  1. ICVerak raised his eyebrows at both's descriptions. "Hm." an interesting crew. "What sort of debt, may I ask?"
  2. ...This forum is so off topic.Anyway, anyone have any seafaring characters with a ship near or in Po-koro's shipyards? A trio of characters is headed there right now, searching for fast money.
  3. The silence stretched on for a long time, until Verak finally turned and said, "Well, you two were havin' a fine discussion before I broke in! Don't mind me; carry on. And feel free to introduce yourselves. As I've said, I'm Verak, a wanderer- adventurer, if ye will. And you are...?"
  4. IC"Very well. Follow me, brothers- well, brother and sister, excuse me." The toa walked confidently through the gate of Po-Koro leaving the village behind almost as soon as he entered it, his two companions in tow.About a minute later, Verak asked, "Well, I forgot to ask. how rude- what're yer names?"
  5. IC"Very well. The shipwards are a ways away, but the walk shouldn't be too bad. Unless you know of a closer place...?" Verak asked, paused midstep.
  6. IC"Might not need to resort to that, brother- I bet the shipyards are willing to pay a few widgets for an extra hand."
  7. IC"Well then! Were all in the same boat, brothers. Broke! I'm sure we could find some prospective employers somewhere."
  8. Verak finished his mug and strode out onto the steet outside, an eye out for travelers. Unusually, no-one in the bar was unusual. Just boring old Po-Matoran.On the street, a vibrant blue toa of fire and a shorter toa of iron were discussing something. Verak stretched and walked over to the two."Hello there, my two fine travelers! My name's Verak, and I wondering if you've seen Taipu around recently. He's been missin', and I'm wonderin' where he went. Also, I'm on the hunt for a few spare widgets, so if yer feelin' charatable or have any good work opportunites, I'd be pleased to hear 'em."OOCAuRon and Zyke, Verak in interacting with your characters.
  9. ICSand. It was everywhere. Beneath your armor, In your joints, ground into your pores and gears... there was no escaping it. Is was tiny, with the consistency of water. And like water, it coated you. Unlike water, it didn't evaporate. It slowly shed off you, getting itself into every house or room or city you went to.Verak was one of the few who could get rid of it. Activating his elemental power of stone, he pulled out every mineral of sand he could sense on his person, letting it all slough off onto the desert ground. He looked up. Po-Koro loomed large in from of him. Two guards paced in front of the town's towering stone gateway. The Toa nodded to one of the guards who glared back. The two knew each other a little too well.Verak paused for a moment and looked around the dusty old Koro. It was good to be back. He pushed through the marketplace, ignoring the salesman's cries. He was headed to his favorite part of any Koro- the bar. The Toa ordered a large pint and sat in a corner, slowly sipping it, looking around the old place. Eyes out for notable figures. He needed some excitement in his life.OOC Open for interaction
  10. ICLaki hid among the corpses of the fallen. The thick, tangy, warm scent of blood hung in the air like smoke, filling the mouths of all who breathed. The matoran crouched behind an especially large Nui Rama which was still smoking from the fireball which had hit it’s head. He peered over the body. Nui Rama still assaulting the ground troops. He ducked back down.Just needed to stay hidden and safe.A Rama flew overhead, searching the plain for survivors or medics. Laki stayed still, hoping the green and red blood coating his body would mark him as dead. The Rama came back, closer to the ground, eye’s glittering in the late afternoon sun. Laki stayed still, but the Rama was coming right for him. Was it just coincidence? He wasn’t going to take the chanceLaki took off running, and the insect immediately followed him. The matoran swore under his breath. The Rama was getting closer. Laki turned, threw one of his returning throwing disks, and knocked off a mask. He caught the projectile and turned. Then he tripped. The matoran slammed into the ground, and the Nui-Rama caught up to him. It Raised it’s stinger, and Laki helplessly tried to grab his dropped disks. Then some sort of signal reached it’s ears, for it buzzed away into the sky. The Matoran stood up, to find that all the Rama had vanished. Flying away."Good afternoon," A voice boomed out across the clearing. The voice was smooth, charming, and charismatic. Laki felt a liking to the voice instantly. Like he would follow the man anywhere. "What a beautiful day it has been. Evening has approached early; I suppose I should say, 'good evening,' everyone. Now, if you don't mind, I would appreciate your attention for just a few minutes. I think you'll find this to be important,"Laki gave the voice his full attention, although at the same time wondering what happened to the insects. Did the voice manage to use his charm to call them off or something?“My lord Makuta was impressed by all of you," the voice continued. "Impressed by your delusions, by your stupidity, by your idiocy.” Laki tilted his head. His lord Makuta? The voice wasn’t good- it was the sound of evil. The voice of his enemy. And the voice was immeasurably charming. As the speech wore on, Laki couldn’t help but laugh when the voice laughed, and agree with what the voice said. Although he knew the speaker was evil and a servant of the Makuta, he wanted to work with him, to help the other side.He couldn’t help but fight internally. As the speech wore on, Laki placed the speaker- he cut a dashing figure standing atop the side with the sun at his back. Then Laki saw a nightmare. Six Rahkshi were holding the six turaga. And as he watched, the Turaga transformed into monsters, ripped the Rahkshi limb from limb, and bounded down into the troops. The speaker disappeared and the troops shouted in surprise, barking orders and relaying messages.Laki ducked down behind the Nui-Rama, froze in horror. What was he going to do? The Turaga were monsters, and… now what? Would he run to safety? Or try and help the ground troops? The matoran hung back, still watching.
