  1. Sweet. If this is the standard around here, I need to up my game before I post any MOCs. Nice take on the 'Time Paradox' theme with this beautiful rendition of Ignika. All sorts of places it could've gone wrong... but it didn't. That is what makes it stand out. It is perfection.
  2. I thought something was fishy when I entered a 200-point code and got 400. May I point out (no pun intended) that in-game points from collecting bones are doubled, too? I mean, for every 1000 bone points, you get 2 upgrade points, not one.EDIT: LOL! WORT WORT WORT (post above) has my post count REVERSED!Me: 107W.W.W.:701**details correct at time of publishing
  3. Sweet stuff, brother. I've fancied myself as a comic artist, and this deserves more attention than my work at least. Interesting how the parts are set-like, but flow into an organic look. Better than sprites any day.
  4. Hm. Interesting. Very interesting... LEGO (or whoever is producing the thing) has two choices, the way I see it: [*]Have people lolloping around in Hero suits,[*]Or, more realistically, use real-life backgrounds and support cast, but have motion-capture CGI for the main cast.Let's hope it's more Transformers and less Power Rangers. The top-notch Hollywood-type stuff sounds like it could work, but, and this is becoming a topic cliché now, it has a lot of room to fail. Better this does than BIONICLE, though.
  5. Ah, what can't be fixed with a dollop of nostalgia, eh? This video really packs a lot in, but I'm surprised how much of it was just common videos we have seen before. And confirmation of the Mata Nui robot concept from the beginning? Sweet. Nothing else.
  6. Hey, I was going to make one of these! :closedeyes:Although, mine wouldn't turn out anywhere near as good as this, congrats. And you used BLENDER to design this? Good grief. You are one skilled craftsman. When I do start Nuhrii's Forge (see my blog for details) this would be a useful product to sell, if you permit us to.Sweet design, beautiful finish!
  7. Recently, I had an idea. An idea that, I think, is better than the usual junk I come up with. How about, instead of LDD updates bringing new parts in and deleting old ones, users could download extension packs containing parts they want. That way, we could get more parts available but a smaller initial download file size. For example:Say Joe wanted to use LDD to combine Hero Factory with Technic. He does not have LDD yet, but his friends tell him it's great. So he goes to www.LEGO.com, and finds what he's looking for. He clicks download. He's surprised at how quickly it loaded. When he opens it, he is prompted to start building by getting parts packs. He sees two, marked Hero Factory 2010-12 and Technic 2012. A short download later, he's ready to let his imagination run like Black Bess.I'd put this on Cuusoo, but alas, I am not 18 yet. What do you think of this idea? (And please don't fill this topic with statements about how 'it's not profitable any more')EDIT: 101st post! Woo!
  8. I think it makes perfect sense to change back to 2.0, the numbers were (already) getting out of hand. 3.0 was a temporary upgrade given to only six Heroes, which barely improved upon the 2.0 design anyway. Unless a real 3.0 comes out, I'm glad the numbers are gone. Also, Rocka in the Recon team, eh? Sounds interesting, and would completely explain him getting all those beta upgrades before the Alpha team.Love this episode, can't wait for it to be aired in English!
  9. WOW. Just plain WOW.This takes dedication, skill, patience, a love of BIONICLE, and a bunch of other stuff I'm too lazy to mention right now.Well done.
  10. I bet they'd hack it to bits with an axe. :PNah, I think this would actually work, because I have a theory:Instead of begging LEGO to make media, we should get permission from LEGO to get it made ourselves. If a bunch of us chip in, we could perhaps raise enough funding to do something like this. I like the idea of anime, but the characters MUST be non-human CONSTANTLY. None of the human-with-armour stuff we've seen all too much of.Keeping to canon, like books that never got a spotlight or the online serials sounds nice too, and works with the episodic nature of TV. Hewkii and Macku need a romance element, even if no other guys do.
  11. Right, my brother got the new Rocka today and I think he's epic. But, flicking through the instructions I found a surprise: in the advert for the core code gamey points thingamajig, there were pictures of a HF game, so similar to Breakout, yet so different.EDIT: Picture now! This game looked interesting. It had pictures of Stormer 2.0 battling minions in a volcano, a green factory and a winter wonderland. The enemies all looked like something I've seen in a leaked picture of the summer I will not name, and there was a powerup bar at the bottom.Intriguing.I think this is a prototype for a second Breakout game, where you can unlock different variations of Heroes (1.0, 2.0, 3.0, Breakout etc.)Reasons it might be what I just said: [*]Black Phantom escapes in the current Breakout game and you don't catch him[*]Breakout is expected to continue through summer[*]It's on the back of Rocka's bag and in the instructions, keep in mind this is a month after the current game was releasedLet's be hoping these aren't prototypes for the current game. What do you think?
