Sparkytron Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 (click for a larger image) Nui-Jaga in CCBSmade for the BBC #69 contest 14 Quote I had a signature once it's gone now
Nescent Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Extremely original, yet totally recognizable. I think the claws look good, but their size makes the Nui Jaga look like a crab. The face saves it though; it's so deliciously creepy. And nice work on the tail, it's very scorpion-like. Quote
joev14 Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Gosh I almost screamed when I saw that face. The only thing I can think of is adding a bit more purple (Got 2015 Onua?). I understand it's difficult, I just made a classic revamp of the Nui-Jaga myself last month, and purple is a very hard color to work with. Petersheikah Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 It looks amazing! This is very well built, especially his head. These HF heads are used very cleverly, great job. The tail looks a bit slim, but isn't bad. As Joev said you could've used more purple piece, still great MOC. Quote My MOCPages Profile
Prowl Nightwolf Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Remember the Nui jaga was not only purple. A blue version is equally possible if one tried. Speaking of... this is looking really nice as a 2015 Nui-Jaga. Did you incorporate any functions? Be cool to see this thing with another set for size comparison. Munty Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 An amazing entry! The nui jaga looks great in ccbs, you totally nailed it! The claws could be a little smaller but I don't think I would've even noticed if Nescent hadn't mentioned it already! Best of luc I see this going a long way and it's very refreshing to see another non-bipedal entry! Anapouri Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 This is really cool. I love how it plays into the new theme but also keeps itself as a homage to the original set. The Nui-Jaga was one of my first BIONICLE sets and I really think this rendition of it refreshes the original concept. It looks really powerful. Zenerius Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 This moc has left me speechless! Definitely one of my favorite entries so far. Keep up the good work Sparky, I'm anticipating your future creations! Quote
Ragnar Lothbrok Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 What a fantastic homage to the Nui-Jaga! The overall build is tight and tidy. I can't see very many gaps and that face is certainly frightening! I'd love to build one (or even two) of these myself, if you ever thought of sharing instructions You got my vote, Sparky! Prowl Nightwolf Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Wow, has anyone noticed how the claws were built? Very ingenious and it looks like they can open and close... Millennium Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 It's practically an all-CCBS MOC here. I am not too sure if I like this , but anyway...well done! It is fluid, very scorpion-like, and it just screams Nui-Jaga in every part of it. Quote
