  1. Add Vinesmen under Gukko force. They are the official units of the Gukko force which don't ride gukkos. Otherwise, I love it. 'specially Arctic Watch
  2. ICVerak nodded slowly. He then smiled at them and turned away. The salty sea breeze was exhilarating. What could be better than this?He leaned against the rail and watched the Po-Wahi coastline slip by.
  3. I don't care how much you want to butcher of the Marines. I don't like the word 'Legion', It implies a huge army for what is really a specialized unit. Maybe Riders, Warriors, Guard, Calvary, or Squadron? I like the Footmen, or the Desert Legion for the Po-Matoran army.
  4. Sanctum Police for the police? Ko-Koro Guard for the normal military? When it comes to military organizations I'm not that creative. Also it'd be great if Francis could compile everything we determine here into the original blog post.
  5. ICVerak took note of Zacax's glare. The toa of fire was either her brother, and very protective, or he had some sort of romantic interest in Ambera. He'd have to find out."I like those communicator things," he pointed out, "I see you all have 'em. You family or somethin'?"
  6. I'm pretty sure we've seen the entire military of each koro. Each town has a completely different sort of military.Onu Koro has the Ussalry, mainly consisting of Matoran riding Ussals.Le Koro has the Gukko force, of matoran riding Gukko birds.Ga Koro has the Ga Koro guardAnd so forth. Just because the militaries are all specialized doesn't mean that they all have average ground forces. Any more than this is basically created by us.
  7. ICVerak wasn't sure sure what to think about the newcomer. Zacax's button system was a little... odd. He and his team kept darting off to other places, and pulled new members aboard. Ambera and Deusui climbed aboard, dripping wet from the swim. Verak eyed the female toa. She was silver, black and yellow. Funny coloring. What element would she be?He walked over and smiled. "Hello there. My name's Verak, the adventurer," He bent down and kissed her hand in a show of mock politeness. "Pleased to meet you."
  8. Bane, we can't kill your character! We're just getting information from him!In a particularly gruesome way. Also,a quick lesson:Dues ex machina=god of the machineGod of the Machine refers to ancient times. Back in ye olde days, the greeks had these fabulous stories. They were told in the form of plays. Usually, They all ended with a god coming down from the heavens, intervening, and setting everything right. The very definition of Dues Ex Machina, right? Now, these gods were, in the play, just actors who flew around on ropes. Ropes. Controlled by a machine. They were the God of the Machine. Deus Ex Machina.Get it?@Auron- I just posted, saying that Tooroko set sail, so The Silver Keras is on the way to Ga-Koro. We can do all sorts of pirate-y stuff now.
  9. ICLaki breathed a sigh of relief as metal sprung form the ground and twisted and warped around the Vortixx. It appeared Madrihk had the same suspicions Laki had. It made Laki feel good to know he was thinking in the right way. But he was confused. Wasn't Bane a member of the ILS? Didn't that make Madrihk trust him?Or... was he? Maybe Bane was just a newcomer- like Laki- and had no standing with Madrihk. Making everything Bane said questionable. The Toa could be lying, deceived, or a servant of Makuta. On the other hand, this convenient new Parakuka user did give some benefits..."This is good-perfect!" Laki exclaimed, " This bad vortixx is an ever-perfect test subject! We can try certain test-things on the Vortixx, and if the vortixx fall-dies, we've lost nothing!"
  10. It takes real mastery. Really. It's hard to do it well. That's why I don't do it.EDIT: Stupid incredibly active topic. > keep getting ninja'd. Just go see Tyler's post.
  11. ICLaki was skeptical. The votixx... could control the parakuka?"So... some parakuka are happy-good?" that was unexpected. The idea that makuta spawn could be taught to work for good. Laki had never expected something like that. The matoran returned his disks to his pack and sighed. He wasn't going to get close to that vortixx and his parakuka, and he wasn't going to trust him, but in the end it wasn't his decision. If Mardrihk chose to trust the Vortixx, Laki could too."Very much-well." he said, "I guess-suppose that is what we must do- teach the Turaga to control-tame their Parakuka,"Laki didn't think he'd ever be able to accept the elders as long as the parakuka was attacked to them, but that wasn't really logical. If the vortixx could control his parakika, then the Turaga, maybe, in time, could too with those slugs. Laki didn't like it, but he had to be realistic. Maybe that was the only way.Something deep down in his gut screamed danger though, and Laki didn't know why.
  12. OOCLaki didn't throw the disk, he just aimed it... oops. My post wasn't very clear, to be fair.ICLaki glared at the parakuka attached to the vorixx's back. It pulsed evily, as if siphoning blood from the neck of the black armored being. He couldn't help but recoil whenever he saw it. It was disgusting. And Laki hated it. Everything about the idea- a slug which turns it's host into a monster? And whenever Laki looked at the thing, he was reminded of the Turaga. Of seeing them transform, mutate, and act like animals, Rahi. Of Matau, his leader, his guider and protector for Laki's entire life, beating a Rahkshi to death with its own arms. And Bane was asking Laki to trust this Vortixx. This Vortixx with a Parakuka on its back. If the Turaga with a parakuka could easily murder a Rahkshi, what could a tall, strong, Vortixx do with a Parakuka?"I'd be ever-willing to believe-trust this man if he was only a Vortixx," Laki spat, "But he isn't. He has a Parakuka-slug on his back-spine. He needs to be prison-contained. Trapped. If the parakuka activates... we could all die."
