Lend Me Your Names!

Hi all,

I have a problem.

I'm bad at making up names.

You know, for fictional stories?

So would you tell me, please, what you think some good names are? First names, last names, your best friends' names or those of inspirational 15th century world leaders. Whatever. Just drop them here in the comments and I'll find a way to thank you in my NaNoWriMo novel when I make it big.

EDIT: I'm fine on guys' names now. I would really appreciate some for the awesome ladies I'll be placing in my story though. Thanks!

I don't know if those first three apply, but to address the last one: I can't use real names.

(Luckily I'll be mixing up first and last names.)

He played the fourth incarnation of the time traveling alien The Doctor in the British and longest running sci-fi show Doctor Who:

First, I am thoroughly insulted that you speak as though I don't know what Doctor Who is!

Second, D'OH! I had no idea that was the name of one of the actors. I've not watched the stuff before the Ninth Doctor.

Mmm, sorry. I didn't mean to come off as insulting. I would figure however that some names were engrained in fans' brains whether or not they had seen them in action. (For the record, I started with Nine and have only just gotten through the first season for the Fourth Doctor. I plan on watching him and Five at least eventually.)

Okay, I wasn't actually insulted. That was in jest. :P

Anyways, I've never looked up the actors' names. I just know David Tennant and Matt Smith.

Maxwell Von Toppington.

So, if you're writing a 19th century action movie, I've got you covered.

It's steampunk, so yeah...

Um, hey y'all. Why are most of these guys' names? I want to have some kick-butt ladies in my novel too, and of course there might be some love interest(s) (who may or may not also be said kick-butt lady).

Theodosia Constance Piedmont Beauregard Edmondson VI [this is really just a feminized version of a wacky nickname I've given myself, but you're free to use it]

Also, any first name that ends in -ity (Verity, Felicity, Chastity, Serenity, etc.)

I'm terrible with last names so here are lady first names (pick your own last names from other comments here, if you wish):

Soren, Alice, Rebecca, Anabelle (number of n's and l's can change), Arrietta, Desdemona, Amada (note: not Amanda).
