Lego = No Life

hey it's felix

according to oh so many people I know. It's actually beginning to really annoy me now. I'm getting comments on my pictures on other sites telling me to get rid of my Lego, which is 100% not going to happen. Anyone else got problems like this?

My parents keep acting like Lego is a horrible addiction that I have to get rid of. So I can see where you're coming from.

Ugh. My parents say the same thing :P Although they're perfectly fine with it, until school comes around or something else I have to focus on.

My parents grew up with Lego, and my dad is still a small nut for it. So the're fine with it.

And, no one else really knows I like it, except my close friend(and my only one ._.[oh, and that's IRL]) and he likes it too. So I've gotten lucky so far.

I don't belong to any websites that aren't Lego-related, so it doesn't matter. My friends in real life either don't know that I like Lego or know that I like it and don't really care. All of my grandparents, cousins, and such know that I like Lego, and don't have a problem with it. One of my cousins is actually a huge Bionicle geek. My parents both think my love of Lego is a great thing, especially my dad, who used to buy the sets when he was a kid. In fact, he still has most of the first Lego Space line in boxes in our garage.

So no, I don't really have that problem.

I don't have that problem either. My friends haven't really said anything, and my parents think that my love of Lego is a good thing. My mother says that that means I like using my brain (which I really do). :)

The people I know seem to be okay with it, but if anyone, anywhere, even ticks me off about it, I have an entire plan concocted to thwart those rude people, which include a long rant on LEGO's properties as a creative medium and pictures of the best MOCs ever.

If I even have to put that plan into action and it fails, I'll go all THIS IS SPARTAAAA! on the person and kick them out a window. (I know it's not exactly a well shut up ._.)

Haha well you're just lucky :P Most of my friends are ok with it, it's just other people who aren't really my friends that give me a hard time about it....

My parents also think that my love of lego is a good thing, but they think I'm absolutely obsessed with it xP

Well, when this guy on another site started harassing me about Lego being for little 'uns, I just showed him VampireBohrok's Peloria and that shut him up :)

SPARTAAA never fails B)

Every time I bring another set home, I think my parents die a little.

:P My parents are always trying to get me to ask for other things for Christmas and my Birthday... but I don't really want much apart from Hero Factory or Bionicle sets.

My parents are fine with it, but they seem to think its a bit childish these days. My friends... ugh, I would never even try to.explain it to them.

You must NOT get rid of your Lego and Bionicle pieces, even if everyone in Australia thinks you should. People who say this are not very intelligent. It's a great thing, Lego. And as I said before, there's no age to like Lego and Bionicle and to MOC. Look at Black Six, our forum administrator. He's 23. So, keep MOCing please.

And personally, my parents are okay and let me get Bionicles. They like my MOCs, and my father admired my sets. Anyway, I will NEVER get rid of my pieces.

Good plan. Imma have to try that.

Most people I know are either fine with the fact that I like Lego or don't know (and probably don't care) that I do. My parents only don't like Lego when it interferes with more important things -- homework and exercise, mostly.

Besides, they know full well that there are adults out there that collect Lego as their primary hobby, so they're mostly fine with it.

Not really.

Most people just accept that I like Lego and BIONICLE, possibly because I have a reputation of being odd.

Sumiki, your plan is awesome.

Wait, Felix. I've an even better example than Black Six: Cajun. He's 44 and he MOCs.

My father is 44 too, and he liked my sets.

Hehe ^_^

Sumiks, you are win.

I'm not allowed to get a bigger bed until I stop liking lego and get rid of them. My bed is small.

Owwwww....

Me, I'm kinda getting that problem; my parents think that it's a waste of money for me (but not for my younger brothers. I hate that, I truly do.), so I have to buy it all myself now, and I don't really get enough money to do that. What I call a set buying spree now is buying three sets in two months.

...

Yeah. :P

It's probably going to be worse down the road; but I'm DEFINITELY not going to even mention it to my friends. :P

They all think I'm insane already... although, I question their sanity too. :P
