With a bit of practice you get used to it, actually. S's are tricky, as are the b-d and q-p things... and I sometimes leave out letters (like the K in backwards, for some reason).
It's fun. I'm trying to work out a good font that makes it not obvious right away that it's just normal writing, backwards... it's very hard, really. People just recognize some of those letters righ

So while working with some Kanji, it occurred to me that despite the fact that I definitely know the Hiragana, I'm not nearly familiar enough with them. Meaning if you told me, "Write 'nu'" I'd probably need to hesitate a second or two, remember what it looks like, and then write it. I don't have this problem with more commonly used kana but I still want to be able to achieve almost instantaneous familiarity with these characters.

Yeah I dunno how G Gundam was split up but 24 seems like it could have been a season finale. Anyway, just finished up to there.
Ah, you gotta love the classics... no, it doesn't have the fancy animation quality of 2000's anime, and some of the cheesier bits made me chuckle, but they do work, and they don't skimp on the animation during the important scenes, it's really a great show, and the God Gundam is one sexy machine.

Anyway! A translation! To the best of my ability with some omissions to maintain a semblance of a meter (otherwise some of the lines would be twice as long as the others) and some modifications to keep some kind of a rhythm (or it'd just sound odd) and some word choice just because it's cooler that way.
I don't usually watch scary movies since I'm a self-proclaimed coward. But being here has been all about doing something new.
So I watched 1408 and it scared the living daylights out of me, then cast a revive spell and scared them out again.
It was a good movie but as far as I'm concerned, I'm going to generally avoid the horror genre from now on. Not my cup of tea. Or blood, as the case may be.
OH YEAH almost forgot I saw the Mahri teaser at the theater. Pretty nice...

History wasn't as bad as I thought. Chem, I wasn't worried about in the first place, but History wasn't too bad. Mostly big-picture things, you know? So it was much easier than the more specific tests throughout the year (how the heck would I know who Hubert Humphrey is? He sounds like Humpty Dumpty's cousin!).
Two more days, three more finals... C'mon Lyg, you can do this...

Very nice to have a clean slate that I haven't screwed up with loads of downloaded @&*^!! While the OS was setting up, I compiled a list of the programs I really use, various utilities like 7-zip and TeraCopy, etc. got all that stuff installed and now it's basically usable.
Speaking of which, stick with Vista vs. upgrade to Windows 7, pros/cons of each? Anyone more tech-savvy with some suggestions?

So I just finished episode 26 of Neon Genesis Evangelion. To put it in perspective, I started yesterday.
This is something I never thought I'd do. For one thing I've really never been a huge anime fan. Not a hater, just never really that interested.
Well the story of how I ended up here is a bit convoluted. It involves a lot of related video links on "that video site" (you know the place). So basically Sunday night I found myself watching the opening credits for Eva.
