spent all of my money on this thing...Ga'mal smiles as she places the trinkets inside her pocket and places the cutlass and sheath with her inventory. She covers the items up with a tarp before walking back inside to eat some breakfast. The smell of fresh eggs and meat was strong, but not overwhelmingly so. The Matoran found the scent heavenly, especially because of the growling stomach she had."Time to eat," she mumbles before taking a plate and grabbing a few items of food. She then sits down a few tables away from The Shade.-Mef Man

IC: VenenI had woken up early. There was no point in sleeping all day, and I wished to finish my business here as soon as possible. I had no idea where the target was, or who he was, assuming it was male at all. Nex had been excellant at restraining that information. For now, I had only one good idea about tracking down the being.I walked through the streets, asking people at random the same question: "Excuse me, but do you know a 'Volin?'" The answer was always the same: "Sorry, I can't help you."After a few hours of fruitlessly searching, I spotted a Toa leaving an inn. It couldn't hurt to ask. "Excuse me, but do you know a being named Volin?"OOC: And thus it begins....

OOC: It does indeed. Give me your best shot :PIC: VolinFor some reason, a Toa walked up to Volin, asking him if he knew himself. Volin pondered whether it was safe to answer the question and deemed it so but was still confused why a complete stranger was searching for him."Why yes, my good man, I do happen to know this Volin you're talking about. He's dark grey, wears some wierd armor, a trench coat, a backpack, a kanohi in the shape of an Iden and he happens to be standing right where I'm standing. Pleasure to meet you."Volin rubbed his eyes tiredly and stared blankly at the being in front of him."So, how can I help you?"

IC: VenenI smiled to myself. I had found him!I extended my hand, assuming a friendly and outgoing personality. "It's a pleasure to meet you! I've been sent by my master to offer you a business proposition." Then I looked around, as if something had just occured to me. "You wouldn't happen to have someplace a little more private, would you, my good sir? You see, it's a bit of an inside deal, and if someone overheard us it would displease my master greatly."A thought occured to me, and I smiled brightly. "You wouldn't happen to know him, would you? Turaga, odd patterns on his armor? If not, don't worry! He's rather secretive, which is why he requested that we get off the street before speaking."OOC: I shall! :P

He hadn't answered my question... it had been very serious. I waited until we stopped."It's quite the deal. As I said before, my master is very secretive. He's starting a trading operation, and asked me to seek you out. I'm not entirely sure what he's hiring you for. Maybe armed escort, or something similar. The pay is remarkable."I lifted a hand to casually brush some sand from my shoulder. "But you have never met a being or heard of someone that matches the description I gave you? Not once?"

IC: VenenI nodded, slightly troubled. What had this being done? Or was it simply random?"Oh, he is very secretive, as I said before. I wish to know more about him, that is all. My hand, finished brushing sand from my shoulder, slowly dropped. It closed carefully around the handle of the fatally poisoned dagger.I emitted a low whistle after chatting about his wages. Hopefully, it'd keep his attention on my head. "I wish I made that much a week! You won't have to work long!"Then, I stepped in close, the dagger swinging toward him. I was aiming for one of the arms, close to the shoulder. He wouldn't expect a hit from a dagger there, unless I was mistaken.

In retaliation, Volin quickly jumped backwards and spat a bit of plasma from his mouth, aimed at the being's eyes, hoping to blind him.

IC: VenenI felt an urge to curse as my dagger was deflected. Surprise was a major advantage that was now gone.I had stepped back and to the side quickly, and as a result his plasma missed me.... mostly. A portion of it hit my mask as my head turned slightly, unable to fully dodge the blow. As it hit what amounted to one of my cheeks, there was a hissss and the air filled with the stench of hot metal and burned flesh. I growled in frustration, grabbing the pain-inflicting dagger with my free hand. "You'll pay for that, fool."I stepped in close once more. It was the only way I could get a clear strike with both hands, both of them aimed for the largest target, his chest. "Die."

IC: VolinThe being was much quicker than Volin expected. He swiped at his chest and a gash appeared in his armor and scratching the flesh below it as Volin backed up."Is that all you've got?"Volin summoned a lot of plasma around him, levitating it with his kanohi. The substanced looked like big blobs of goo with a mind of their own. Just to show off, Volin made it take many different shapes before launching some of it directly at Venen and sending a curved arc to his left side.

IC: Ghar-Knel almost forgot about breakfast. He dropped into a cafe and picked up a pastry and some juice, and headed on to the Kohlii field. The little Po-Matoran stared up at the tall figure, intimidating and... well, tall."I'd like to learn how to play this game," he finally said, simply. One of the Po-Matoran nodded and stepped off the field. The three other Matoran were replaced by three Po-Toa."Let's do this," the Vortixx said, cracking his neck."How do you want to play this?" one of the Toa asked. "Two on two quarters, two on two point ceiling, free for all, or one against all?""All of you against me," Ghar-Knel growled.Five minutes later...Ghar-Knel hobbled off the Kohlii field to find Ga'mal. Once he found her, she jumped in surprise at his bruises."I lost by one point," he said before collapsing next to the cart."At least I'm good at Kohlii," he mumbled.

IC: VenenI grinned savagely as my lethal dagger pierced Volin's chest. My victory was short-lived, however. The Toa summoned plasma and began lobbing it at me. Seeing the directions it was coming from, I dove to the right, landing on my chest. The plasma passed overhead far too close for comfort, and I winced as my armor became red-hot, burning me again. Still, I didn't have time to worry about the pain. I had no reason to believe that I would be able to put the tablet on him once the poison did him in, so I dropped it, then darted for the nearest shadows, activating my mask.In the shadow of a building, I relaxed. My Huna granted me invisibility, but my shadow would still show. However, that wouldn't be a problem in my current position. I stayed still, trying not to give away my location.I would observe him, make sure that he died. Chances were, he'd pick up the tablet to see what was on it and keep it to show to his companions, should he have any.

They were also considered to be rather popular in other lands, so if her targets were telling the truth, they should know the answer to her question."What is the answer to life, the universe and everything?"