  13. ICWith one final heave, Corex and Verak pulled the anchor into it's correct position, hanging on the side of the ship. Verak wiped the salt off his hands and turned. The ship slowly slipped away from shore, with nothing holding it there now. The wind pulled hard, and Tooroko pulled a bit on the wheel, letting the ship turn towards the sea. The salty sea breeze was in everyone's face now. There was something exhilarating about setting out away from shore, nothing but a bunch of well crafted wood keeping you from sinking. Verak was excited. The crew was interesting. Corex, the Toa of iron who owed a Skakdi a life debt, Aurel, the newcomer to the island still uncomfortable with its ways, and the only girl on the ship. There was then Zacax and Deusui. He wasn't sure what to think of those two, but he was sure he'd get along fine with them. Unless Zacax and Corex got in a fight. He could see the tension between the two sometimes."You probably know how to get to Ga-Koro, brother" Verak said to the captain, "But since I'm navigatin', I should tell you just to follow the coast south."The toa turned to the newcomer, Deusui. He was thin and lithe, powerful but still skinny. He was grey and silver, and wore the mask of stealth. Sneaky was the word Verak would use to describe him.But Deusui seemed kind enough, and Verak didn't like judging."Hello there, brother. I'm Verak, proud and dashin' toa of sand. Now, I know what you're thinkin' - no such thing as a toa of sand, right? Well, technically I'm a toa of stone, but I've honed my abilities to just use sand. Sand is, after all, just little bits of rock, eh? Anyway, it'll be good to get to know you. May I ask what was so urgent in Ta-Wahi?"OOCSorry, but I wanted to get us moving. We should wait until the Lorax gets back to his character before we make it to Ga-Wahi. I'm sure we'll all have fun in a cramped boat, huh?
  14. ICLaki shouted in surprise as a vortixx with a parakuka stumbled into camp. Vortixx were high on the list of things Laki didn't like, and parakuka had recently topped that list. The Matoran pulled out his serrated disks and pointed one at the vortixx. "Get him away-out! He had bad-slug parakuka!" he shouted.
  15. IC"Not remove the parakuka-parasites? But the Turaga- what are you speak-saying?" Laki asked. How could the village leaders function with the slugs on their back?Laki wished Skaarn would say something. The matoran needed something to do, instead of sit here and squabble like politicians without getting something done.
  16. IC"We're not experimenting on the leader-elders!" Laki exclaimed. "There need-must be some other way! If Skaarn would speak-say what he is thinking of, we have-might some leads."
  17. Why worry about the citizens getting angry?Just nobody tell the populace that we're holding the turaga-Oh wait. We already did. Well. Uh. We just... don't tell them the turaga have been parakuka-fied? Or did we already do that?ILS needs more secrets.EDIT: Yes, the Turaga look like turaga again. Besides the slugs attached to their spines.
  18. IC"Bane has a point." Laki said. "We have to try something. Unless Skaarn has a better alternative..."
  19. IC"Don't mention it," Verak said, letting the last mooring line fall into the water with a splash and a spray of mist.He turned and began hoisting up the anchor. "A little help here?" He asked of Corex.
  20. ICVerak triumphantly untied the last knot, and the sail unfurled loudly. It fell fast, and then immediately inflated, swelling with seaside breeze. He scurried down the mast and dropped to the deck. "Come one then! Were not done yet! Release the moorin' lines and raise the anchor!" He yelled to the other members aboard the ship.Zacax suddenly looked down. Something on his wrist was beeping obnoxiously. Zacax looked, and his Hau quickly took on the expression of one who had forgotten an important appointment."Oh, great." The toa of fire moaned, "You guys go on ahead to Ga-Wahi," he said, running below decks and hurriedly packing up it gear. "I have something to do in Ta-Wahi!" Within minutes he had leaped over board and begun running south across the desert.Corex sighed. "Oh great," he complained. "We lost our gunsmith. At least we get to keep these," The toa of Iron brandished his surge shot."Here, brother. I don't like long range," Verak said, tossing his large sniper rifle over to Corex. "Keep it. I don't need guns when I have blades." Verak walked to the side of the ship and began untying the ropes which kept it attached to the shore.
  21. ...I can see why you want to make a character like this. [/sarcasm]
  22. ICLaki noticed a fellow Le-Matoran slip into the small crowd. Thousands of years in Le-Koro had brought him the know the name of almost every resident. He placed the newcomer as Verik, Le-Koro's best (In Laki's opinion) doctor. He was a bit weird at times but... that's people for you.In the meantime, Madrihk and Skaarn were arguing. To be honest, Laki had to agree with Skaarn. Madrihk needed the information, and the Makuta-son wouldn't give it out in the hope he might be freed. The one with the information always had the upper hand, and nothing short of torture could bring that information out. Even torture was unreliable. "We could smart-try burning the Parakuka off," Laki suggested, "works on ticks and other parasites."
  23. ICVerak grabbed the Zamor scatter and held it up to the light. It was small but heavy, with a short barrel and a curved and ornate hand guard. "Thanks, brother." he said. "I think I'll take one of these. I'll have to get you to teach me how to use 'em later," for the captain had just shouted the order to get sail."Aye aye!" Verak shouted as he ran above deck. The toa of stone quickly shimmied up the rigging and set to untying the sail.OOCI'm pretty sure these weapons might be illegal. . Are they staff approved?
