  1. wait wait WAIT. Hold on. Are we really calling the six matoran heroes, the main characters of this whole RPG, the Oceanic Six?From Lost?I don't want the main character group of the BZPRPG to be named like expies....
  2. IC"Firearms, hm? I've always wanted a gun... how much you sellin' em for?" Verak asked Zacax.
  3. ICLaki watched as Skaarn was locked up. He had an idea about those weird slug things. They looked like Kraata, the sons of Makuta. And what was Skaarn but a makuta-son? he might know something.Laki walked to the main square, still following Madrihk. What the army was going to do now affected the whole island, and Laki wanted to be part of it.
  4. IC"As I said before, ready and waitin', brother." Verak said with a smile.
  5. IC"Technically I'm a toa of stone, but why waste time learnin' to control sand when I can spend m'life honing my mastery of the little particles of stone, right?" he smiled as he, Zacax and Corex entered the crew's quarters. Verak collapsed on an old bench near the back of the room.
  6. ICVerak turned and shouted "Ready to set sail, cap'n!" to Tooroko."Quick question: where are our quarters?" Zacax then asked.Verak turned and put an arm around the black and red toa of fire. "Here, brother, let me show you. Just down these steps, and you've got the most sailor-lookin' cabins there are! Huh. I think I forgot yer name, if you told us. Care to introduce yerself? M'name's Verak, by the way. I'm a dashing adventurer with power over sand."
  7. ICLaki didn't want to listen to anything the dark son of Makuta said, but he did say something Laki hadn't thought of- the death of Nui-Rama. How far did one take the concept of murder? Was it really right to kill all the Rama? No. It was Makuta's fault. He had enslaved them, and if the Rama couldn't be freed, they had to be killed. Even uninfected the Nui-Rama were dangerous. our lives were more important that their's. Why? Because no Nui-Rama was smart enought to argue otherwise.A large amount of people ran towards The toa of ice, all speaking to him about important things that needed doing. Laki wished he could help, but he was only a matoran, and not even a part of this elite group. In fact, he should be getting back to Le-Koro.Nevertheless, he did want to make up for his failure to assist in the attack on the Nui-Rama hive. Helping clean up after the battle was the least he could do.
  8. "War has dark-nasty side affects, Skaarn." Laki said. "And we won't get Makuta to leave us in happy-peace by reason-talking to him. If we do not war-fight, great-many more will die from Makuta or live in bad-darkness."
  9. IC"You are are dark-bad." Laki said to Skaarn accusingly. He wan't surprised. Skaarn's story wasn't totally watertight. "And- yes. I am good-side helping. Are you attack-leader? I am ever-happy the hive had fallen. It is the Ever-greatest blow to Makuta since toa-hero Mata. Also, I am sorry for you're death-losses," He paused, before asking one more question. He knew he was a bit nagging, but the matoran was curious. "And what-thing is the mystery-pillar? I promise-swear to let-leave you to you toa-duties soon."
  10. No, I don't think Nuju would do that. He seems to be trying hard to advance the plot right now.But who knows?
  11. ICLaki was still skeptical. "You don't good-make first impressions. Perhaps you should stop-talk with mountain-falling and island-sinking. And Makuta-son revealing."
  12. IC"Thank ya," Verak said, "I get down to...um... navigatin' right now." Verak went below decks, and walked into the cramped crew's quarters. Verak was excited. Wasn't every day you began a swashbuckling journey and a good sized ship.He quickly ruffled through the maps that lay on the table. As the captain had said, only one showed the entire island. He quickly noted their position on Po-Wahi's coast. He turned the map a few times, trying to discern which was the ship was facing. Then he noted a very useful instrument."Ah. That's what a compass is for." He muttered to himself. He slapped the device on the desk and watched as the needle wavered back and forth before settling on on direction. He oriented the map accordingly. Taking note of that, he picked up the astrolabe. Verak squinted. He wasn't a sailor. What was this this supposed to do? After letting it dangle from his fingertips for a few moments, the toa gently placed it upon the table and went back to the map.He triumphantly pranced to the top deck and checked the compass again."Where to, captain?" he said, giving a mock salute.OOCI'm on the other side of the globe, in good ol' Amerucah.
  13. ICLaki tilted his head."You good-serve Mata-Nui? Single-second ago dark-son of Makuta you were." He said, ignoring Skaarn's second question.
  14. ICLaki backed up another few steps. The thing's personality change confused and frightened him. One moment it was raging, the next it was calm and polite."I am... Laki" he said haltingly, unsure what to do, "Do you name-have?"
  15. ICLaki took a few steps back and fingered his throwing disks. He didn't want to be close when this thing broke out. "Makuta-Spawn? Are those not Rahkshi? You are ever-smarter than they."He then glanced around the battlefield. Where any Toa here to take care of this thing?
