Hidron Nuva
Remember that Bionicle/TRON crossover I made a while back?Well, here's more! I finally managed to finish Makuta.Link to the drawing ->This time I wanted to go beyond the rough sketch and make a detailed drawing with a clean lineart (which I might upload, should anyone be interested).I wanted to add some more details, like some grid-textured damaged parts or some background, but I realized I was never gonna finish it. I might work on it in the future but I doubt it.Just like for Takanuva, the thing on his left arm is a cesta, a weapon featured in the first TRON movie. It's used to play a sport that reminded me of Kohlii, so I thought "Why not?" Comments are very welcome, please let me know what you think! EDIT: Brickshelf seems to be down, which means the thumbnail doesn't show up. Edited June 4, 2016 by Hidron Nuva
Onaku
I'm unsure how to properly express my thoughts about this. The colouring, the shading, the overall design work... it all just comes together so well to form this imposing piece of character design that I overall am in love with. I especially love the helmet; smooth and featureless, yet also harking back to the shape of the Kraahkan. It really brings together this faceless menace of a being. All in all, good job, Hidron. I am most certainly looking forward to more art from you. 1 Quote BZPRPG Profiles
evil_jaga_genius
To me the thing on his arm looks like a blade, not a cesta... not like that isn't cool too, but I'm not sure if that's what you were going for or not. Anyway the rest of him looks cool too, especially the Krahkann helmet. Takanuva's one is meant to be shaped like this too (just less sharp). Edited June 3, 2016 by Hidron Nuva
-Windrider-
This looks quite incredible. You're right; it's very clean, and I almost wonder if a little more mess would be appropriate. Have you considered tweaking the background, or adding shadows, or something similar? Also, the mask/helmet works perfectly as an actual helmet, if that makes sense. Toa Doublebee
This is great work. I love TRON: Legacy. Almost as much as I love the original film I have to wonder what this guy would look like battle scarred and damaged. (pwetty please?) Hidron Nuva
Thank you! You're right; it's very clean, and I almost wonder if a little more mess would be appropriate. Have you consider tweaking the background, or adding shadows, or something similar? I thought the same thing, when I clean up my drawings they never look as good as they did when messy :\I did try to add a shadow on the ground and a background, but sadly it's not finished yet... When I realized the drawing had been like this for like three months I decided to upload it even if it's not 100% finished. I will update this topic should I find some time to finish it I have to wonder what this guy would look like battle scarred and damaged. (pwetty please?) I will upload the final result when I get to add all the details I wanted to. I wanted Makuta to look like some kind of virus
FrozenPancake_
"A simple game of Kolhii..." Very sleek and intimidating in appearance, but I feel that rougher lines would be appropriate, as Windy mentioned earlier. Come to think about it, it'd be a good callback to Teridax's appearance in MNOG. Quote A big thank you to Toucan Sam for the Okotian name. Onaku
I disagree with the notion that this drawing requires rougher lines. If you're moving your style toward more refined lines, then I don't think that development should be hampered. Quote BZPRPG Profiles

If you're moving your style toward more refined lines, then I don't think that development should be hampered. Well I'm more like trying to "force" my style in that direction, but maybe I should stop trying. I just want to be able to make a clean drawing when I want to...I might upload a "dirty" version of this drawing after the exams, I think I still have the sketch in one of the levels.
