If the full gamut of DC Universe superheroes in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham wasn't enough for you, it turns out Adam West has a part to play in the new game as well, as himself. Based on the teaser image TT Games posted, it looks like there will be a playable Adam West character in the game, perhaps in a similar vein to Stan Lee appearing in the latest Marvel release. I hope so, too, and I wonder if he will be like Stan: having many superpowers, or just have Batman's abilities and equipment because he played Batman in an old Batman TV series in the 1900's. I so wanted there to be an unlockable cheat that did that in the original Lego Batman. It might be a little distracting, but it'd be both hilarious and optional. Unfortunately, no dice. I hope we get to see Peter in Lego Batman 4: Attack on Chickens... oh wait that not a real game coming out . But for real I hope we see another person in a LEGO Game like George Lucas in Lego Star Wars 4 or hope NOT michael bay in a LEGO TMNT >. The main complication with releasing figs of folks like Adam West or Stan Lee is that they're not included in the Super Heroes license—as real=world celebrities, they own their own image, so a separate license negotiation would have to take place for Lego to legally be able to sell figs of them. It's still possible, but I wager that having to negotiate such a license (and probably pay additional fees for it) is likely enough of a turn-off for Lego.