  16. OOCGuys, I think it's clear that Nuju Metru wants some privacy as his unnamed matoran discusses something important with Reordin. I think you should leave him alone. Also, I am freaking stunned. We won! I thought this attack was going to drag on for another few pages. Did that final push seem just a bit too easy?ICLaki walked forwards, amazed as he witnessed the great hive of the Nui-Rama burn. Impossible. It was gone. That hive had loomed in the distance, a menace, promising evil and Ramas throughout the entire Wahi. It had always sat there. It was a fixture of Laki's universe. And now it was gone. Burning to ashes.Laki couldn't wrap his mind around this- it was a powerful blow to The Makuta. He thought the island would always remain in shadow. But this? This proved the Le-Matoran wrong. If the Rama hive could be destroyed, what was next? Makuta himself? Could a proper army really do that? Laki ran to a nearby Ta-Matoran guard who had joined in the attack and excitedly asked about the battle. He learned that the casualties were large, and the force had lost dozens of men. Many killed by a toa of shadow. Laki spent the rest of the day celebrating the army's success with a few gukko pilots and other miscellaneous matoran. Night fell, and the sky was clear, glittering with hundreds of thousands of stars, shining down upon the Matoran's great victory.Laki, at times, felt a bit guilty. he hadn't done anything to help the forces but watch. Others had risked everything. He wished he had had the nerve to come fight, beat down a few Nui-Rama or something. But he hadn't, so he rejoiced in what others had accomplished. It wasn't until morning that Laki saw the huge, granite pillar where the hive once was. He wasted no time in getting over there. It was almost featureless. Besides a few slots near the base. Was something supposed to be placed there? Laki looked hard, but he could imagine what the 'keys' were. There were six- the number of Toa Mata. Once you fit something into there, It was likely the door in the column would open, revealing the stone's secrets. Maybe another entrance to Mangai? He also noted something else, carved above the door. 'Hidden lines..." the matoran muttered. What did that mean?He was interrupted by someone roaring, "Release me, you coward!". The matoran turned to see Some sort of Toa-Rahi amalgamation captured in ice, squirming in anger.Laki slowly walked over to it."What-thing are you?" He asked it. OOCThat's a Le-Matoran talking to your Hordika, Toa Fanixe.
  17. OOCI just realized the sexism there. Lol.IC"Heh, Well, of course, didn't mean it like that. sister. I just said I'd be a bad cook and I'm sure you're terrible at cooking as well..."Verak looked around awkwardly. "Well! I'll go get meself acquainted with the maps n' charts. Where are you keepin' them again?"he asked the captain.
  18. IC"Navigator." Verak quickly raised his hand before he got stuck with the job of cook. Cooking was not his strong suit. Then again, neither was navigating. The party of five walked up the gangplank to the deck of Tooroko's fine ship. Verak was impressed. Ships were expensive and hard to take care of. Anyone who had a fully functioning ship this size had Verak's respect. "So Zacax is cannon master, Corex is shipwright, and Aurel's the cook! See, I can't make food much, and I'll stick meself with navigatin', if that's alright..."
  19. IC"And I'm the most dashin', adventurous, and excitin' Toa of Stone yer ever likely to meet! My proper name's Verak, but you call me what you wish, brother."I don't care where we'e goin', as long as I get paid, but since no one else here had any ideas about destinations and the like, I say we pop down to Ga-Koro. It's got a flourishing trade center, and we might be able to cart some supplies or somthin' to another Wahi. Savvy?" Verak said with a flourish.
  20. I also sort I always sort of had the notion that they also were there to push off any inhabitants which may have taken up residence there when Mata-Nui was observing, but I might be wrong.
  21. ICVerak blinked. Talk about strange…Well, I suppose that's what happens if you travel with a Skakdi's mercenary, Verak thought. He was a tad disappointed- the toa had been hoping for a fight."Well, that was… interestin'. I suppose we should continue on to the docks." The other two nodded and the three walked the rest of the way to the Po-Koro shipyards. The shipyards were fairly large, seeing as most other Koro didn't have any. A few large docks stretched out into the water, and many ships were simply floating near the shore. A matoran trader and his shop stood to the side. Verak scanned the boats. Most were fishing boast or ferries, but there was one very interesting looking one…"Hello there!" he called to a Vortixx atop a nicely sized ship, "Have any need for some crew? Or more importantly, widgets to spare?" Verak gestured to Aurel and Corex.
  22. OOCNOOO! I named by character with the same name that Kal Grochi named one of his! What was I thinking? Two Verak's? Ah well. I suppose it's reasonable for a few people to have the same name. THis might get interesting...ICThe trio walked most of the way to the docks in silence. Verak sometimes had this affect on people. His incessantly friendly and carefree personality jarred some people, and he lacked that which civilization deemed 'manners'. Awful things, those. Added to that, Corex seemed naturally silent, and Aurel was a newcomer (Who didn't know what widgets were?) and was still adjusting to the island's ways.As they came to the second intersection, and the sea became barely visible on the horizon, Verak knelt and filled an empty water skin with sand. "I can only control desert sand, so I may need to bring some with me if I go to another Koro. Just a precaution," he explained. And they walked towards the distant dockyards.
  23. IC"Are you workin' for yer Skakdi friend right now?" Verak rephrased the question
  24. IC"Sound fun," Verak said, "Yer friend have any current vendetta? D'ye have the week off or somthin'?"
