MNOLG, MNOLG II and VNOLG despite their glitches, left out short comings and deadline cut-offs were/are still very charming.

Bionicle the Game... well, when it came out and I got it I was amazed about it right till the end of Tahu's level and a small bit of dissapointment started creeping in and became pretty big when I finished the game about two weeks later...

Now I when I compair the two (LoMN and BtG) the only thing I can think of BtG is superior in is the fact that the characters don't look like lego models, and I can't think for any reason why they would've actually cancelled the game (besides the 9/11 thing, butI really don't see a connection. Its not like Call of Duty or Land Sea and Air got cancelledthen right?).

Is there any footage of e3 2001? Maybe someone recorded it.
I researched this and found an artical which may be talking about the glitch at the end of Onua level right before he fights the mud monster. http://www.gamevorte...s_bionicle.html

I found no mention of it.
It does say that the game was going to be huge, and considering the technology then, I'm inclined to believe it would've been (compaired to Bionicle The game wich has only, what, like 9 levels!?).

Actually, there is a mention. Check out the second to last sentence: "The part that I saw was nice-looking, impossible jump aside."

MNOLG, MNOLG II and VNOLG despite their glitches, left out short comings and deadline cut-offs were/are still very charming.

Those games you mention have nothing at all to do with the concerns of a toy company about its reputation of being kid-friendly and free of violence.

VNOLG has combat, so does MNOLG in the end.

The the Kaita fight cut scene is violent enough too.

VNOG was years later, and MNOG has cartoon violence at worst. Compared to CoD, no contest, plus the companies are completely different.

I think that we've made that clear.

I'm going to be busy with family matters for a while. Please be patient with responses to PMs, posts, etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can also be found under the username Azani on SolisMagna.com and the BioMediaProject forums. Check out SolisMagna.com, as it is exactly what we need to maintain interest in Bionicle. Also, I highly recommend Check out the script for Mysterious Island, an adaption/reboot of the 2001 Bionicle story which I am writing. It's also a musical.

Bionicle is returning in 2015!

I think I should preface this with a note that, if you have a copy of this game, please contact me! I'm your best chance of unlocking the entire gameplay!

I've successfully worked out the BLK format, extracted onua.blk, and uploaded the contents. You can grab a copy here.

The .x files are Direct X binary model files, as we already believed. Here are the interesting ones.

Onua:

Onua's claw:

Onua's mask:

Different expressions:

Other masks:

A mud ball?:

Rope:

There are some other files also, that appear to be custom data files for defining the level. Reversing them will require a copy of the game. Also, if we ever do get a copy of the game, I will publish a tool that can unpack the BLK archives and create new ones (unless it will run without archiving).

Wow, it's amazing how much this looks like ShaggyNerds recreations! A mudball would make sense seeing as the boss was a mud monster, The ruru and the huna were the two Kanhoi featured in DeepBricks walkthrough. That huna needs a lot of work... lol. Does it come with any textures?

I don't think so but it's possible some of the unknown files are textures.

Just for the record, I did some searching and found that the game would have been $24:95 at the time of release. :P

It's a shame this game hasn't been made available yet, but it's entirely possible we will see it yet.

Just wondering, where did the files we do have come from?

And also, my opinion of BtG is it wasn't that bad, infact it was my favorite of the Bionicle games...

Cost then: $24.95

Cost today: priceless to Bionicle fans.

The files we have come from DeepBrick who leaked them from his save file. Unfortunately, that is all he disclosed. :(

I have been talking to a couple of the devolepers and, basically, the entire wiki page is compleatly false.

This is a tad off topic, but still somewhat on topic. I was reading more about the game, and heard something about a WTC thing. This is the quote:

"The rumors that were reported to me included large numbers of programming bugs, inability to meet LEGO® quality standards, and, rather disgustingly, possible similarities to the WTC disaster. The WTC link is completely untrue, and whatever sick individuals thought it would be amusing to start spreading that sort of rumor really need to stop"

Doing a tad bit more research, I think it has to do with the Word Trade Centers.

But what were they talking about involving the WTC? Anyone know?

Partially true, the economy was slowed down which resulted in loss of funding.
