YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!   EXCUSE TO DRAW BIOMECHANIZED SHARKS!   I absolutely refuse to draw a mermaid.   REFUUUUUUUUUUUSE!   But yeah. I'm working on it. 'Tis going to be fun. >=D

Asdfjkl;

Homerow keys. Because I honestly could not think of a title.   Let me think... what's new in life...     Uh. Oh, yeah. Wednesday was a snow day, which contrary to belief really sucked. See, we have no allotted snow days this year, so if we have one, then we lose a day off somewhere else. In this case, today we would have not had school, but instead we had off on Wednesday. I mean, really, a four-day weekend is so much better than a day off in the middle of the week and then a three day weekend

Valentine's Day...

So, Valentine's Day.   What does that have to do with a martyr dying?   I mean, I understand the history of the holiday, after Claudius put Valentine to death some guy was like "I will be as devoted to you as Valentine was to God" or something along those lines, and poof, we get St. Valentine's Day.   But honestly, Hallmark (the term essentially standing place for all holiday-oriented companies of the like) just took it and ran with it. Where did all those poofy red hearts come from? And Cupi

Craziness

I've had a crazy week.   Last night I spent filling out a bajillion forms that I didn't know about until yesterday and that were due today, concerning next year's course selections. I was down to my counselor three times this week. That is, past seven days, not week starting on Sunday.   I've had a cough all week, every since I was sick last week. Today I think I'm definitely improving. It only took three Ricola to get me up to here today. Went whole hours without a cough drop in my mouth. Fir

How To Do Stuff

Edits are fine. Edits are wonderful. However 1: MSpaint USUALLY does not suffice for editting: the program was created to draw on the computer, not to perform advanced photomanipulation, which is what Photoshop and other stuff is for. 2: If editting is your thing, if filters and adjustments and cut-and-paste and color alterations really make you tick, if it runs in your very soul, that's wonderful! I'd love to see something by you. If you edit just because it mak funee piktur or because you hope

Also On The Equator...

WHAT IF... there was a fence going around the Equator? Who would be inside the fence, and who would be outside the fence?   Or better. Let's say there's an imaginary planet with this fence around its Equator, and the fence is built so that it lies PERFECTLY on one plane, right on the middle line of that planet, with EXACTLY the same amount of atoms on both the North and the South sides of that plane. The north pole is EXACTLY as far from the fence as the south pole is. The North population is e

It Was So Cold Yesterday...

That I ended up with a cold myself. Which is why I'm home today.   Sick days are way overrated... I woke up with every muscle in my body sore and a very much complaining stomach, not to mention a headache that feels like a cannon being fired at my skull from inside my brain and no appetite whatsoever.   *mutter* If I can see my breath inside the bus, then one would assume that the driver should TURN ON THE HEATER...   But after some Tylenol I feel better. Though I'll still be taking the stair

It Was So Cold Today...

You know why they have those cracks in the sidewalk? Because when it's hot in the summer, the concrete in the sidewalk expands, and when it's cold in the winter, it contracts, right? That way there's room for the little cracks in the sidewalk to get bigger or smaller as the concrete blocks contract or expand with the cold or the heat, all respectively. So the concrete doesn't instead crack or buckle as it heats and cools alternately.   Well apparently they do that in roads too, it's just had to

Recommended Reading

According to my record I've read 38 books outside of school since the beginning of the school year. I'm almost certain I've forgotten at least five off the list since I always forget to add at least the title before I return the books and I have to wrack my mind for what I've missed and I always get the nagging feeling that I haven't quite got them all.   Anyway, I read quite a lot. It makes the bus ride to and from school more interesting.   So running down the list, here are the books that r

2010

First off, happy February 1st. Well ain't it great that I remembered it's a new month?   Secondly, it's 2007. No duh. In 3 years it will be 2010. Aren't you all glad that I know my addition?   My point is, when it comes to 2010, will you say "twenty-ten" or "two-thousand-and-ten" (or "two-thousand-ten")?   On a completely unrelated note, I got to use three different punctuation marks in a row! That is, " ")? ". Which makes it five. Yay. I reached six before...   Anyway, yeah. That was the po

90 Minute Delayed Reaction

Guess what? It snowed about two inches today. Thats JUST enough that a car coming by will crush it into ice as opposed to just melting it under friction, like when we got a centimeter. So naturally roads covered in ice are not exactly safe, so we need to bring in the plows.   Therefore, lo and behold, we got a 90 minute delayed opening! Huzzah!   Guess what? JUST as I was loading the school website to check for a delayed opening, as my danged internet connection was going "Connecting... connec

