It's been a bit but whatever. The rules are simple, you ask yes/no questions about the riddle and I'll answer them. Once you've figured the riddle out, feel free to state the answer.

 

A car pulls up to a hotel. As soon as it does, the owner of the car knows he's bankrupt. Why?

The man was playing Monopoly. He was moving his game piece, which is the car-shaped one, to a space occupied by another player's hotel piece. He was low on Monopoly money, and the amount he has left happened to be exactly how much he has to pay. Therefore, he knows he's bankrupt.

 

If you know the answer beforehand, please don't ruin it for everyone else. Thanks!
