  1. ICLaki thought. A weapon? What sort of weapon did he know how to use? His skill was balancing, jumping, doing acrobatics. He wasn't that good with a knife (couldn't get close enough), or a sword (to heavy and long), or an axe (too big), or any other usual weapon. He could only think of one good and trustworthy fighting weapon."Could you make me some sort of lightweight throwing disk?" he asked.OOCAnd could it be returning? that would be very handy, although pretty physics defying.
  2. IC"Yep-much, ever-brave Laki here!" he said, glad she was awake and not dying or anything. Creating a platform of Iron was draining for any Toa. "You ever-saved my life twice-time now. But Le-koro is still under bad-attack. Bad-bats fly-heading for Turaga-elder's hut. Quickstop them before dark-bad things happen," he pointed to a straggler swooping gracefully down to the elder's hut.
  3. OOC: OK, so yeah, Laki's been hangin' with Aelynn this whole time, and is now with her in the under-attack Le-Koro. Also, it's amazing the Mystix aren't already dead, considering there's only five attacking a village that had been succesfully stopping Rahi attacks for centuries. IC: Laki held the Iron-Madu-Bombs like they were all that was keeping him alive. Honestly, he was worried they were, but didn't want to throw them for fear of the damage he could cause to the village. He watched the bat-things swoop down, dodging attacks like mad. They were impressively powerful. Or just lucky. However, the unfortuanate thing was that they were heading toward's Matau's hut. If they got him, all was lost.Laki looked around. No bat-things in sight. The villagers on this platform were either hiding or helping fight. He bent down over Aelynn. This was the second time this had happened, and he did the same thing he did the first time: shake her and hope she wasn't suffering any lasting damage.
  4. Well, even if the flood don't mean to be evil, their sole goal is butchering and consuming and utterly annihilating every sentient being in the universe. But your right, they're more like a force of nature than an evil mastermind, which is part of why they're cool. And the prophets, even if they thought firing the Halo rings would God-ify the Covenant, were manipulative and sneaky and lying. Just not very nice guys.
  5. IC"Okay, food," Laki said. "I'll run grab some in a sec. And Diaku help-supplying the Gukko force. Manual-tough labor, and all that. I don't know where you're blade went, though. You okay-well?"OOCSee my above post for fixing issues with our last posts.
  6. OOCSo, to my knowledge, no huts have exploded, but some trees with huts on them have fallen down, which might account for the confusion. Also, the Mystix, contrary to what last few posts say, are still hiding in the Gukko Force headquarters or something like that. And Gravity, do you want to go back and edit your posts? I'll change mine a bit more too and we'll all be happy. Maybe Aelynn pointed to where she thought the Mystix were (instead of the the frag-madu) and Laki told her to drop the branch.IC"Can you wake up?" Laki growled, not realizing she had already woken.
  7. IC"Snap," Laki muttered as a pretty large toa fell on him. Or almost fell on him. He managed to duck out of the way, but winced when her head hit the platform hard. She was breathing softly, So at least the use of elemental energy didn't kill her."Wake up, wake up," he muttered, shaking her head. What was the matter with her? Why could she do barely anything with her powers? Strange, but the middle of the invasion was not the time for answers. Not that he, or Diaku, or Aelynn were in any imminent danger. The Gukko force and nearby Toa were doing good enough of a job. Still. He shook her head harder. To bad he didn't have a bucket of water or other sure-fire way to wake her. Diaku shook his head and said, "I'll her-let you care-deal with the coma-Toa. I'll help-keep the Gukko-force supply-well.""Much-thank," Laki said sarcastically, "go save the world,"
  8. OOCEdit: Well, since lots of these posts are inaccurate cause those Mystix are still hiding, I'll have to change mine.ICLaki followed Aelynn up the elevator and up to Le-Koro. To be honest, he was very excited. it wasn't every day Le-Koro was attacked and Laki had a chance to help a Toa save it. His job wasn't exactly full of action.Le-Koro was under siege. Apparently. No-one was visible, but someone was certainly out there. Aelynn had just thrown a grenade at something. If that something actually was a Mystix, they needed a better way to see what it was. His mind raced. He didn't have any super-powers, so he would have to use his own intellect and knowledge of the Koro.He pointed to a branch near the place Aelynn had attacked. "That tree-branch is about to fall. Just a small-bit of spikey-iron near the branch-base will let it down-fall," he pointed out to Aelynn, who had already proved her resourcefulness by creating a special Iron-Madu fruit. The branch was pretty big, and would, hopefully, force the invaders closer to the Koro.OOCSo... this place that has a frag grenade flying at it and will soon have a large tree branch falling on it may or may not actually be where the Mystix are.