15 + 19 = 36

According to my Math II SAT II study book, 15 + 19 = 36.   WHAT!?   I think their editor DIED midway through working on the book. So many of the problems are so screwed up...   Like the one where they use the 30-60-90 right triangle pattern. Okay, fine. HOWEVER THE SIDE OPPOSITE THE 30 DEGREE ANGLE CANNOT BE LARGER THAN THE SIDE OPPOSITE THE 60 DEGREE ANGLE! Yeesh! Side opposite the 30 degree angle is a and the side opposite the 60 degree angle is a root three, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.   An

What If...

What if there was a mountain as tall as Everest... nay, better, TALLER than Everest, but it was smack dab on the Equator?   Would it be really hot or really cold at the summit? Where does proximity to the sun balance with thin air being unable to hold heat? Would it not be strange to have a load of ice and snow sitting on the hottest area on Earth?   I don't know where I think of these things.   Also, it's a picture.   Yay for Prismas.

I'm Going With The Flow But It Flows The Wrong Way

I like to write, and I wish I were good at it. I suppose when talent's not an option you just gotta train the skill...   But while sometimes the words just flow and you know the situation and it's just THERE and it all fits, other times I have to force it out the tip of my fingers. Like those annoying dried paint tubes, where you can hardly get the cap off and the tube itself is so scrunched up you gotta piledrive it to force anything out of it.   ANYWAY.   It's just hard, you know? If I need

Tabula Rasa

You know what's great about snow? It's so clean. It's completely white, but not hospital white... just, snow-white. There's no other way to describe it. It's natural.   It's been snowing on and off lately, never enough to stay during the day. But apparently it snowed last night and absolutely everything is covered with exactly one centimeter of snow, coated over. One centimeter over the driveway. One centimeter over the road. One centimeter clumped up over the grass.   And part of what makes s

"edit" In Title! Pleeeeease!

Four letters somehow inserted into your topic title will not kill you. That rule seems to be forgotten so often. I can find about three new topics each day in the Art forum that are edits, without the indication in the title.   See the problem here is, each time I actually DO expect drawn art when I click on the topic. I'm not kidding, the reason that Pohuaki instituted the rule is in fact valid.   'Cuz you know, every time you don't put edit in your topic title, part of Psycho Kitty dies.

Nature's Like That

Well, it's winter.   Thank you Captain Obvious.   Anyway, the days have grown very short but in these days in the month past solstice we have the rare opportunity of seeing the sunrise on every lucid morning. I get up at 6 and go to the bus stop at 6:55 AM each day, and that just so happens to coincide with the length of the night so that walking to the stop, or whilst riding the bus, outside the sun just happens to be rising.   Several weeks ago I had the rare opportunity of seeing the sun r

Ohhhhh Boy...

Okay, I didn't get time yesterday to post this (for reasons which will be elaborated in this entry) and two more very interesting things happened today, so I'ma gonna need ta post two entries consecutively.   Anyway, yesterday... was very busy. Because in the evening I had this college seminar from 7 to 9, and I had Digital Darkroom afterschool (Computer Graphics club).   You can imagine what I thought when, on the late bus ride home, our bus decided to get a flat tire. We had to wait somethin

A Dream...

Over forty years ago a certain man had a dream. That all people in the world could be equal, that no basis of race would be cause for discrimination.   It was a dream that he fought, and died, for. But how well are we keeping the dream alive today?   It's something to think about. How many people still make a conscious effort? Has everyone truly learned to accept? Do politics and religion and business leave room for an equal playing field for everyone?   Has one man's dream really come true?

Go Mark Twain!

Now that I'm old enough to appreciate the non-dumbed-down little-kid abridged versions of good ol' Samuel Clemens' work, I find it highly entertaining. Mark Twain was a very funny man. We're doing Huck Finn in English class right now, and the way he writes the situations and how so many characters have NO idea what they're talking about...   Like the scene where Tom Sawyer is forming their little "Band of Robbers" and talking about killing people and robbing them (naturally, we're talking a gro

Ain't they adorable? =D   yay for da psychotic kitty! One with the blood on her paws. Definitely my favorite one. I have like twenty-nine-thousand and a half other doodles of her, all with speech bubbles to accompany them.   No they don't have pupils.
