Furnace

This was a request I did for someone outside of BZP who wanted me to

draw one of his MOC's, which I chose Furnace. It was challenging for me

especially because now I'm breaking out of the standard

Bionicle Toa/Matoran/etc. torso designs and trying to figure out to connect the limbs and such (I can

see so many mistakes in the perspective...) On the plus side, this time, I tried out using Photoshop's Color

Balance adjustment to color the black and white drawing. I think I did alright there :)

Your artwork is always so amazing :3

What I find very interesting is that you used grey paper in combination with copic markers*. I never thought of that before, but the effect it creates is fantastic; quite plastic and 3D-looking. And of course, the highlights are all well-placed. On one of the tubes they're a bit very scribbly, but that's just a small thing ^^

'nother thing is the left (seen as right) foot; there's something slightly off about it but I can't say what exactly it is.

Overall, the mechanical look is cool. ^^ It even looks very much like the MoC while staying true to your style.

Have I already mentioned it's awesome? No? Well now I have. :3

*I think it's the usage of markers that's new to me. ^^'