  9. Laki was surprised. For a Toa, Aelynn's elemental energy ran out fast. He surveyed the area. Whoever tried to destroy central Le-Koro was long gone. While Laki was doing this, Diaku asked the new Toa, "Did you see what crash-happened? Is it bad-Rahi? Makuta-minions?"
  10. ICLaki didn't make the jump. Not even that close. Now he was falling. Again. Although this time, a few spiky roots were below him. He was going to die. Karz. And as Laki closed his eyes, and cursed his bad luck, he stopped falling. He opened his eyes. He was floating in the air, suspended, it seemed, by his armor. He looked around. There was no one around except a skinny, lithe toa of iron.Ah, Laki thought, that would explain it. The toa lowered him, and Diaku, who seemed not to be dead, to the ground. The both got to their feet, and Laki breathed in a few big breaths of amazement. He was still breathing. He was still living."Much-great ever-thanks to you, toa-hero," he said, walking over to the toa of iron through the swampy muck. "You ever-saved my life," he stated obviously. "I am Laki. Ever-happy to meet you,"OOC: Diaku's an NPC, by the way, so you can make him do whatever you want.
  11. IC:Laki was panicking. He was walking calmly back to his hut when a large explosion rocked the tree. His friend, Diaku had been a few strides in front of him, and they were joking and talking about normal Le-Matoran-y stuff. Then there was a large explosion, and the tree housing Laki's hut fell into the swamp.Diaku fell too. "No!" Laki screamed, and the bridge he was walking from was ripped from one platform, and left Laki hanging in the air. Diaku gave a good scream as he fell, finally landing in the swamp. His home, his possessions, his neighbor, his best friend, all gone. Laki quickly scaled the now vertical bridge, breathing heavy. Now what? Down to the swamp seemed the only option. Laki had survived a fall like that fairly recently, and Diaku might too. He ran across the platform, heading for the nearest exit vine. Bam. Another explosion, and the platform in front of him toppled, soaring down to the ground. He was now stranded. Or would be, if he couldn't climb or jump. He looked around. He couldn't tell where the explosions were coming from, but whoever was making them happen was well hidden. At least from this spot. Laki decided to attempt the jump.
  12. Look around. On some dock somewhere, you'll find a nice pile of bamboo, if my memory is correct. Then you can get the hatchet.Oh, and probably the reason you can only buy a fishhook is that you don't have enough widgets/supplies. Good luck!
  13. Woah! That's cool. It's such a shame that didn't get made. Lego should seriously bring back Johnny.
  14. Sorry my replies are confusing- they're after your bold replies. And yes, i do mean to be slightly sarcastic. That's mostly just me though. I'm also a massive story nut as far as halo goes, so yeah.I should have been more clear originally.
  15. Here's my ingenious theory to the villains of Halo 4 that I've been dying to share: Forerunners. For one, look at the concept art. Doesn't that just scream forerunner stuff? And I think I heard something about seeing actual active forerunner technology in the fourth game. It's also stated that Master Chief will face an 'ancient force'. Forerunners, hmm? And at the beginning of this topic I saw something about Huragok getting recalled. I dearly hope the 'ancient force' is not the flood. They may be one of the coolest villans of all time, but they've been overused.Although it's a shame we won't learn more about the Lekgolo (Hunters). Apparently the Hunter form is only the 'tip of the iceberg'. They also seem to have a cool and undeveloped culture. Reciting poetry and war poems... Hmm.Edit: also, I feel obligated to say the coolest part of Halo is that the sides can be so arbitrary. Master chief allies with both his mortal enemies at least once to stop his other more dangerous moral enemy.
  16. I have to agree with most people here. Increasing the focus of Lego is very good, but we should't change the main focus from Bionicle. Maybe we should fuse some less frequented forums. (Media discussion and digital discussion would be good IMO). I don't think we should change the name, or the main way the forums work. I like the orginazation. Story nerds can stay in S&T forum, construction nerds can stay in Set discussion, and those who have lost interest in Bionicle can stay in Lego discussion. I think the site has already taken big strides towards a more Lego-focused site. Political discussion is a bad idea, I think. Politics is one of those things that people decide, then don't change. Most people have a political view, and can't be convinced to change it. Of course, it's possible and fun to have a good political discussion. But it's also very possible for people to start flaming and get angry, as people have said. Anyway, Bionicle probably doesn't influence politics, so if you want to talk politics, you can go to other sites. But organizing Off Topic Discussion is a good idea. It's a mishmash in there.Anyway. Just my two cents.
  17. There's another topic called 'what can Onua do that Pohatu can't?' or something like that. It answers that very question.
  18. What is this status thing?

    1. Axilus Prime

      Axilus Prime

A place to put random thoughts without cluttering COT. Lol.

  19. Agreed! When I was younger I would buy the characters I thought were cool in the story. Air toa as much as I could. The way the set looked didn't affect me. I loved the Bionicle story and that's why I bought the sets. I liked Knight's Kingdom and it's story as well. Once the story disappeared, I stopped buying the sets.So when Hero Factory's terrible excuse for a story came along, I stopped buying sets.
  20. Oh yes. I have quite the assortment of good quotes:“You can walk out, Roodaka, under your own power, and carry out a mission for some friends of mine, or I can carry you out, plant you in a hole outside, and we’ll see if anything grows.”-Brutaka“Reidak, there’s this new pastime called thinking. You really should try it.”-Thok“Excuse me, oh brutal, blade-wielding, lover of gardening. I have never met any Makuta face to mask and wouldn’t know one if he stepped on me and ground me into the dirt. I think maybe you wanted someone else … I’m Vezon with an ‘n,’ you see, not Vezok with a ‘k,’ and --”-Vezon“Sure! A secret mission means if you get killed, I won’t tell anyone. And you still haven’t answered any of my one-hundred and ten questions, or any of my follow-ups.”-Vezon“We’re going to a place called Destral. If you succeed you live to battle another day. if you fail you die horribly.”-Trinuma“You have no powers. You have no mind. You are about to have no head.”-Tridax to Vezon“And if we refuse? What will you do then, you formless freak?”-Axonn“I should throw off cliffs more often. It’s fun.”-Raidak“They must have heard Lewa tell a story before.”-Onua Nuva“You just saw our technique. We laugh in the face of danger, but sometimes danger doesn't get the joke.”-Pohatu NuvaI don’t care if it sings, dances, and can juggle Kanohi blindfolded. Can it get us out of here?-Toa IruniAlthough I'm sure there are plenty of bad ones.
  21. Exactly. If I were Greg, I'd whip together some nice endings to the serials as fast as possible. It's one thing to be slow, another to wait half a year to update. I understand his troubles, but it seems like he has no extra time now and should end Bionicle as soon as he possibly can, and then we'll have closure and such.
  22. Fist Pump!!!I never thought I'd see lego do this! I thought Lord of the Rings was too adult, too serious, too violent, but Lego's making Lord of the rings sets! Yes!!Elves and Dwarves and Aragorn and Ents, and Sauron and Gandalf and that Rohan armor and orcs... I might start seriously buying some sets here. Wow.Sadly, I have a bad feeling the sets will be as exciting and good as the Pirates of the Caribbean sets, and last just as long.
  23. I too agree that minecraft lego will not work. For one, Minecraft is very terrain driven. Rarely do you find naturally made buildings. Now, Lego rarely makes buildings; it's likely they'd make so much terrain in a lego set. Even if they did, it would just be a pile of dirt or sand or netherrack colored bricks that are connected, and the piece count would be very large. And Lego is more realistic looking than mine craft; they'd have to take a step back to make terrain and buildings less smooth and more blocky. Minecrafts bricks are much more detailed too, it would be expensive to make that many printed 2x2 bricks. What makes minecraft good is the cool mechanic of building and mining. Lego's about a different mechanic of building- the only part of mine craft Lego sets would incorporate would be the storyline and locations. Minecraft locations don't transfer well into lego, and the story is minecraft's weakest point. They are similar, but not... compatible.
  24. I'd go with a few-Electricity: Because is you've seen the Avatar:the last airbender series, you'd know what I'm talking about. Teleportation: Because teleporting around the battlefield super-fast and slitting peoples throats quickly one after another is really cool. Or grabbing them, telporting into the sky, and then teleporting yourself back to safety. That's awesome too.Gravity- 'cause it's like telekinesis. And telekinesis, IMO, is the coolest power ever known the mankind. ( uber powerful too)