  12. I'm voting for this. Thresher is, in my mind, an unsung hero. (No pun on 'Hero' intended)
  13. Hmm. Interesting. I always had an idea that Glatorian had some distilled power that, over millennia, had become weak and uncontrollable, though now I think more about it, I have a more detailed theory: [*]When the GBs created Toa, they based them on Glatorian, right down to the DNA structure (or Bionicle equivalent)[*]The Mask of Life was created with certain behaviours to apply to certain beings, e.g. most Toa would have an elemental boost, or generally fixed, most other species would get a curse, etc.[*]When the Ignika came into contact with the Glatorian, it recognised them as Toa (because of the DNA equivalent similarities) and detected a blockage in elemental flow, so it ignited their elemental sparks, not realising they had none in the first place.[*]With full elemental power, it detected their 'normal' statuses.Still, only GregF can decide the truth. Nice theory!
  14. Yay! BP! But seriously, the build is such a cheap reuse. Seeing what they could do with Doctor Bones (My name for Witch Doctor) it is a disappointment. Let's look forward to greater developments in Hero Factory. I like HF almost half as much as Bionicle now. That mace doesn't seem too bad to me, but I don't have the set yet so I can't judge these guys. Oh, and Arachnix is sooooooo cute!
  15. Well, I always saw Pohatu as controlling, as everyone before me said, solid rocks. I thought this included sand (which is tiny pieces of rock) but since BS01 is still getting back in it's stride, I can't check. Onua does the mud and soil, and seismic quakes. As for physical strength, I think Pohatu = Onua + Pakari.I believe Kanohi grant the Mata powers they lack in, but will need, as in:Without a Hau, Tahu is rubbish at defense.Without a Kaukau, Gali can't breath underwater.Without a Pakari, Onua is weak.Without a Kakama, Pohatu is clunky and slow.Without a Miru, Lewa can't take to the air.Without an Akaku, Kopaka is bad at seeing what is not obvious.
  16. Nice work, fellas! I have downloaded pretty much everything my computer can handle without bursting from your site. The comics take, like, five hours to download on my (rural) broadband, though, so you should consider breaking it down into smaller chunks, like series or story years. KUTGW!
  17. Hey, I'm sure I replied to this awhile ago... my post has gone AWOL.What I did say was that I am starting my own little Kustom Kanohi™ (Don't steal that, it's MY trademark) business myself, selling only castings. Due to shipping charges, though, I will only be open to UK and EU residents. I've no idea how your customers afford to ship from all over the world. It will, if an obvious copy of your original name, be called Nuhrii's Forge™ (Again, my trademark.) and I am determined to live up to your benchmark of standards. Hey, if all goes well, we could set up a partnership... for now, I'm just finding a UK-based supplier for materials. Still, see you around, and happy customization!
  18. No, if the Ignika could sing, there would only be one song on it's mind: I got the power!
  19. Wow... I love this guy's asymmetrical...ness. And that mask - finally, there is a use for those axle slots on the side of the head! One thing that is great about this wave is that not all the Heroes are the same size, and they paired small villains with large Heroes and vice-versa. Except Rocka and BP. They work well as they are.
  20. Same here. After I upgrade the weapon, it won't let the character move. Saving is now up, but since I can't get past the first level anymore it doesn't matter. TLG should've done more beta testing before the release.
  21. Well, I am still here for the BIONICLE. I have partially moved on, but if it wasn't for the reason BZP started, I wouldn't be here.
  22. Well, at first I logged in and the message still wouldn't budge, then when I played it without saving it froze up because Zib forgot to tell me I could now blast the wall.Today, I can't log in on chrome at all, but IE works for this. Still won't save, though.EDIT: I found out why chrome won't log in. It's because I saved the webpage to my hard disk and had it logged in on that.
  23. Well, I once left my Brutaka on a shelf and ten seconds later he had raised his weapon ready to hit me in the back. :PBut apart from that, I keep finding krana in my scrabble set.
