Crunchyn
This was a request I did for someone outside of BZP who wanted me todraw one of his MOC's, which I chose Furnace. It was challenging for meespecially because now I'm breaking out of the standardBionicle Toa/Matoran/etc. torso designs and trying to figure out to connect the limbs and such (I cansee so many mistakes in the perspective...) On the plus side, this time, I tried out using Photoshop's ColorBalance adjustment to color the black and white drawing. I think I did alright there Original MOC by 3rdeye88 FurnaceLink Medium: Copic Markers, White Gel Pen/Pencil, Photoshop Quote "I could have been a Protector but then I took a stud to the feet." Hitoshura
That looks really nice. It looks more "realistic" than the actual MOC. I like the details put into it. Quote profiles
Taka Nuvia
Your artwork is always so amazing :3 What I find very interesting is that you used grey paper in combination with copic markers*. I never thought of that before, but the effect it creates is fantastic; quite plastic and 3D-looking. And of course, the highlights are all well-placed. On one of the tubes they're a bit very scribbly, but that's just a small thing ^^ 'nother thing is the left (seen as right) foot; there's something slightly off about it but I can't say what exactly it is. Overall, the mechanical look is cool. ^^ It even looks very much like the MoC while staying true to your style. Have I already mentioned it's awesome? No? Well now I have. :3 *I think it's the usage of markers that's new to me. ^^' Edited April 3, 2013 by Taka Nuvia Quote My art collection topic - updated! Katuko
This here is quality, mate. Good work. I've always had a thing for striking red coloring on robots, and I love how vivid this one looks. You really caught that metal shine.
Biff
Dude, that's intense. Reminds me of Iron Man and War Machine.
Kadra
Amazing work, the likeness is unarguable. Also, as Taka said, very nice idea with gray paper and copic markers. Might try that out some time...
