Your Taxes Are Due!

Well, technically they're not, as today is simply the filing deadline for us United States citizen. Our taxes were (should have been) taken out throughout the course of the previous year.   So if you haven't so yet, get crackin' because those taxes don't pay themselves... or do they?   ©1984-2009 Toaraga EAM

Your Signature Here

Because five lines is sometimes not enough to say all we want to say and some of us like to change our signatures from time-to-time, I decided to do something. (No, I didn't change the rules.) I decided to dedicate a place in my blog to signature sayings for the departed lines: I call it the SignatUrchives. Mainly, it's for when I'm going to change my signature, but I thought it would also be nice to record other people's, as well; however, it's only for people who are changing their signatures,

You Will Read Me

It's either a command, a suggestion, or a foreknowledge that you will inevitably read this entry. I dedicate this one to you, KIE.   Anyway, I'm beginning a temp job this week for college rush... actually, I've only got two days of training to basically get acquainted with the role (whatever new things there might be from last time I was there), but next week the real fun begins.   I'm also taking a couple courses; oh, they're going to be so much fun.   I'm saving up my money from this job

You Remembered!

Well, it's nice to know I wasn't forgotten here on my birthday (I actually didn't even think to visit that day, but it was a very busy day, and I wasn't really on the Internet anyway). Thanks for the birthday wishes though.   ©1984-2013 Toaraga EAM

You Know You Want To

As he sat on his sinking Titanic brand boat, he realized why this company had such a bad reputation; if only he had gone with the Sink or Swim Boat Insurance, some of this might've been avoided. Like a Kodak camera, his day flashed before his eyes as the boat sank faster.   It had started with some Eggo waffles (no chocolate chips), Tropicana orange juice, and some Borden milk. Upon finishing his meal, he grabbed his Dell laptop, headed out the front door, and jumped onto his 10-speed Schwinn b

You Get What You Pay For

Ever wonder why LEGO's prices seem so high? Well, wonder no more... or wonder until I give you a possible answer. Then do whatever you want with this information.   Anyway, when you purchase a LEGO item, you're not just purchasing that item, you're also paying for excellent customer service. Now I've seen numerous topics with letters and what-nots of people's experience with LEGO, and I can vouch that it has got to be one of the best companies I've had to deal with.   The times I've had to com

Yeah Really- Golden Sun

Golden Sun- GBA, 2001     That game is pure win: the main character's element is earth, not fire, plus the graphics and animation are pretty decent for the time and system it was released on. Even when buying stuff, mostly weapons and armor, you still have a lot of money by the end of the game; you find most everything you need. This actually applies to both games, since the mechanics and everything are basically the same, but all things considering, I don't know the complete game would've f

Yay, I Have Fans!

Something I heard through the grapevine: I'm glad someone else enjoyed seeing my MOCs in person: there's so much more joy for people to see the actual things and not just pictures I took myself. It doesn't just make me happy: others get to enjoy a possible work of art.  That's probably what makes Brickfest so great. Even if there weren't any contests, it's one time a year when people get to share what they've built, etc. by more than just digital representation. Shipping is a small price to pa

Working Title

Ha, that's the best title ever, and it works for just about everything because it means nothing and something at the same time. There's no deep thought behind that statement... just trust me.   Anyway, on to today's "BZP Breakdown," as these little staff segments should be called. *Hint, hint* Okay, so how important is a title, and why should you care?   As someone who constantly names his creations without much problem, I know that a name can sometimes make or break something. If I give some

Word Of The Entry

It's time for a new segment I like to call "Word of the Entry" (obviously). Herein, I shall try to provide a word at the end of each entry and use it in a new way within a sentence; you might know what this means, and you might not. (Let's just say that it makes heavy use of word play.) I'll just show you something simple, so you can see what I mean.   Entry's word: Syllable Used in a sentence: If you syllable in a very small space, it will get angry and might kill you.   Basically, the idea

Wiinternet Access

I was going to write this on a Wii, but after trying to send a PM that didn't even go through, I decided not to. Just using the Wii to surf the Internet is going to be a pain unless the USB keyboard is somehow integrated. First off, it's hard to type when I have to move my "mouse" to each individual letter; yes, I know some suggested words come up, but if what I'm typing is short or not even listed, those suggestions are pointless. Second, I don't want to waste batteries while trying to get to e

Why So Pokémon?

I went there. Too bad the picture didn't.   FYI, look at the date to see how long I've had this guy (planned for longer); this was just the first chance I've had to get the screenshot. The not-so-great quality screenshot.   ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM

Why I Hate Brawl

One file! One stupid file!   Unless I buy my own Wii, my hands are virtually tied on doing just about anything, and second player has no bearing on Subspace Emissary if it's the last life. I can hardly play anything because my brother doesn't want me to unlock any challenges, and he gets upset if I basically beat his record on anything (such as, playing hard after he tackled normal:). It makes it rather difficult to even play Brawl itself, considering each of those practically unlocks a chall

Why I Hate April Fools

People get too skeptical, and no one can really be trusted. Even if you're known for telling the truth, people tend to doubt you... and you don't even have to cry wolf twice.   The phrase "this is not a joke" means almost nothing anyway, so why use it? It's kind of like using the phrase "no offense" before saying something to whomever you're talking any other time of the year. (I hate that phrase.)   People have these big expectations for jokes. When there is a big joke, people aren't impres

Who Wants To Be A Kid Again?

Hmm, that sounds like a bad reality/game show.   Anyway, I was thinking about how the young ones that are forced to go to school (college and beyond is a choice). What saddens me is that as we get older, their summers seem to get shorter. It has nothing to do with time flying or anything: it has to do with shortening the allotted length. At the rate things seem to go each year, July might soon be the only month they get off.   Oh well, you should enjoy it while it lasts, no matter how brief, b

Where's The Beef?

So I got Pridak, but I'm not totally impressed with him. I do like the feet, big as they are, so that's not my complaint. What bothers me is he's somewhat lanky for my tastes, but less so since getting an idea from Pekel's review. (Funny that I should read that before making this: I was about to when I noticed the review.)   Anyway, one thing that bothers me about the lankiness is that it's almost as if Pridak wants to collapse. Something that seems desparately needed is some armor, which leads

What? Hate And/or Loathing It Is Then.

Romance, cards, and "enough sugar to send a diabetic into shock," is that what Valentine's Day has come to be? (Let's not forget there's enough mushy specials to make the most stoic person gag.) Why do we need or have one day a year set aside to express love toward each other, even just toward our fellow humans?   Oh well, it's one of the five major shopping days I look forward to... sort of. Actually, it's more like February 15, July 5, November 1, December 26, and the day after Easter becau

What Was I Thinking?

Pardon the previous entry; I just suffered through almost my entire shift of having the song play through a loop... if only my headphones had been working, then the suffering would have been tolerable. >_<   Anyway, everyone should know that Comic Sans MS is a terrible font to read lengthy things, such as posts or blog entries, in, but it's not too bad in small doses. I have been going over my past entries and ridding them of that atrocious sight.   I must say it's quite insightful to b

What It Takes To Be A Leader

Who said being a leader is about doing any actual work? It's about delegating responsibility and shirking all your chores.   "If you enjoy your job, you'll never work a day in your life." -Unknown   ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM
