Wolfrenz0
So does anybody else have a problem with Pohatu's gearbox? Because mine will not hold a pose with the gear arm extended. Quote How lewd
Bfahome
Nothing critical. If I nudge him and the arm starts moving, though, it tends to fall. Such is the nature of friction. Have you tried replacing the friction pin? Could be that the one in the set has a slightly weaker grip.
Wolfrenz0
I'll have to try that when I get home! Right now I've gotta get to history! Edited January 15, 2015 by Wolfrenz0 Quote How lewd
Pohatu: Uniter of Stone
My arms stay up fine. But that's probably because I have organics mixed in with my mechanics, and the set is just plastic. I've had a similar problem with Kopaka. My solution was to get a new blue pin. The 1st Shadow
On mine, the arm does tend to flop, but only if I've been turning it extensively for a little while. Sometimes the plastic just has to settle for a while and the friction comes back to it. You will eventually have to replace it with a stronger pin, though. Deadalus
If the friction pin's lose, just brush on a few layers of this stuff (wait 24 hours in between each application).Ah-mazing. Wait 24 hours for the final coat the fully cure and it'll be super durable.
Ford
I have not had any problems whatsoever with any of the gearboxes on any of the Toa I have now, including Pohatu's. In fact, I think Tahu's is the worst so far with the in-set construction. I think it would have been better if they put more saw-tooth gears on Tahu, but this is about Pohatu! Deadalus
You're not really modding the parts. It's considered more of a "repair" since you're just replenishing layers of plastic/acrylic to help tighten the joints and increase friction.