  11. I did that... BEFORE IT WAS COOL. I remember that! Laki still has those somewhere!I feel so special...Also- huzzah for progression of Rama hive attack! I never ever would had predicted this...
  12. Oh no! Bones doesn't have the answer!Anyway, I'm pretty sure that it's been confirmed you can fly with Rhotuka. That was a sort of major plot point in the movie, and I seem to remember that the Rahaga were confirmed to use their rhotuka to fly. Or maybe they didn't fly at all, and that was all just artistic license...
  13. ICLaki struggled as the Rama holding him soared into the clearing of the hive. The Le-Matoran was panicking- Rama were everywhere, and there were no trees to cushion his potential fall. Still, he couldn't get to his disks. Why hadn't he pulled them out earlier? Then a sturdy matoran disk hit the side of the Nui-Rama, stunning but not hurting it. Laki silently thanked the unseen Gukko force member as he pushed the monster's claws away and pulled out his disk. Without warning, he buried the disk into the monster's wrist. The Rama screeched and it's claw involuntarily recoiled in pain. Laki dropped from the thing's claws, pulled to the ground by the inescapable force of gravity. He was a bit high though. Even for a Le-Matoran. He twisted and looked down, watching Nui-Rama, the stragglers, dart across his field of vision. He reached out and tried to grab hold of one, but it was too fast. He had to cross his fingers and hope…He collided with a tiny Rama, a baby, which had escaped from the hive and was buzzing about ,confused. Laki's lungs were rapidly compressed and his mask almost flew off in the impact. He couldn't hear or see anything through the pain, but he was mainly intact. Laki and the newborn plummeted to the ground, where the Le-Matoran hit hard, fortunately cushioned by a large pile of bodies. The baby rama was crushed. He rolled off and landed in the muck caused by the bodily fluids. He took a few deep breaths. Focus, he told himself. He needed to get up and move. He was in a war zone. He tried, and his lunch was rapidly ejected from his stomach. Laki hadn't hurt near this much since he fell off of Le-Koro's higher branches. And this was far worse. It was a good thing the baby Rama's outer shell hadn't hardened yet. he didn't want to imagine the injuries he would have sustained from that impact. He finally forced himself to stand up, and almost slipped in his own vomit.Smoke and bodies obscured his vision, but he could see that he was away from the main battle. The forces were either in the tunnel, hidden from his view by a cloud of Rama, or further off, where a group of Toa were fighting something. Fighting a… another Toa? One that could teleport? A dive-bombing Rama brought Laki to his senses. The Le-matoran darted out of the way and threw one of his returning disks at it. The disk knocked off one of the rama's infected masks, and stunned the Rahi. Laki snatched the disk as it arced back to him and took the opportunity to dive into a pile of dead insects. He stayed perfectly still, trying to ignore the blood and smell. The Rama flew away, no doubt looking for more dangerous foes to combat. the maotrna of air waited a few seconds before digging himself out of the disgusting hiding place. He didn't think he could make it to the forest without being attacked again. Hiding in the bodies was the smartest action now. The matoran grimaced and stayed down near the bodies, fighting hard not to throw up again.OOCLaki is now officially in the Rama attack! Hiding and cowering, but a member of the attack nonetheless.
