Sumiki
I have never intentionally abused the service and don't ever plan on it. The replacement parts service operates on the assumption that the customers will be honest.I only used it twice, both to repair my Piraka Stronghold playset which mysteriously came with only about half its parts. Not knowing how to operate the light brick at that time, I had ordered another one, only to find that the original one worked. In that sense, I abused the service, but not intentionally. It's a strange part. Quote avatar by Lady Kopaka
Aris621
Those lime green pieces from Toa Mahri Hahli and Ehlek always break by me. So I had to sand an e-mail to LEGO if I can get (buy) some new pieces. A week later, I got a little package with a lots of those pieces for free!Or when I had lost a Kanohi Kadin from Nuparu Inika, I also asked LEGO if I can buy a new mask. And gues what... I´ve got it for free! (later I found the lost one under my bed )Oh and btw, When did you get those 2 Avohkii from LEGO? becouse a few days ago I want to by antoher BIONICLE piece from the service, but they said that they don't have BIONICLE parts anymore... If it's older than, say, 5 years than they probably don't have it.I got a replacement red lightsaber blade from this service, but when I asked for a replacement mask, they didn't have it (probably because it was 8 years old). -Blank-
I have used it a ton of times. It's addicting. It's so awesome to come home from school and see a ton of parcels from Lego. It was fun.But the replacement parts depend on what it is. If it's a lot of parts, and you lost the parts, then you'll probably have to pay. Now if it's one part, and it was either missing or lost, you don't have to pay (which was hwat happened to me). Off topic: 600 posts baby! "Swarm Awakened!" Taipu1
First time I used it was yonks ago, for the aerial piece off the creator set, Titan XP. Later used it to get a new foot for Kirop, and also get the Kanohi Ignika. Since discovered Bricklink and have never used LRPS again. Dralcax
I tried to get a replacement Cordak Blaster. It was too old and I couldn't get it. I tried to get a replacement Dekar leg, but the replacement is slightly shinier and more pinkish. Weird.

It's a strange part.Well, to be fair, the replacement parts service is only free if you were missing the part or received a broken part. The site says that they'll be willing to quote you a price for a lost part, and I know people have made actual "orders" through the replacement parts service without any hassle, just paying the fee that TLG charges for those parts.I've never abused the replacement parts service to get parts I wanted. I have, however, used it to get amazing digital renders of certain parts or to learn the color names, element ID numbers, and design ID numbers of various parts. For instance, through this service I learned that the Kraahkan in the 2003 Makuta set was in fact Metallic Black, the same color as Vorahk's feet, spine, and head, rather than regular black. Now I have that little grid with all those krana!I've never had to pay. It's weird, I broke Kongu Mahri's chest piece and I went to order it and they said it would cost $14. Since that's a rip off I bought it on Brickline for $1 or something then a few weeks later Lego sent me the piece for free.
GeluNumber1
I haven't used it yet. But from what I've heard, it seems to be a good service. Maybe to get back my missing Dekar mask... Quote Why are orange and black such a good color Combination ? Purple is pretty, and so is blue. Pink hurts your eyes, green is quite mellowing, black is very threatning, red is cool, orange is SO awesome, yellow's hard to read... But you can't see white at all! Oh, wait. I forgot brown. Speaking of nature, why are the children of animals called offspring? don't many young beasts come alive in spring, and thus, should be called onspring? Heeeeeeyy..... I got the first post on a page for the first time. Who knows; it may happen again. What the... It did happen again... and again... YEAH! I'M ENCOUNTERING PROTODERMIS! Peach 00
I've used it before, especially for sets Hahli Mahri, Zaktan, and Takadox. For Hahli Mahri, I waited six months after I called and I still didn't get any of her pieces in the mail, and I have no idea why. =/ Quote On the day the wall came down / They threw the locks onto the ground And with glasses high / We raised a cry / For freedom had arrived On the day the wall came down / The ship of fools had finally run aground Promises lit up the night / Like paper doves in flight I dreamed you had left my side / No warmth, not even pride remained And even though you needed me / It was clear that I could not do a thing for you Now life devalues day by day / As friends and neighbors turn away And there's a change that even with regret / Cannot be undone Now frontiers shift like desert sands / While nations wash their bloodied hands Of loyalty, of history / In shades of grey I woke to the sound of drums / The music played, the morning sun streamed in I turned and I looked at you / And all but the bitter residues slipped away slipped away... Ektris
I've only ever used it twice. The first time was to replace the ball joints on my Lesovikk, which had all broken - luckily I got enough extra ones in the bag they sent to mostly replace Hahli's too. The second time was just this past summer when I ordered a few replacement silver 1x3 thin liftarms for Roodaka after they mysteriously broke from just sitting there on The Shadowed One for a good while... Of course, I forgot I had ordered those ones and also bought a few off Bricklink, but they were cheap so oh well. ~|ET|~ Quote E-T... Phone home. "He walks among us, but he is not one of us."
