For those of you who haven't heard, yes, MythBusters will be ending soon. The final season will apparently consist of 12 episodes, the first of which has already aired last Saturday, and you can expect to see new ones each Saturday until the season (and the series) is over. Anyway, this topic should also be for everyone to discuss the entire series. MythBusters has had a successful run for 14 years, with hundreds of myths and plenty of great moments. Here's my list of the best myths/moments:Chicken cannon.The rocket car/ramp from the very first episode.Christmas Rube Goldberg machine.Tory faceplanting on the bike over the wagon.Giant Lego Ball.Shocking Adam with the Ark of the Covenant (even though that was really dangerous and they didn't want to do it; the producer suggested it).Exploding coffee creamer.The exploding cement mixer (seriously, how awesome was that noise?) Chronicler06 Posted January 17, 2016 Author Posted January 17, 2016 For those of you who have yet to see any episodes from the final season, I'd like to mention that the first episode (which was on the previous week) was the so-called "explosion special", featuring these myths: Can you safely cross a minefield by riding in a hovercraft? Can a bomb in a mail truck be safely contained by filling that truck with concrete? The second episode, which was on just last night, featured only one myth: Can a railway tanker car (after being steam-cleaned, sealed shut, and then cooled rapidly by rainfall) implode? I'm not going to reveal what the results were, but I will say that the tanker car implosion myth has definitely become another one of my favorites.
