I definitely got too much UV on my plastic over the years! The wear and tear sitting here for days on end typing back in the heyday probably didn’t help hahaha!

Hey everyone! I am freshbonkle. I'm a gamer, sprite animator, music listener, Bionicle/toy enthusiast, and more. Online, my creative monkier is NanoSoft or just Nano for short. Bionicle is near and dear to me growing up with it. Used to frequent BZpower specifically back in them days as a news source but sadly, I didn't know about how to interact with forums back then and the like, which is why I didn't truly use it at the time. I think I might've had an old forum account but my forum days were in their infancy so I merely dabbled in it if anything. Anyways, I'm glad this site is still alive and kicking! It's an honor to be here. I got the recent Tahu and Takua promo set and got the OG Toa Tahu from 2001, brand new. My Bionicle passion has re ignited, wish for the line to come back one day, and hope to share that passion with y'all

Hello. I've been back and lurking for a few weeks now, might as well say hi here. I used to be very active here back in the ancient times. I saw some funny Bionicle videos on YT recently and it reminded me of when I was young. I surprisingly remembered my login info here on BZP, and I've been catching up on all the lore I missed after I quit collecting. (Side note: Man I wish I hadn't sold all my stuff. I used to have so much stuff that is now considered rare and expensive.) 

I don't think I'll be posting all that much, but I'll probably be stopping by every so often as I work to try and re-collect the original kanohi misprints.

It is an absolute miracle that I actually remembered the email I used when I joined BZP. I've gone by Ice Wraith, Daforex, Ishlator, Mista Mike, and this current name during my now nearly 22 years of being a member. Although I haven't been a regular visitor since 2008.

Well, this is a wild trip down memory lane.

Hi all. I used to be on this site 12(!!!) years ago under a different username. I was Peach 00, and I was banned. The only reason I’m here isn’t really to *be* here but rather make apologies to anybody back then who felt hurt by my actions and attitudes. I can’t say I think about it often, but when I do, I feel a lot of shame. It’s all very fuzzy to me because it’s been so long, but the general gist was I recall regurgitating a lot of toxic, discriminatory viewpoints I had learned from my home environment. I could make the excuse that I was young and I didn’t know any better, but I should have. This was absolutely NOT the place for that, it still isn’t, but for those who were on the site during that era, they probably remember there was a lot of back and forth between members through their banners/signatures about what was considered “site appropriate.” I got caught up in it and…yeah. I’m not proud of any of my commentary on it. It was over the next couple of years that my views progressed and I started to realize the world is a much bigger place than the narrow-minded sliver I’d been exposed to up to that point.

After some growing up, I guess this is my message in a bottle out into the internet ocean to say I abhor and do not condone my own behavior from that time. I don’t have a relationship anymore with the individuals who raised me with those views and I have sought radical growth and healing. I’m not the person I was anymore, I strive to be an ally, as well as listen as closely as I can as to HOW to be a good ally. I also offer hugs to all those deeply affected in these trying times (my goodness it’s rough out here y’all).

Looking through my old posts, it’s heartwarming though to see I found friends here. I was a very lonely, home-schooled teen living in an emotionally abusive household and in the throes of some very intense OCD episodes (though I didn’t know it at the time - yay for therapy), and that made me scared of myself and the whole wide world. This community was a lifeline in a lot of ways, and I look back on my time on the site here fondly in spite of my own negative contributions. But I also know that if I could, I’d go back in a heartbeat and give that girl a hug. Hurt people hurt people and all that.

Anyway. This is an odd, ramble-y little diary entry to post here I suppose, so mods, thank you if you got this far in this post and have allowed it to live. I don’t intend to stick around but it’s fun to see this site still going strong, and also wild to see some of my old writing have a home here. This is where I cut my teeth and I got a lot of support. I still write, though not nearly as often as I want these days, but it’s cringe in a really fun way to see some things I wrote when I was that age. Lastly, I hope for anyone who remembers me from that time that they at least know I’ve reflected a lot and tried to be a better person.

Hello! This feels weird, but thought I would say hello! I used to go under a different username/account, but I don’t even remember the last time I logged into that one, or if any of my older posts survived the previous server migrations. I have been trying to tap into my older hobbies from my childhood to balance my career, and Bionicle and art/sprites were a huge part of that growing up. I joined this site maybe during 2006 originally, and it was my first dive into the world of forums and social media - this site was such a formative part of my growing up online and meeting so many cool people.

I have also been collecting a few Bionicle sets here and there - I regret selling my childhood collection, but I have been picking up older sets at my own pace 🙂

I'm new, hello!

I'm a long-time Bionicle fan, starting with G1 back in 2001, and have loved it ever since. In particular I really took to MNOG (and the sequel) as well as absolutely loving the Nuva sets. These days, I work as a game designer (3C's focused now, used to work in level design), and previously worked in technical audio design on a few horror games. I'm currently doing a little legally distinct but heavily heavily heavily inspired by Bionicle little  multiplayer game in my evenings, which reminded me BZP existed, so here I am!

I usually lurked here or tried my hand at an art contest or two. I also did Diaries of Destral, a hand-drawn comic, which seem to have fortunately survived the several server migrations.

Wow, this feels like one of those things where you realise that time and life does move forward without abandon. I had one of those thoughts like 'I wonder if BZP is still around' and lo and behold here it is. Surely it cant be the same site from 20+ years back....my login actually worked?! 

How lovely it is to see this site and love for Bionicle still going. Hope you are all well and your collections stand strong 😛
