I'm sure a lot of older BZP members expected me to come back and crack it when Bionicle was announced to end AGAIN. I feel that now is as good a time as ever to let rip about what I really feel about the end result. When Bionicle came back last year as a hard reboot, I actually felt the Bring Back Bionicle Club FAILED in its mission. I don't know about the rest of you, but I was campaigning for a continuation/soft reboot, and opposed a hard reboot. A successful campaign in my eyes would've mea
...since my grandmother died. My grandmother was a semi-famous poet, who at one point had her own poetry segment on radio station 3AW. She was even on TV once! She was the sister of famous author Frank Hardy and former queen of Australian television Mary Hardy. I wrote a poem of my own about her for her funeral last year, which I will share here:
My application process at V/Line is over. They rejected my application after the latest test. Now i just have to worry about the position at Metro, which I should hear about in 3-4 weeks.
Okay, so I was wrong. Turns out my dad brought his laptop and wireless Internet on holidays with us! Okay, so yesterday dad and I walked to the nearby station and took it to Southern Cross station, which took about an hour. The train trip was quick because it was the biggest express on the line, bypassing 10 stations, and not taking the City Loop! When we arrived at Southern Cross, the diesel train that would take us to Sydney was already there, on the platform on the other side of the stat
In entries past I expressed my interest in working in the rail industry. Something I didn't mention (I haven't got a clue why) is that I applied online for a position as conductor at V/Line a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I got an e-mail saying my application was accepted! THAT made my day! Today, for the next part of my application process, I had to do an aptitude test, which was divided into a verbal test, a numeric test and an error checking test. I had to answer a series of questions i
I just played a new game on the official Pokemon website that will allow me to get an Eevee evolution with a unique ability when the Global Link finally gets up and running, and the Eeveelution I won was ESPEON!
While Espeon normally have the special ability Synchronise, which copies most status (like poison) that is inflicted on it, this Espeon will have the epic ability Magic Mirror, which reflects ANYTHING used against it that doesn't do damage. Try to poison it with Toxic? You get poisone
Last year, one of my assignments for TAFE was to hand-code a website for a real company. I submitted the website for my selected company, and passed that assignment. It was then left to them to sort out uploading it to the Internet. I just got an e-mail from them last night, saying they've still yet to upload it. I'll be seeing them this afternoon to try and answer questions they have for me. Wish me luck!
Looking for untouched Brave Hitmontop with Mach Punch and Intimidate, untouched Adamant/Brave Dream World Murkrow (with Prankster), untouched Quiet Heatran with Eruption, and White Herb. MUST BE LEGIT, as these are for this Sunday's tournament!
Because every Pokémon fan knew there'd be huge reception. OK, my opinions on this new game are: 1) THAT WAS QUICK! A new generation only two years after the release of the previous! 2) This is the first generation EVER where the first revealed Pokémon are its starters! 3) I believe Pokémon sprites as we know them are no more. There is WAY too much animation now! 4) WILL MACHOP AND THE EEVEELUTIONS BE AVAILABLE??? 5) on the topic of Machop's availability, it may be a version exclusive, whose
Nintendo's doing a 'business announcement' about Pokémon in 2 and a quarter hours (3pm Japan time, 4pm Australian time). The last time something like this happened, LEGO got rid of Bionicle. Could the same thing happen to Pokémon? It might explain the lack of a main series game announcement prior to this year's World Championships.
One thing I love about BZPower is that we're allowed to point new users in the right direction when they make mistakes. We're not allowed to do that on any other forum I frequent; they all call it minimodding, and infract you for it. Here, it is actually ENCOURAGED, because the staff here know that it makes their job easier.
I may be able to use the main computer at our house, but I still feel I can't do much without my laptop. I need to get a couple of Pokemon through trades, but if I go on my DS (I'll need it and my computer at the same time), people will think I'm off the computer, and take it from me. Also, my Warcraft 3 maps on here are way out of date, further limiting what I can do. Many other plans are made hard to do too, like updating for the Bring Back Bionicle Club and organising various craft commisions
I'm trying to make and battle teams for the Pokemon Video Game World Championships (or at least an Australian tournament that may use those rules), but I'm failing SPECTACULARLY!!!!! I am currently in the bottom 50 in the server's rankings! Worse, no-one wants to tutor me, so I can't get better!
Tomorrow I go on a diesel train trip to Shepparton. That's when I'll do the job application at V/Line. My dad printed two resumes yesterday, so I guess I could use the second resume to apply at Metro too. Metro is in charge of train services within the Melbourne Metropolitan area.
...I think the login issue wih the Archives has been solved! It may be old news, but I only noticed when I clicked on the new link on the new forum's home page. Whether or not that new addition solved the problem, I don't know, but it still looks like it has been solved, because I can access the archives without getting logged off! Thank you staff for fixing it!
...cuz it was updated on the TAFE's website at long last. As mentioned earlier, I'm doing a Game Development course. The description recently added to the site mentions the three roles of game development: Games Designer - comes up with the game play ideas, perhaps story line Games Programmer - the programmer actually constructs the game code Games Artist - creates all the art assets for the game While they all look fun, I believe Game Design would suit me best, as that's where the most cr
I'd like to add some official Bionicle flash games to my website, such as the MNOLG, the Command Toa Mahri games and the Phantoka minigames. How might I go about doing this? Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
Thirty years ago, an army of evil Digimon called the Digital Villainy declared war on the toy civilisations of our world. They would've taken over the world too, had it not been for the interference of a group called The Jigsaw Of Rebecca. Despite heavy losses, they were able to force the Digital Villainy back into the DigiWorld.
Now, the Digital Villainy have returned, and threaten to wage war against the world once again! The following members have been sighted in south-eastern Australia tr
I just came home from my final TAFE class. However, it is not over yet. I still have to do a couple more things for my last class, which I will have to hand in by Sunday Australian time (Saturday everywhere else).
According to a REALLY old video from the Wiggles (I think it was their first) called "Wiggle Time", November 3 is Dorothy the Dinosaur's birthday! Judging by the release of the video in 1993 that reveals that she turned 5, she would turn 23 today.
After lunch today, I'll be off to apply for part-time work at a fast food restaurant called Red Rooster. There's a new one recently opened up at the nearby shopping centre. In the past, I felt I was above getting work at fast food restaurants. Now, having never worked for money at the age of 20, I'm desperate.