  14. ICLaki was on a walk. It helped clear his head, being amongst the trees, nothing but wildlife and the wild forest. For all it’s dangers, Mata-Nui was a beautiful island. He would be back in a few minutes, but for now, he needed to focus. Matau was gone. So what? The village life would go on as normal. Besides offer the occasional word of wisdom, the Turaga didn’t do much for the village. Manage the different task forces? Matoran did that. Make executive decisions? What executive decisions? The Koro was practically self-automated.His most common role was that of a storyteller. Telling tales of the new heroes who would rise up and defeat makuta. He gave hope. False hope too, Laki believed. The le-matoran was a realist, and the last ‘great heroes’ were crushed by the power of Makuta. Better tell people to live with the way it was.A tiny voice in Laki’s head wondered if the village, or the island even, might be better without Turaga, but he hastily pushed the thought aside. That was an Evil thought. Then he heard something and all his senses snapped to attention- the faint buzzing of a Rama. Getting closer, fast. He dove to the ground just as the monster flew over his head.Since when did Rama get this close to the Koro? It had happened recently in Le-Koro’s slums, too. What was Maktua up to?But Laki had no time to think. The insect was back, this time homing in on the matoran. He shot up a tree as fast as the average matoran could run and leapt to the next one. The Rama slammed through the branches behind him, spraying wood chips everywhere. The matoran jumped to the next branch, landed, and jumped again, flying through the trees. The Rama was faster, and gave no thought to things like obstacles. It blasted through the canopy, leaving huge splinters and vibrant green plants in it’s wake, almost like a smoke trail. Laki kept on running. The Rama was almost to him.The Matoran leapt sideways and caught hold of a vine, rapidly spinning around and turning 180 degrees. Then the vine snapped. Laki reached a hand up to grasp a branch, but he was falling too fast. That’s when the Nui-Rama’s claws closed around his waist, and the Rahi flew upwards. With a burst of leaves, it soared above the canopy, speeding towards its home. Laki could barely make out the individual trees below. It looked more like a lush, green landscape. He looked up at the creature. It wasn’t looking at him, it was looking ahead. Taking the matoran to the Rama hive. There he could see what looked like a living, black cloud of nui rama, buzzing angrily as a smaller shapes swooped and dived around it. The assault on the hive. The most dangerous part of the forest. A mountain of monsters. Why the Rama was taking him there- to feed it’s young or infect his mask or some other dark motive he didn’t wish to guess-Laki didn’t care. He just needed to get away.He couldn’t reach his disks though. His arms were pinned tight, preventing any hope of movement. He wiggled. The creatures grip tightened. He stayed there in increasing horror as they approached the looming hive. He could now make out the small hills of dead- both rama and matoran. He could see the flying disks and screaming invaders, as well as the screeches and growls of the defending Rama. It was the most frightening, awful, gruesome sight the matoran had every seen. And he was going to be taken to the center of it.OOCFigured I might as well throw my character into the most dangerous and exciting event in the game (currently).
  15. ICLaki walked to another large platform, seeing little travelers. There were a few groups of merchants, but they had recently arrived. No luck there. He spotted Boran, and waved the Matoran over. "Boran! How goes it?" Laki asked."Much-well, Laki. Better if Turaga Matau was here to guide us through these dark-times. I am sorry-sad to see him vanished." born replied glumly"Vanished? Turaga-elder gone?""Traders say Nokama gone from seaside Ga-Koro too.""What? How didn't I hear of this?""I know-not. Were you not long-time spending in Le-Koro?""yes, but…."Matau's disappearance troubled Laki deeply. He didn't know why. But Matau had been a fixture, an essential part of his universe. He couldn't believe he was gone. Taken by Makuta's servants. "We need to fast-find him!" He said."But we are normal-average matoran. Already a detective-team working on it, but found-nothing. As if the Turaga instant-vanished.""Maybe I could spot-see something-""They're professionals. Work-leave to them.""I need to do something!""Laki, there's nothing-much we can do. Just do you're work-job. I must fast-get to elevators." Boran walked away.Laki frowned. He didn't think he could just go back to his average job and ignore the leaders absence. He had to think. Where would Makuta take the Turaga? Kini-Nui? If nobody in le-Koro knew where the Tuaga was, he would find somebody who did.
