Give Me Sentences

Nukaya

I need sentences for my drawing final. I'll take a few of them that I like, and create them into finalized drawings.

Guidelines:

-Make up sentences. They cannot be from a pre-existing book, magazine, movie, poem, etc.

-No established characters if there is a person in the sentence. If you're going to have a person in it, make them up.

-Nothing inappropriate (i.e., follow BZP rules here)

These are some examples from Chris Van Allsburg's book The Mysteries of Harris Burdick that kind of follow a rough idea of how I want to do this project, with a very narrative feel:

Under the Rug:

Two weeks passed and it happened again.

The Seven Chairs

The fifth one ended up in France.

Thanks!

Man, I had a good one, but pre-existing and all that. So I'm going to modify it and switch in some pronouns and verbs:

He stood with the detachment of a god.

Swert

"The ocean reflected the dawn."

[/made from a brain running on 4 hours of sleep and one can of soda]

"Little did they know the dawn was not coming."

For the record, this is not a follow-up to Swert's sentence. :P

I killed a man. With this thumb.

Ok, I said no quotes from preexisting things. Movies count. Even ones from Ratatouille.-Nukaya

The nomadic wind came gently from the west.

"Of course I can," he lied.

(Yeah, I've really got nothing.)

One hundred million is just a number.

Or

He is already here.

As much as I would like to use that last one, it's more or less a Homestuck quote and I said nothing from pre-existing things.

And the project would just become Homestuck art (which would be AWESOME) and I don't think my professor would let that fly.-Nukaya

I just wanted to say thank you for reminding me of the name of that book. I heard about it in fourth grade but forgot the title ever since, which was a shame because there was something mesmerizing about it.

No sentence, since I'm assuming the project's already finished, but I hope you did fine and had fun.
