Another Addition To My Final Fantasy Xii Collection

"The "international" version of the game, released on August 9, 2007, includes a new version of the License Board system, with twelve grids available instead of one, each corresponding to a different Zodiac sign and Job. Guest characters are controllable in battle. The game features English voices of the North American version. There is also a New Game+ which starts off the game with characters at Level 90. Finally, a new mode called "Trial" allows the player to hunt monsters in a series of 100

Anime Boston Coverage (from My Eyes)

So last weekend was AnimeBoston, an anime convention where attendees come together and rant about anime and stuff, and also cosplay as characters from games, anime, manga, movies, and comics.   I went as Balthier from Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War.   Thursday was the day I went. Drove to Boston and checked in. Met up with Ashley and her friends, since they were staying with me at the hotel. We hung out to refresh ourselves. Later that night, they ran off to do thei

An Interesting Turn Of Events

So a few entries back I wrote about my girlfriend (now ex), who left me for some dude, and didn't bother telling me until like 4 weeks laters.   Well it turns out the dude is no longer interested in her, putting her in the same boat I was in (I left the boat, cuz I rather be a drifter).   So as cold as it may sound, I find this to be very ironic, and a little funny. Nah scratch that, I find it to be hilarious.   This is what happens when you choose Door #2. You get crud for prizes.   -Omi

Airtran Sucks

I am at the airport with Astro (Lara. She forced me to refer to her as Astro from now on, or else).   And we are waiting for the boarding on Airtran, is like the cheap version of United Airways, which is the cheap version of American Airlines.   She is playing FFVI.   -Omi

Advice To Everyone

Please resize your pictures to a decent smaller size before uploading them and posting them directly on BZP! Not only do your 2000x2000 image take up the WHOLE freaking screen, but it also slows down the loading process for the page and causes lots of lagging. What makes it worse is when you have SEVERAL of them. I'm just gonna have to stop reading blogs now cuz of this.

About My Name

Ok I lied, and because daydreamer pinched me. This will be my last entry of sorts, I guess.   Everyone seems to be confused about the name Volar, and why I have it.   Well it is Spanish for "to fly", and generally used to note someone of being "fly" (as in cool).   I first came upon the word when I went to Hong Kong. There was a VIP Members Only 21+ nightclub called Volar (originally called Fly). I know the bartender who works there, so I made frequent visits during my stay in the city. I was

About My Avatar

Someone brought up my avatar and said it was indecent cuz it has Arnold smoking a cigar.   First and foremost, he isn't smoking it. He is holding it. It isn't lit, nor is there any smoke. Just a promotional pose for Batman and Robin (and also Arnold's trademark)   Let me rewind back to when the staff did the Spiderman fad. Both Bionicle Rex and I had two characters who smoked cigars: Kingpin and Jameson, My avatar had him with the cigar in his mouth, and BR had the Kingpin avatar with Kingpin

A Teacher's Dream

My sociology teacher told me that I am what teachers would dream of in a student. Most students sit in a class and are too shy to participate in discussion. However I am not like that because I pretty much get discussion rolling, and I say my intelligent views and such, not minding if I get called out on them by another student.   Which is the sad thing about students. They are scared to share their views because someone else will shoot them down. It is usually like that, and I have no problem

A Special Dedication

This is a picture of me with one of the few people I look up to, Carrie. On the radio she is know as Mistress Carrie, a disc-jockey on 107.3 WAAF in Boston. I started listening to her when I was 12 when she was still new and when she did the night shift. Because of listening to her for all these years, I wanted to be like she is: a disc-jockey. I wanted to be heard, to meet amazing people, and rock the airwaves. I was finally able to meet her last year at WAAF's Locobazooka in Fitchburg, MA. I w

A Secret To Becoming Staff

Everything Rich has said here is true. However I am gonna give ya a little tip for those who wish to become staff in the future.   Selflessness.   When you want to be staff, should never be about you. Should be about BZP and its members.   Back in 2004 before I was promoted to the Support Team, I wanted to be a staff member. I did not want it for the position. I wanted it to further my goal to help members, which in turn came to be a success.   Over the time I was a little troublesome and al

A Rant On People Who Use Elevators

One thing that bugs me, and I see it everyday at school.   Why do regular people feel the need to use an elevator to go up (or down) one level? I see this at school everyday when I am on break. Just regular students without disabilities just using it to go up (or down) that one level, when the stairs just happen to be right next to it. I see this as extreme laziness and it needs to stop.   -Omi

A Note On The Current Situation

As you may have seen, some BZP members have been hacked within the week. Do not be alarmed. These hackers are just trying to bother the site.   The staff would appreciate it that when a member is hacked, report it immediately to a staff member (preferably a Moderator and up and is active at the moment). Please try not to get involved, such as messaging the member, posting in any topic they make after being hacked, and also commenting in their profile. These hackers want the attention.   So ple

A New Investment For Omi?

This happens to be my brother's sport bike. Rides it all the time. For some odd reason, I am just tempted to buy one for myself. Of course, mine would be a better model than his.   -Omi

A Little Piece Of The Parker History

Some of you young kids may not know this, but some of the older members might.   Around 1 1/2 centuries ago, there was a man named Henry Clay Work, who was born and lived in Middletown, CT. He wrote a song called My Grandfather's Clock, which was written about a real grandfather clock. This old song was a great hit during the times, and still is to this day. When it went overseas to Japan, it became a huge hit. So huge, that Japanese R&B and Pop sing Ken Hirai did a cover of that song in 20

A Lesson To All Drivers

Although the word has many definitions to the world, the one pertaining to driving basically means giving the right of way to something else. Whether it be a pedestrian, car, or an animal, this sign wants you to yield to them instantly.   However I can't stress it enough, seriously. People do not know how to yield these days and many accidents occur because of it. When you come to a yield sign, and see someone coming, either accelerate faster, or just wait till they pass. People usually start t

A Fantasy Reborn

Please listen to this while reading.   In an unnamed world that relies on four elemental crystals to survive suddenly turns to darkness. The waters sink a civilization. The wind stopes blowing and airships decline to the ground. The earth dies and agriculture fails to live. Raging fires cannot be controlled.   It won't be until a few hundred years later that 4 chosen Light Warriors come to the aid of the world. They traverse the lands to restore each of the crystals, and defeat the Elemental f

A Day With Omi

So I basically was up early, doing the usual "ugggggggggggh" moments. Then went to the bank with my brother and did some major transactioning with money. Then we drove around to do his errands and stuff. Man it was so friggin hot out.   Anyways went to lunch at Burgar King. Usually I don't eat there, but I was hungry and desperate and stuff. Had myself a chicken tenderloin. MMMMMMMMM was it good.   However there was one thing that I did not like. Every fast food I go to, whether it be Mcdonal