  16. Hey, my little Le-Matoran character didn't miss any important Rama attacks or explosions or exceptional fights or whatever which might have happened in Le-koro, did he? I can't bring myself to look through the few hundred pages of posts.I left many months ago, so basically any recent news would do.
  17. ICLaki placed his last pot on the newly crafted shelf. He had finally moved in! Although his new house was smaller than the old one, it was in a more convenient spot, close to the center of the Koro. Scavenging his old furniture and buying new ones had taken longer than he thought, and the bat-things which had destroyed his house had also caused lots of damage to the rest of Le-Koro, and caused his work load to double.Between work, shopping, and building the new house, it had taken him ages to get moved in. But he was finished! And he had a few days off. Le-Koro was in good condition right now.One thing he wanted to do with these few days was travel. Get to Ga-Koro or Onu-Koro and see more of the island. He was only a matoran, so travel was especially dangerous for him. Maybe he could find some toa or traveling party and hitch a ride with them. He had recently been tempted to help join the party seiging the Rama hive, but ended up staying in boring old Le-koro to finish moving. "That's me," he muttered, "Moving furniture instead of fighting Rahi and saving Mata Nui."The matoran of air grabbed his two metallic throwing disks made for him during the siege by the bat-things. They were amazing, spiked throwing disks which returned. He kept good care of them, and kept them on him as much he could.Soon he was in the bustling main square of Le-Koro, eyes open for a group of travelers.OOCSearching for interaction...
  18. As for Amon, I also believe his backstory- I don't think he's any character we've met yet, and I think he is trying to do the right thing. That's what makes him a far better villain than Ozai. I don't think Amon is energy bending either-no flashy lights like with Aang. the source of his powers is an intriguing mystery. Also, along the lines of book 2, does anybody know if they'll change enemies? Or will Amon's equalist uprising be the antagonists for the rest of the show?I'm not really sure where that thought came from. Must have been something I read.
  19. Okay, my question is what will book two be called? We've had books named after all four elements now, and Korra, if she masters air bending by the end of book 1 (which, book one being called 'air', I assume she will) won't need to learn any more bending arts. Or will she...?So ah, relevant and plot changing questions here. Oh, the mystery!(also, I might almost like Korra more that ATLA. I don't know why.)
  20. I played, and the graphics are amazing for a free lego game. It also may be the glitchiest game i've every played. It has a nasty habit of freezing up whenever I fight a boss. Like, freeze up in nothing moves and I have to restart it. Since I can't defeat any bosses, it slightly impeded my progress. Also, the way you can't walk and shoot at the same time and the little shoot-bar beneath your character are both annoying. I think the shoot-bar could be simplified and sleeked up. If you've played the game, you probably know what I'm talking about.Ahh, macs. (that was sarcasm)
  21. Wait, what? Am I living in some sort of alternate universe where Toy Story had violence and Transformers flopped?!Anyway, I think this might be interesting. I've never been a big fan of Hero Factory (although to be honest I haven't seen any of the TV show) so this sort of movie spotlight might be good for it.It also might get dropped and all this speculation will be pointless.
  22. I wrote up a big post about how Faxons are confusing masks and have a blurry line between what powers they could use and what powers they couldn't, but I answered all my questions as I wrote my post. -_-Anyway, in short, the Faxon is a confusing mask because some Rahi in the MU had 'powers' like those which come from masks. These have nothing to do with the Rahi's body structure. Hali can mimic these because it doesn't involve changing her body structure. Things like breathing come from body structures, things like laser vision usually don't.
  23. DEADPOOL!!! You can't beat a useless idiot who is totally insane, invincible, has up to 71 personalities, and can (and does) lobotomize amd nuke himself. And he argues with the artists, and can break the 4th wall. My signature should be a deadpool quote.
  24. Wow! nobody's commented on that poster witht he whale that faber said he's been planning for 6 years.THAT looks cool. It'd be like bionicle, but different. wow.
  25. I can say without doubt that Firefly has themes far too mature for Lego's target audience. Unlike Prince of Peria, or even Indiana Jones, Firefly has obvious sexual themes. One of the main characters, Inara, (in episode one at least) is a... err... 'Companion', and her job is not just sidetracked and part of her backstory.I agree with Lego Bricks decision to censor itAlso, some posts earlier suggest Inara's profession is not overtly shown. The first scene Inara features in is one of her practicing her profession. How's that for non-child appropriate?
